RTA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
With another deafening
KRAK-OOOM!!!!
She fires at another skeleton thats attacking them
Damage: 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
she reloads quickly after the shot

DM Tobi |

Lysassa's magic connects with the power animating the zombie and breaks through. The light in the zombie's eyes vanishes as it slumps to the ground.
As the zombie collapses, Alrea fires another shot that slams into the remaining skeleton breaking bones as it goes. The skeleton falls apart and crumples to the ground.
With the undead defeated you have an opportunity to search the room. The body in the corner is that of a dhampir, his clothing and other equip around gives the assumption that he was a necromancer. A note is found on the dhampir detailing plans to start an army of undead made from the “fish people” who have been frequenting this cave.
Also searching around the cave you find a small amulet and a finely polished pearl, both thing with magic power.
Can I get perception checks from everyone also?

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

DM Tobi |

Lysassa spends a few moments looking at the amulet and the pearl. The amulet she just shakes her head at, but she recognizes the pearl as a Pearl of Power (Lvl 1). Handing the amulet to Hargev, she asks if he could take a look at it. Spellcraft check after using detect magic.
While Lysassa checks the items over, the rest of you search around the room. In the northern section of the cave, you manage to find a concealed passage. Listening at the passage entrance you can just barely make out the fain sounds of combat.

DM Tobi |

Your perception check found the secret passage Hargev.
Lysassa explains that the pearl allows someone to regain a spell that they cast that day so they can cast it again.
The route to the surface leads through a maze of tight passages that include steep ascents and short climbs as they wind from west to east. As you travel, you can hear the sounds of a distant battle echoing through the caves, intermixed with a familiar voice telling inspirational tales of famous Pathfinders and the heroic deeds—the raging fight between Janira and the minotaur.
"As Durvin Gest, exemplar of our Society, saw through the treachery of the fabled Lens of Galundari and chose to hurl the terrible lens down into the never ending Nemesis Well, so you, his noblest heirs, shall stand steadfast against deceit and error, surrendering nothing but your burdens, and falling nowhere but on our foes!"

Aldrea follows. But at a distance. She wants to be able to surprize the would be attackers if she could

DM Tobi |

The tight tunnels here range from 2 to 5 feet in width and average about 9 feet in height. The slick floors and steady incline from west to east make footing in these caves treacherous.
DM roll: 1d6 ⇒ 4
As you move through this area you can feel the inspiration coming from Janira's words as they become clearer. You all gain the effects of her inspire courage ability. So +1 to all attacks and damage.
Oster: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Aldrea: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Lysassa: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
monster: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (18) - 5 = 13
Round 1: Hargev, Oster, Aldrea, Monster, Akela, Lysassa
From where you all are, you do not see anything dangerous. Go ahead and do your actions.

![]() |

Hargev, check side tunnels?
I'll move forward to the tunnel branch (20' of movement). If at that point I can see an enemy within 10' of me, I'll finish my move action and attack it. Otherwise, I'll stay at the junction and ready a standard to attack the first enemy that approaches me.
longsword, PA, Courage: 1d20 + 5 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 - 1 + 1 = 9
1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10 slashing damage.

![]() |

Okay Oster. Come Akela."
Move through the side tunnel all the way to the end, unless something happens and i can't. The entire time Hargev is keeping an eye out for anymore of those creatures.
Preception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

DM Tobi |

As Hargev moves through the tunnels, he comes around the bend and can see a strange sight. The creature looks to be a small blob of transparent something. With in it's body Hargev can see bones of undigested meals and a darker center to the creature.
Hargev shouts a warning just as Oster comes to the same connection of tunnels and sees the creature. With that last of his movement he makes his attack, slicing into the strange creature and cutting away some of the material that makes up it's body.
Hargev, if there's something you want to do with your other action before Oster moves in, let me know.

Slam: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 and Acid: 1d3 ⇒ 2
A tendril of the creature stretches out and tries to slam into Oster, but the blow doesn't make enough of a contact to hurt, though you do notice the tendril leaves a few pits in your armor.
Round 2: Hargev, Oster, Aldrea, Monster(9), Akela, Lysassa

This goop is damaging my armor! Anyone know what goop is?
Untrained Know(whichever) check: 1d20 ⇒ 2 (max 10) Unless Oster has somehow heard of it?
In any case, Oster has a fairly straightforward method of dealing with the unknown.
Emboldened by the apparent success of his previous attack, and the goop's lack of effective retaliation, Oster attacks it again before stepping back into the main passageway.
longsword, TWF, PA, Courage: 1d20 + 5 - 2 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 5 - 2 - 1 + 1 = 10
damage, PA, Courage: 1d8 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 14 slashing damage.
shield bash, TWF, PA, Courage: 1d20 + 5 - 2 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 2 - 1 + 1 = 6
damage, PA, Courage: 1d3 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 6 bludgeoning damage.
Yeech. Given those rolls, maybe Oster wasn't feeling all that emboldened after all.

Aldrea moves into position and levels her weapon at the thing
RTA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
KRAK-OOOOM!
The bullet flies towards its target
BANG!: 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

DM Tobi |

Oster has no idea what this thing is, but it looks like something that a giant might have spat up.
Even with this revelation, Oster sword strike finds its mark biting deep into the creature, even slashing through the strange darker mass in it's center. The shield bash shoves the creature away as it fails a bit, the slime from it's tendrils causing a few stones to melt.
As the creature flails on the ground, the cavern echoes with another of Aldrea's shots. The musket ball slamming into the strange creature, stilling it for good.
With combat dying down, you can still hear Janira's voice echoing through the caves. To the east you can see faint light coming from somewhere.

