The wave of energy washes over the figures and curiously does nothing!

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

The Pharasmin blinks in surprise. Are they undead?!

Know religion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

They seem to be undead - they needed no air to breathe going by their stillness and from their movements but there was no effect - something is not normal about them if they are, indeed, undead.

As the bodies suddenly surge to 'life' and are promptly blasted by a wave of Jaru's holy power, Elidal sheathes her spear and draws her sword yet again as she cautiously moves to intercept the oncoming creatures - though she does not attempt to move into the room or set foot in the water.

Move to sheathe one weapon, move to draw her sword and get into position.

SHEET

Nalun inspires his allies! +2 to most things! Heroism might still be active on Elidal...it lasts 40 Minutes.

Map updated - Emmett and Elidal can directly engage. Elidal has used her actions, Jaru has turned undead, Nalun inspires you, just waiting on Simeon and Emmett

Emmett waits, using the doorframe as a bottleneck, for the 'undeads' to close in, his axe ready to bite at the first one.

Ready attack, with PA, IC, and FE (undead): 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 121d12 + 11 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 2 + 2 = 23

Emmetts swing goes wild.

Simeon Plavini Wizard 5 HP: 28/(32)/[32] AC 16/16/14 Stbl:7/(13) Fort:+2 Ref:+3 Will:+5 Init +3 Perception+1

More constructs ? he wonders, then shrugs and levels his crossbow and fires

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9

Simeons shot misses.

The two zombies move to improve grapple Elidal and Emmett

Secrets of the Grave (Ex) (UM 27):
You gain a +1 bonus on Knowledge (religion) checks made to identify undead creatures and their abilities. You may use mind-affecting spells to affect undead as if they were living creatures, even if they are mindless. Emmett is able to burst free.

Nat20 on other skills like Arcane with untrained with bard bonus would still yield such a result

Nalun believes these are no normal undead, if they are by definition, undead. Given the location could these be some sort of chemical creation?

Will 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

The one attacking Elidal seems shaken and as if they are about to flee

Is everyone up again or are we waiting on Simeon before the bad guys act again?

Simeon Plavini Wizard 5 HP: 28/(32)/[32] AC 16/16/14 Stbl:7/(13) Fort:+2 Ref:+3 Will:+5 Init +3 Perception+1

Still not convinced that they were truely undead, Simeon decides to utilize one of his newly discovered incantations.

Beginning to hum, he traces various shapes of uncertain meaning in the air, his hum growing lower and lower until he points at one of the beings, a grey , luminecent ray shooting forth from his finger tip...

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 2 = 23

Ray of Exhaustion, DC 17 or be exhausted, save = fatigued

Simeons ray hits but does nothing...

The one attacking Elidal flees - giving Elidal an attack of opportunity.

Other creatures fill its place and attacks.

The one who grappled Emmett tries again with improved grapple.

As the creature who initially attacked her turns to flee, Elidal offers a parting shot with her longsword, swiping at the fleeing creature's back.

AoO (Mithral Longsword; Judgement, Inspire Courage): 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 1 + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14

However, the creatures that step up to fill the fleeing one's place deal the inquisitor two vicious blows that leave her bloodied and bruised.

"A little help, please!?" she gasps as she assumes a defensive posture. Her sword, which had been glowing moments before, seems to return to its normal appearance as its wielder's wounds slowly begin to knit...

AoO, then a swift action to change judgement type to Healing; should gain fast healing 2 I believe. Standard action to go total defense; AC should now be 22.

As she is grappled and pulled under the water Elidal struggles fiercely, attempting to break free.

I think that's right, but let me know if I've forgotten something! My characters have generally been lucky enough to not be grappled very often, heh.

Elidal fails to break free - she gets the feeling that normally her efforts would be sufficient but underwater and with the weight of her armor as well as the awkwardness of shield and sword still in hand, her moves are insufficient.
