"Yea, real winners we got here. Cowards using this as a chance to act like thugs."
Talon will move forward matching Mirais and recalls to his mind the Norris technique for dealing with multiple opponents. Martial Flexibility for Cleave.

Three peals? three? now?!?
She began completely distracted and angry by the random tolling, This threw off all her calculations for sure! She pulled her abacus from her hip and began doing calculations on the peal pattern...It wasnt until Mirais well taunted the thugs that she noticed any of the crazed change about her.
Oh...dear.
She said with a frown standing up and pulling out her cudgel. Her 'uncle' had given it to her to keep creeps away in her occasional late night forays at bars.

The Black Thorn takes in the erupting chaos, cursing to herself. The guards along with their deputized thugs would be hell bent on taking down anyone they could pin a treason charge on. This needed to end before it started.
In a heartbeat she considers, choosing to give the fools a single chance at living through the next few minutes. She draws an arrow, one with an oddly-shaped head, marked with weird runes and fires in their midst, her well placed shot culminating in a cacophonous roar.
Aiming in the middle of the group of 4: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Thunder Arrow - Creatures within a 10-foot-radius spread (should get all 4)from the point of impact must make a DC 15 Fortitude save or be deafened for 1 hour.
Here's hoping this dampens their fire
The downside to highest initiative, technically you started it :P
"Let's start things off with a bang shall we?" she says aloud, unable to resist.

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Damn, HR is apparently very generous with the initiative rolls.
"Still wanna play? As he spoke his body seemed to convulse for a blink before settling, if anything had even happened at all. But his golden eyes were now much sharper, and there was a tuft that quickly jutting against his cloak from his backside briefly.

Her blow soundly wallops the 1st, but strikes wild on the second.
2nd: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22Sap: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Put off by the stout blow to the head, one misses, but his comrade lands a solid blow to Mirais. 5 points nonlethal
The other two look to make their way to Zev and company, but one looks clearly unsettled by Zev's words.
Taking advantage of his fear, Lensar holds out a bit of wool, mumbles a few words and stops him in his tracks, leaving only one foe to reach them next round.
Mirais
Mirais is about to breathe a sigh of relief when her first hit connects, but panic gets hold of her when the thug hits her right into her side. Her arms visibly shaking, the tiefling takes a step back and tries to get to a point where she can intercept her enemies, trying to follow the basic combat advises that Zev gave her in the past weeks.
However, having never actually fought someone, Mirais can't do anything but flail the spear shaft wildly at the Citizen Group thugs, tears starting to streak down her cheeks as fear fills her heart.
What am I even trying to do here?! I'm a good for nothing: how could I have even hoped to be of help?

Archepex leaps up and onto the small cafe's roof with a slight assist from her wings. There she sights the thug that had gone stupid (dazed) and fires. Stupid humans. They couldn't even attack correctly. They should have revealed themselves later. They might have prevented her gaining the higher ground that way. Maybe.

Severed nearly in two, the women falls to the ground in an ever growing pond of blood.
The nearby crowd shrieks in horror as they splattered with liquid from the blow.
The blood split goads someone in the riot to hurl a blade at the women, Nox, catching her deep in the throat.

Sorry to hear that, sending good energy your way
Lensar Major
Seeing that death is allowable in their actions, Lensar shakes his head and points his blade at the "militia" getting secondary attention from Talon and maneuvers himself around to aid his new blood brother.
"I'm afraid you're now in the wrong, and we will show you what happens to those in the wrong!"

The sudden movements from Zev startled her, even more when he split the woman in two. She blinked at the chaos erupting and moved closer to Mirais.
We need to go! this is bound to get ugly!
She called out touching Mirais' shoulder, before trying to club the one that Mirais was battling. Her swing was wildly ineffectual it might indeed have been the first time she had actually swung the club at something that wasnt air.

Greatswords don't really have a non-lethal option -_-

Most weapons do. It's called -4 to hit. It's okay, not everyone values sentient life.