![]() |

"Well done Oster. I cannot do anything about the shell you have on, but I'm glad id didn't get your flesh. Lead the way."
Hargev will follow behind Oster, and keeps an eye out. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

DM Tobi |

Nope, Janira's voice is coming from the same direction the light is coming from.
After passing through more slick and narrow tunnels, the light of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below. The light illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy.
You emerge from the caverns into a 40-foot clearing at the base of the Kortos Mounts. The light of the full moon above provides dim light over the entire area, bright enough to illuminate even the shaded leaf litter beneath the trees. The trees are only a few decades old and the underbrush beneath them is full, making passing through it difficult.
A 3-foot-diameter tree truck spans the width of the river, creating an impromptu bridge. The trunk looks slippery from the splashing water, making crossing it treacherous.
Nearly 100 feet from the cave’s entrance you spot a familiar form, Janira Gavix. Unfortunately she is locked in combat with her relentless minotaur foe in a clearing on the southern bank of the stream. Even from this distance you can tell that both combatants are exhausted.
"You vile beast! I know not what drives your black heart, but I shall not fail in my duty. I shall see you driven from this forest, back to the hills from whence you came!"
Oster: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Aldrea: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Janira: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Minotaur: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
Combat Order: Janira, Hargev, Aldrea, Akela, Minotaur, Oster, Lysassa.
Janira's bardric performance is no longer going, but you have the effects for 2 rounds.

Double move to cross bridge and to get into firing range
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

DM Tobi |

You see Janira take a step back away from the minotaur before she lashes out with her whip.
Disarm Attempt: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
The whip wraps around the half of the minotaur's weapon, but Janira appears too tired to be able to wrench the weapon from her opponents grip. The minotaur tugs back, pulling Janira's whip from her hands.
Janira looks to the fallen weapon before pulling a small pouch from her belt and readies it.

Hargev casts a spell and places his hands on Akela, "May the wolf spirit watch over you brother"
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Hargev then takes off toward the bridge pointing his spear at the beast.

Akela -the Wolf- |

Akela charges toward the bridge, keeping his eye on Hargev. When Hargev points his spear at the beast, Akela lets out a howl and moves ahead.
Double move
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
but Akela slips on the bridge and falls into the water.

DM Tobi |

Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Okay Akela is in the water. Next round he will have to make a swim check to move or be swept down river.
The minotaur glances up as new opponents come running toward it. It watches a wolf charge across the narrow log, only to slip into the river. With a grunt that could be a laugh it turns back to Janira, taking a step closer and swings it's axe.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 5) + 3 = 13
Janira tries to avoid the blow, but she just seems too exhausted as the axe bites into her. You watch as she falls to the ground, clutching the wound as the minotaur turns to watch the newcomers.
Updated Map
Aldrea, I don't know if that is where you wanted to be. Move yourself if you wanted to be at another spot.

Oster jogs toward the fallen tree, screaming at the minotaur as he does. He's either a better actor than anyone would have guessed, or he's legitimately infuriated by the sight of Janira being cut down. Double move forward

DM Tobi |

Akela Swim: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Splashing through the rough water, Akela makes it to the far side. I'll let Hargev finish the rest of Akela and his own actions.
The minotaur roars as Aldrea's musket ball slams into it's flank. It whirls and stomps it's way over to her. Attempting to hit her within the undergrowth.
Miss <21%: 1d100 ⇒ 48 Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 1) + 3 = 10
The axe comes swinging in hard, Aldrea tries to slip out of the way but the axe strikes her hard.
Oster, Lysassa go ahead and take your turns.
Damage: Minotaur(10), Janira(13), Aldrea(10)

![]() |

We're in round 2 now?
If the minotaur moved, then the map didn't update
Is the log difficult terrain?
Does digging out a potion and drinking it use up my full turn?
Oster shouts to the wounded gunslinger while digging out one of the potions from before.
Aldrea, get back! I bet that monster will fall down if it tries to cross the river.
As Oster drinks the magical liquid, his skin turns brown and becomes thickly knurled with knots and ridges. Barksking potion

DM Tobi |

Yes this is round 2. Last round of Janria's inspire courage.
The minotaur did move, but the map didn't update. I'll try it again. Been having a few computer issues on my side, might have been that.
Yes drawing and drinking a potion would be your full round. Move to draw the potion, standard to drink.
Log requires a acrobatics check to move across without the chance of slipping into the water.

"Come back to this side of the river Aldrea, there is strength in numbers. I can provide some healing if you make it back here."
Lysassa moves closer to the action and then starts to mumble an magical incantation but stops before finishing it.
(Readying Ear Piercing scream for when the minotaur comes into range (25ft) - should be when he tries to cross the log)
Sonic damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 and a DC 16 Fort save for half damage, if the save is failed he's dazed for 1 round.

![]() |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Hargev crosses the river as Akela pulls himself out of the water. They both crouch low, ready to pounce if the beast comes to near.

DM Tobi |

Okay top of the 3rd round. Janira's inspire courage has worn off.
Damage: Minotaur(10), Janira(13), Aldrea(10)
Aldrea, Akela, and Hargev are up again. Hargev and Akela, after you moved up the Minotaur didn't get within your reach before attacking Aldrea.
