Simply staring at the dwarf isn't going to do anything.

GM Chyro |

In case you haven't looked up the 'defending' enhancement:
A defending weapon allows the wielder to transfer some or all of the weapon's enhancement bonus to his AC as a bonus that stacks with all others. As a free action, the wielder chooses how to allocate the weapon's enhancement bonus at the start of his turn before using the weapon, and the bonus to AC lasts until his next turn. This ability can only be placed on melee weapons.

GM Chyro |

I'm going to be away during the day tomorrow and expect not to be back before 21:00, Amsterdam timezone.

GM Chyro |

Father Burdock, don't worry. I'm not that kind of bastard. ;)
It just surprised me you guys didn't roll to heal up, like you usually do very quickly.
I was gonna set it to healthy asa someone would roll again.

GM Chyro |

Lyssa:
A creature that is taking bleed damage takes the listed amount of damage at the beginning of its turn. Bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 Heal check or through the application of any spell that cures hit point damage (even if the bleed is ability damage).
You could even say i'm doing you a favor, since otherwise he'd only bleed 1 each round.

Lyssa Kail |

Here the description of my feat, Belier's Bite (aka Bleeding Attack):
"When you damage an opponent with an unarmed strike, you deal an extra 1d4 bleed damage."
I dealt damage with my unarmed strike, and the moment that happened I dealt an extra 1d4 bleed damage. Exactly as the feat described.
The same thing you quoted:
"A creature that is taking bleed damage takes the listed amount of damage at the beginning of its turn. Bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 Heal check or through the application of any spell that cures hit point damage (even if the bleed is ability damage). Some bleed effects cause ability damage or even ability drain. Bleed effects do not stack with each other unless they deal different kinds of damage. When two or more bleed effects deal the same kind of damage, take the worse effect. In this case, ability drain is worse than ability damage."
The healing occurred after the enemy that was hit had already taken his own turn. As bleed damage is taken at the beginning of the turn of an enemy that's hit, the melee guy would've taken the 1d4 bleed damage at the start of his turn.
Then Grint attacked.
Then the melee guy was healed, causing him to no longer bleed.

GM Chyro |

Yes...and the problem is?
He got hit, bled on the hit, bled at his turn and was healed for 2 when the robey clw him.
It was in my description that he bled, prior to hitting back.

Lyssa Kail |

If bleed damage is expressed by a die roll, you reroll the damage each round (see FAQ bit below 'Bleed'). There wasn't a single roll for the bleed damage on his turn.

Grint Mavric |

What Lyssa means is that the guy should bleed for 1d4 of damage every turn, not just 1 damage every turn. Her Feat allows her to cause bleeding immediately and also causes a similar amount of damage on the turn her target comes up.
She does her unarmed strike +1d4 damage on a succesful hit and the target also takes 1d4 damage on his next turn unless he is healed before that.
There are several degrees of bleeding damage, light lacerations causing 1 bleed damage each turn and more severe bleed damage through hemorhaging and internal bleeding causing 1d4 bleed damage each turn. Lyssa's is the latter.

Lyssa Kail |

You could even say i'm doing you a favor, (...)
Yes...and the problem is?
So i've read last night..
No hard feelings, but a little less sarcasm would be nice. There were no evil or mean intentions, just people trying to explain a feat.
My feat's been misunderstood for over half a year now. It seems I've constantly failed to clear up how it works, and I figured I'd try to clear things up. That's really all there was to it.

GM Chyro |

:)
Not surprisingly, there's been threads with far more discussion on it ^^
Like how it's outpowering a ninja & rogue's bleed attack. Poor stealth killers....

Sabel Ea'tari |

I am unable to keep up lately. I am currently in the process of preparing my new house to move and my university keeps asking more and more time. I also find it really hard to follow what is going on in the game. Combined with me still not really feeling Sabel, even after advice from fellow players, I would like to step out. Nothing personal. I really like the characters but it just doesn’t work out for me at the moment.

GM Chyro |

We can never expect circumstances, to some degree.
Good luck with your home and university.

