Janna can borrow that dog or cat but she better leave Jerrid's snake alone!
As for the whole conversation thing, he isn't good at it, is he?
By the way, this game is one of the fastest and most consistent I have played in on these boards. Props to everyone - especially Grimmy. Keep it up folks.
Cheers

is it me or what i cannot understand jerrid. it sounded like he said Samduc gave away the amulet?
Also it doesn't help that I screwed myself in the first part. (I think that DMG knows what I am talking about), it just seems that ever since then, things feel different.
Heck I am wondering where we are heading next, I hope we are still looking for the keep/wizard tower.
I think Jerrid just said amulet instead of crystal, simple slip of the tongue/fingers.
I'm not certain about screwing yourself, I know I certainly don't harbor any resentment towards the windy lady.
As far as our next destination, I believe it's the woods. It was Janna herself that believed strongly that the wizard in Lannet's story is in fact Vortigern. We're simply following up on that lead while we make our way to the tower, no?

Must admit I'm losing track of whose where and what is "current" as it were...
Am just having Vhillish hunker at the inn awaiting deployment.
I've hinted at it a couple of times but perhaps I'm off-base; is the fact that Samduc is disguised as a child an open secret? Otherwise if this is not a "in-game" reveal as yet (which I've presumed) then wouldn't the group be rather wary of this kid who talks like feckin Confucius?? (and yes I know we've a drow holy warrior and deep gnome lol ;)
Damien "Wet" Winters
Well considering I managed my perception a while ago it's an open secret to Damien. Just his secret to keep :)
I'm cool with us still being at the Inn but having discovered that the halflings have run off.
Janna - The Storm Maiden
I also would suspect that Janna would know, If he approached her to join as a child then she never would have hired him.
DM Grimmy
Ok, so I have to admit I'm a little unsure of where myself and Vhillish are on the current festivities?
Are we still heading out into the market after the halflings, or would we still be shopping or likely back at the inn? I'm cool with any of them, just a little unsure of where to work from?
Short answer, that is up to you (just make it fit the timeframe and not render other things that have been posted incongruous.)
Really long answer:
Ok basically, the way I would like for this to work is that anything posted in gameplay has actually transpired. My first goal of course is that we have a great game but I have a secondary goal that the gameplay thread will be a coherent (and for the most part, linear) read.
I'll say more about why that's important to me later.
This isn't set in stone, just a goal to shoot for. What this means is, flexi-time only when really needed and retcons only as a last last resort (retcons totally break immersion.) If there's a smoother way to sync things up, we shoot for that everytime.
But with variable posting rates and especially in freeform scenes it's bound to happen. You come visit the thread and you're reading the new posts and there's something you would really like your character to do, but in-game time has surged ahead. Well, I'm not saying your character has been frozen in stasis in the intervening time since you last posted, you are free to inject a description in the past tense of what you were up to, but I would like for everyone to try to do so in a way that is seamless, rather then fracturing the in-game reality into different timelines that we then have to go back and figure out which chain of events really happened.
*whew* I don't know if any of this is making sense to you guys but if you just read the gameplay thread since arriving in Fairhill, it's going just the way I want.

Nope I have no idea what you mean! I guess that's a good thing, right? Seriously everything is fine.
Are you talking about when you PM'd me that the farm fight was too hard, that is ancient history!
Everything is golden.
Vhillish Quarrelwick
Too hard?
Pffft. Piffel and Poppycock! You should have been there when the 33rd stormed the Grind Demon's Gate. Talley Ho!!!!!
Leoven.
And? You say that almost like it's a bad thing :P
Plus we seem to be back together now, all is well and good!
Not my intention. I Just wanted to be sure that I was not missing anything.

I've nothing against the noble "rouge", it was my very first character actually, a Zvirfneblin no less!
Since then though I must admit I've developed a much greater fondness for bards, though usually of the less martially focused variety.
Leoven.
I have a recomendation to the DM.
To make more clear to whon is adreesed a given pst, something like
@ Janna
The farmer...etc
That would hep (at least me) when the party is scattered and the post is not meant for everyone.
Leoven.
Out of combat, rogues should be the most useful. When traps could kill you, They were very important.
I am not particularly old but traps are generally less dangerous in "sntadard" pathfinder than in the old days. But even if you make them deadly then there are a handful of classes that get trapfinding, even more there is a trait that give you trapfinding.
Unfortunately I think Paizo get more interested in their new classes and mechanics and let the poor rogue behind.
But well, balance problems do not appears in mosts games, they only appear the more system mastery the palyers have/actually use.
DM Grimmy
Rappan Athuk is famous for having a TPK trap in the first room.
The Rogue issue fascinates me. It's important to remember some of the people who seem to be "hating" on the rogue actually want the rogue to get more nice things or have his niche protected more. It's important for people who love the rogue to not turn a blind eye and say everything is fine when it's not.
For my part you won't see any crypt-breaker alchemists or sorcerors in my games. Definitely not that trait that gives anyone trap-finding.
But yeah, rogues will always be able to impact the narrative of a campaign through sheer personality in a way that theory-craft can't grasp. I would point to Samduc's stunt with bluffing the imp and swapping out the amulet. Yeah, he burned an action point, yeah another class could have tried it and may have had a similar bonus to the roll, but the fact is that he thought to do it because he was in that mindset.

Ok, so looking at tents out group is going to want 2 large tents most likely, these will run us 60gp and weigh 80lbs.
I'm cool with splitting the cost though if Janna insists on wanting to pay I suggest we use the 49 gold in our group loot towards the tents and she can pay the rest?
Now as to how we carry them, can we split the poles and fabric up to carry split the weight of each one on different people DMG? If so can we split it 4 ways? 10lb each should be doable for most of us without issue.
Getting a pack animal has been mentioned before but I'm hesitant due to the stirges. We'd need some way to protect it at night or it won't last very long...more hassle than it's worth in my opinion.
What do you guys think?
Damien "Wet" Winters
Most of us aren't but most of us are within 10-15lb of the next load category. Even split in half, the 20lb from the tent will put most of us at a medium load.
Though provided it could be dropped quickly, I might just deal with the encumbrance and carry one of the tents myself. Astor could probably take the other, no? Would solve the issue quite nicely.
That does remind me though, Samduc and Vhillish, just a reminder but you're both at a medium load currently. Might want to do something about that. Check your tabs to see by how much.
Leovan, I still haven't updated your recent purchases, as mentioned before they will put you at a heavy load. Are you cool with that or have you come up with a plan to lighten the weight?
As we're about to head out now is the time to sort this stuff out.

I planed to ask somebody else to carry load for me ^^, but I think that with the tents It will not be posible.