Go f#%& yourself, Zev does value life, he's just not a pacifist, and he values the life of his friends over those of some racist tyrannical thugs.

whoa calm down everyone. Revolutions are not bloodless affairs. The moment Canache gets actually attacked the gloves are coming off as well. You vigilantes can have your code it will be fine *nods* its all good Zev, that was such a hard stroke even had you went for subdual you still might have killeded her. She should have learned to dodge better Mark that one on your sheet we can keep track of kills and see who has more by level 3 :)

You will argue your point and character beliefs in a civil manner.
This is a game of people, respect that your tastes and opinions will be different from others and keep it civil.
A clash of beliefs between characters can be interesting and fun, this doesn't look like that at all.
I will not let this degrade into something worse.

I'll make one point for everyone to take note of. Stuff said in character is a case of characters disagreeing. Stuff said OOC is essentially a personal attack, and that goes for both open hostility and snide little comments. Neither is necessary, even when provoked.
Remember kids, rule 1 "Don't be a dick"
That being said, putting myself in character, if a good friend of mine was being wailed on, to the point where she's so terrified she'd crying, and the people that did it almost beat a man to death in front of me earlier......I can't honestly say that somebody wouldn't end up dead. You help your friend and worry about the consequences later.

Mirais's swings wildly but fails to hit anyone.
Abrasax's higher vantage point gives her just enough of an edge to let her shot strike true.
Talon shatters his opponents jaw, leaving him to slump to his knees, out of the fight.

Her eyes widening at the brutal, devastating assault delivered by the man rushing to help the opera singe she recognized from a performance, the Black Thorn scans the crowd, eyes skipping from one group of attackers to the next seeking those in need of her aid.
Her eyes settle on a somewhat intellectual looking man, defending himself with a rapier. Though he'd managed to draw blood, it was going to take a lot more than that given the size of his opponent.
Taking careful aim, she lets fly with a tangleshot arrow, tagging the thug square in the chest, the explosion of adhesive getting his arms and face in the resulting splash.

A resounding crack and the accompanying thud of a body hitting the ground draws her eyes to a darkly intimidating masked man already turning towards the next threat.
'Was there any doubt of finding The Demon in the thick of it?' she thinks with a grin.

Abrasax notices the other archer's work and looks around. She is mildly surprised to find a human perched up on the roof of a nearby building.
Hmmm. I must meet this human.
The din of battle draws her attention back, specifically to the only unscathed thug. She reloads and fires.

The remaining thug manages to avoid becoming entangled and begins to withdraw as he is struck by Abrasax's shot.
He is clearly attempting to leave the fight.
Your actions, however, have drawn the attention of two dottari guard.
They advance on your position with determination.
STAY WHERE YOU ARE AND LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS!!! YOU ARE TO BE BOUND BY LAW, IF YOU RESIST ARREST, WE WILL USE FORCE TO APPREHEND YOU!!!LAY ON THE GROUND IMMEDIATELY!!!
It will be a round or two before they can make their way to you.
Behind them, next to the opera, Nox wipes the blood from her throat revealing a rapidly healing wound. In a moment or two, it looks like it never happened.
The remaining dottari continue their slow advance, pushing the rioters out of the square and meting out pain to any that resist.
They will reach your position on round 7.
Talon Skyfall
"Nope, I like my arms where they are." Talon retorts moving in the opposite direction.
Zev Kelevra
"Mira, we need to go. Can you move?" Zev worryingly asks his friend as the guards advance.
Canacha Bais
Come on Mirais lets go!
She added to Zev's concern waving her club wildly back and forth while reaching for Mirais' hand trying to drag her away deeper into the press.

Zev scoops up the tiefling in his arms if he has to.
Or tries to anyway.
Mirais
Mirais turns around after her fruitless swings just in the time to see Zev approaching the woman that attacked her. For a few moments, everything slowed down, as the tiefling could only hear the sound of a blade cleaving trough flesh, smashing the spine with a crunch.
Wide-eyed, Mirais stands motionless, staring at the cleaved corpse, oblivious to what was now happening around.
"You killed her..." the qlippoth-spaw whispers, looking at the pool of blood forming on the paving of the plaza, her mind unable to form cohesive thoughts for the moment.
When Zev and Canacha pulls her away, she opposes no resistance, but keeps staring at the dead woman even as she is led away from the scene.
