This is a private game, by invitation only!

To keep other threads clear, I've open this up.

As my players, this will be a chance for YOU to decide what you shall play!

So quirks, info and prejudices about me:

I like clear cut morality, moral quandarys are rare, but meaningful and hard.

I use a 25 point buy.

"Dump" stats are meaningless to me, most people are flawed, heros should be as well!

Most races are fine, custom races are fine as well, as long as the buy is 15 or less.

I use hero points, with one change, spending a point saves you from death.

I dislike having a merry go round of characters, so this gives you the chance to fight on, but if you bite it, it was earned.

I use max hit points at every level.

So, chime in! Let's do this thing!

Silver Crusade

Just for future reference if you want a private game you can just make a discussion thread rather than a recruitment thread so that way it won't appear in the recruiting forums :3

Um, I'm in a couple of games right now so I guess I'll just be selfish and throw out those I'm not currently playing.

Giantslayer
Shattered Star
Mummy's Mask
Kingmaker
Iron Gods
Serpent's Skull

Scarab Sages

El dots for the interest

My preferred games are:
Wrath of the Righteous
Rise of the Runelords
Giantslayer

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

*sniff* I really wish we could get the lesbians and kitty game going again.

Scarab Sages

Of the ones Rysky posted giantslayer, Shattered star, mummy's mask, Iron Gods, and Serpents skull. I would also poke the new rebels one.

Is that enough options?

I have several characters to try.
-A cripplingly timid/paranoid Blue psion (shaper) who uses his astral constructs to interact with the world
-a ranged rock thrower that I haven't come up with a personality for yet
-a skald who inspires crazy strength in all around and plays his instrument on the skulls of his foes. Literally.
-and others...

Help Mamushka out in her old age, I'm not recallin that one clearly.

Of these, WotR or Giantslayer. Would be my preference

I'm actually relying on you all to choose your poison.

So far, Iron gods and Wraith are mentioned most, I believe.

Between those two, I'd give the edge to Wrath.

I'm leaning to that conclusion.

My table top group has currently vetoed it until one of our members has more experience, he's a bit green, awesome, but green.

It does fit my personal style nicely.

Silver Crusade

Depending on how many you'd get (or not) you'd might have to tweak a bunch of the mythic stuff in Wrath.

Giantslayer has an old school feel.

Shattered Star has a bunch of dungeon diving.

Iron Gods has Rubits.

Scarab Sages

Rubits?

Silver Crusade

I can't say any equivalent of "robot" without also saying it in Dr. Zoidberg's voice.

Scarab Sages

I also know for a fact that you're going to have to alter every single encounter of Wrath with the stats you mentioned. I heard it was balanced around a 15pt. buy party of 4...

For all of book 1 maybe.

Maybe.

Scarab Sages

I've only seen the first half of book one in two previous attempts. :(

Silver Crusade

Same :(

I give a higher buy and hero points so my lunc...players can be sturdy.

If encounters are ended a bit before lower buy heroes, that not a huge deal for me.

My current Iron Gods gave uses a 20 point buy.

So far, I've had two near TPK's and every player is on their 3rd or 4th generation character.

I've not really needed to modify it much, I've actually reduced some of the challenges, mostly because my dice roll smoking hot at the table.

A certain chainsaw wielding barbarian got several confirmed power attacing crit's and 3 characters.

I don't intend to run a meat grinder game, but I also don't pull punches.

A good point buy and hero points mitigate minor issues, and give PC'S the chance to really go for it.

It also helps reduce character turn over.

Scarab Sages

Don't worry. I have plenty of characters to turn over. :)

I'm running it and we're in book 4.

Book 1 is fine as is. After that not so much. The AP doesn't help matters by giving out so much loot. I even just got rid of some of it too.

Silver Crusade

My characters only seem to die when I don't want them to.

Scarab Sages

In my history of role playing games I think I've lost only 3 characters ever. I will flee before it gets too crazy. Wrath sounds fun. All paladin party go! I kid I kid I think

Scarab Sages

I've never tried an "all X" party...
I'll see what others want to play before deciding who I'm bringing. :)

We are going to do a holy roller game for our other gm.

2 pallys, an arcanist, warp rest and a cleric.

Everyone will take leadership and teamwork feats.

Our other g has killer track record, in Skull and Shackles he killed 5 characters of mine, two in one session.

So we are going to need to bring our super A+ game to the table to live.

We are devoting one session to building the party and I'll be running encounters to let us create a stratagem.

Dungeon is Rapping something or other:)

If it's Wrath, I'm gonna bring my kitty druid. Though I'm gonna tweak him a bit.

Scarab Sages

For wrath I have either a rock thrower or a melee buffing bloodrager/skald.

Maybe we should move to the Discussion tab?

I' d personally prefer Iron Gods much more than Wrath: I'm already in a Mythic game, but I have no game where to shoot lazorz D:

Not the end of the world if we go for WotR, though, particularly if we want to go for a theme party of some sort.

I've also heard that it requires some heavy rebalancing, though: more than one person on the board said it was easy even without Mythic Ranks. :/
The fact that Paizo has to have encounters give exp and not level at certain intervals really hurt the encounters in WotR

Scarab Sages

For iron gods I would bring my Shaper or my rock thrower.
("You have tech? I have rocks! RAWR!")

Yes,good idea let's move this to discussion tab.