GM Chyro |

Not too long after Sabel said she'd be stepping down, i got a PM from one of the previous applicants, who's seemingly been following your venture since Father Burdock's recruitment.
Thorn the inquisitor.
I'll leave you guys to decide yes or no with a read-to-go, or if you have a preference for a specific type through recruitment.

GM Chyro |

Though this lower level holds a few more fights, i'd like to point out that this floor is the final level of floors before you have 'liberated' this place.
After which it's up to you what you want to do.
-------------------------------------------------
Since nobody, save Elsa, voted for anything in particular, i'll open recruitment again. Sabel, you vote as well of course, somebody has to be proper to fill your shoes. ;)

Father Burdock |

Thorn looks alright, glad someone else is capable of Cure spells

Lyssa Kail |

For the past few months I've been wanting to spend more time on a couple of other hobbies. For that reason I've decided I want to spend my Pathfinder time mainly on PFS and the games I run. Since Eye of Eons is currently re-recruiting, I feel like now's the time to clear some more time in my schedule. After thinking it over for some days I've made the tough decision to withdraw from this game.
I think Thorn should definitely join the game, because he's kept up with the game all this time. This game absolutely deserves such an enthusiastic player! And with Lyssa gone the party could likely use a new melee character.

GM Chyro |

Wow...that's quite unexpected.
Just 3 of the original people left if you do.
I had your personal quest planned out as well, too bad.
PM me on how you want to withdraw IC.
Too bad to see you go.

GM Chyro |

I'll be botting Lyssa & Sabel until you clear this floor.

GM Chyro |

So far, as the perceptive might have noticed, i've not used the flat footed condition in the 1st round against anyone.
Would you prefer i keep it that way, or go onto flat-footed?
Works both ways.

Father Burdock |

Going to Denver Comic Con this weekend. Win't post much if at all until Tuesday.

GM Chyro |

So...aside from an inquisitor, we've got a few choices for the 2nd replacement.
A bard (vincent fleming)
A battle orientated oracle (tharasiph)
A paladin (ash)
What are you going for, 2 votes on the same will do.
I know tharasiph has a decent posting rate, but that's aside of it.

Father Burdock |

My vote is for bard or paladin.
-Posted with Wayfinder

GM Chyro |

Thorn's in, as he's put effort of keeping up with this since the last recruitment for Father Burdock, plus 3 of you had voted favorably for him.
But i rather meant for the second replacement from those three.
Elsa, your thoughts on the three?

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

I don't really know any of the players. However, a paladin might move this group in a generally good direction.

GM Chyro |

Then it's settled, a paladin you shall have.

"Tessa" |

Looking tense, will the sacrifices break the dwarven defense, will Father Burdock stuff the run? Is Elsa ready to cheer? Tune in this sunday for the Dwarven Finale.
(I laughed at the rugby comment.)

GM Chyro |

Who knows, if they whack the leader, they win.
If not, another suicide and something is bound to happen.

GM Chyro |

Yeah...Yog-Sothoth's avatar might have stepped through.
No....on a lvl 3 party that'd be clear TPK.
A crazy coot and the Tyrant were a handful already.

GM Chyro |

No no, not a spawn. Those are a rare breed, literally and figuratively, and damn higher Cr than the party could hope to handle.

GM Chyro |

+1 to what Tessa says.
So you guys just have to decide how you'd like to conclude your business here.
Which is either go away and leave the staff to wrap things up as best they can, or help in the search without risk of a fight and maybe find some goodies while you're at it.

Father Burdock |

I'm currently GM'ing <redacted> module, so I'm getting a kick out of this :)
Perhaps have Lyssa and Sabel finish the task of cleansing out the place... would give them a good reason for leaving the party.
Of course, need more loot. And downtime to make more loots.

GM Chyro |

You're running a module about a cult?
Cult of the Ebon Destroyers?
If you're getting a kick out of beating the cultists in here, i'm glad to hear it.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

Attention all: I am at a conference from today until Sunday. My posting will be limited to those posts I can make in the evening hours from my laptop.
