Name: Kawliga (Pending) "Our lord in silks"
Portfolio: Joy, Sex, Partying
Alignment: Neutral Good
Domains: Luck, Good, Travel, Charm, Liberation, Trickery
Favored Weapon: Longsword (Pending)Our lord in silks is a manifestation of Joy and Procreation. Neither man nor woman the deity of pleasures (generally carnal and material) bends their form at will, based on how they feel at the moment. Followers of Kawliga come from all walks of life, the worshipers commonly offering tidings of wine, smoke, and fatty meats at the altars of the Pleasure God(dess), praying for good fortune in matters of the heart or wallet. A temple of Kawliga is more of a constant party than a house of the holy, with mugs of mead and wine flowing freely the clergy are public servants, bringing joy and love to those in need. While a god of Joy and Celebration, Kawliga also values hard work, and teaches that pleasures are the sweetest when earned properly.
Though Kawliga's dogma seems like all flowers and rainbows, he/she has the capacity to be a very angry and wrathful Lord. Tyranny and domination are the antithesis of his teachings, and so she extends no love towards Conquerors, Murderers, Slavers and Wicked Magicians.
Keep in mind that at the start of Dawn of worlds you are just an idea, sentient life doesn't even exist yet.
Also 6 domains, especially with several awesome ones (and a really good favoured weapon) seems a little much.
Lets keep domains capped at 4, and remember you only really need an idea and alignment for your god at this point.
4 + alignment then

Differences in how this will work from standard Dawn of Worlds are list here. If nothing is stated assume normal rules.
Create race can only be used to create non-humanoid or outsider races (dragons, angels, etc)the exact specifics of your race can be worked out later. Humans will show up a couple of turns into age 1.
Create sub race will grant you the choice of: A, adding up to 2 RP worth of traits from the advanced race guide or B, exchanging up to 4 RP worth of traits to an existing race. Spending an additional 50% of the base cost will grant you one extra point of RP to add or trade. (so for example in Age 1 creating a sub-race with +3 RP will cost 18 points) Note that if races get too far above 10 RP then they will have a lvl adjustment applied to them. Races that have a level adjustment will gain a d8 hit die and 2+Int skills for each level adjustment, low progression in all 3 saves and BAB as a cleric.
Purify will move one step towards good or lawful on one axis
Corrupt will move one step towards chaos or evil on one axis
At the start of each round I will roll a D20 for each Deity that will be the order you act in that turn.
Other Deities (Aka Me) will always go last. In a normal turn 1 other deity will act. I have no pool of points. At the same time I will put up a general description of the previous turn.
If you want to do something and cannot figure out what action it falls under PM me ahead of time and I will determine the cost.
I highly encourage people to name races, events, cities, kingdoms, etc they create.
Questions?

If you want to make player races, take a human and start swapping stuff for abilities of your player race of choice 2-3 turns in age 2 of creating sub-races should be able to get you from human to any other core race (or you could stop part way there) and probably still leave you with points to spare.

Aninga |

If it's not too late, I would propose Aninga, the storm dragon.
CN
Portfolio: storms, weather, seas.
Domains: Catastrophe & Rage (Destruction), Storm (Weather), Lust (Charm), Chaos
Favored Weapon: Naginata
The storm dragon is the embodiment of nature's fury. A remnant of the primordial chaos that refuses to succumb to the ordered world of the new gods, Aninga's power is greatest when the winds howl and black clouds turn noontime to night. Though highly destructive, Aninga is not particularly malicious, and those who stand against the storm and survive are more often the ones who receive his blessing. He also governs the most intense tempestuous passions of the sentient beings, though that aspect of his nature will not be as apparent at the start.

How are we dealing with traits that cost 0 RP or negative RP? For example, switching from human heritage attribute score modifiers to standard attribute score modifiers, or making a slow race?
Using the create subrace power, under the exchanging up to 4 RP worth of abilities. So you change human heritage to standard and do up to 4 RP worth of other trades.

Updated list
Sheher, LG, protector of creativity and invention, master of the inspiring flame
Zanthreair, LN, lord of the night sky, the glory of the dark
Ryazan, NG, the burning light, lord of valour, keeper of justice
Kawliga, NG, Our lord/ lady in silks, god of pleasure
Fenii, NE, goddess of the desert, mistress of destruction
Shylar, N, lord of balance, keeper of the scales of truth
Aninga, CN, the storm dragon, ruler of the waves
That gives us 7 player-deities, recruitment will close when we hit 10 deities or next Friday whichever comes first. We currently have 6 of 9 alignments with a deity.

Drako "The Merciful" |

I wanted to make a LG or LN of peace, water and trade. I also wanted to go with an alignment that wasn't made. But, LE and peace don't work. But, trade could work.
Shelayyen, an aquatic mistress. LE. Trade, water, Island, government control. Can be for pirates who follow their own code to make sure them and their men get their share. Not necessarily the law of the land, though, there too. The race will have some sort of aquatic attributes. But not aquatic creatures.
The bond between community seems to be of the good, but it is at the expense of others. Similar to the real life example of Jamaica never going to be able to get out of debt because of how the American Corporations have taken advantage of their time of need in the 70's. Good for one, terrible for another. I think that falls under evil.
Domains: water, community, nobility, travel, with evil, and law.
Favored weapon: net (also, the rope is for a good hanging)

Shelayyen |

This is the alias for this deity. Previously as Drako.
The Saltwater Sultana. Appearing as a large humanoid, she fancies herself as the queen of trade. She favors anyone who improves their familiar house, achieves high status and trade routes, and above all, looks for the market to be always in their favor.

Totally interested in participating in this. One question, does the Alignment of the tenth deity matter at all, since all nine alignments are already covered?
It will probably tip the balance of how the world will develop toward whatever alignment has 2 gods. Though who knows, other gods may form alliances designed specifically to combat such a threat.

GypsyMischief |

Basically your decision might shape the fate of the game, but no pressure.
So how are we handling the multi-verse? Is the material one place, and then we all exist in the same plane outside of it? Or do we get individual planes of existence? Or...? I'm just askin' because kind of really want a golden palace with fountains of wine...but, you know, it's no big deal.

That seems like a question that we need opinions from most people on. Perhaps right now there might only be 2 planes, the divine and the material. But If someone wanted to invest their power in securing a power base outside of those 2 planes that option can be explored.

Okay, pretty cool idea here. I was thinking of a god of Knowledge and/or Magic. And then I looked at the other gods. I saw the N god of balance/truth. And then I had a thought.
What about a related god that is another side of that coin. There's a difference between truth and knowledge. They overlap, but are not exactly the same thing. And while balance is all well and good, balance itself must be balanced. Things in perpetuity stagnate.
So with that, I present Kelnet, Mistress of Knowledge, Broker of the Gods, and Magus Supreme.
Kelnet
Mistress of Knowledge, Broker of the Gods (Keeper of the Scales of Power), Magus Supreme
N
Domains: Knowledge, Magic, Trickery, Spies
Favored Weapon: ?
What do you all think of this idea?

Dalgar the Great |

So your a God of Balance that Balances out the God of balance? That could be cool.
I'd personally like to focus on the world itself and worry about the multiverse a little later. I figured we would have a material plane and divine plane. Each of us have an equal share of the divine plane in which we can do as we wish and then an eleventh share that is further split up among the minor gods.

Shelayyen |

So, Kelnet will be a female version of Equinox, but a god. Absolutely crazy, with balance.
I like the two planes of existence, similar to the Greek gods. I also like the idea have having some hard to get to place on the material plane, just for me!
But, using their power to create another plane sounds good, too. Like Zeus making the underworld and putting Hades in charge. Except that the underworld is on earth, so, it's not a perfect simile. You get the idea.

Kawliga |

I like the "Mt. Olympus" concept, that's neat. Should we give ourselves any back-story as a god-race? Or are we unrelated sentient manifestations of ideas? I personally think it'd be fun to have a council, in game, because councils are cool. We could sit at a big ol' table with a model of the planet on it as we bicker and argue about our intentions for the our little world. Or we trying to be more mystical and ooky spooky than that?
Just totally spitballing...
