Emmett frowns as he finds an empty room with an opened trapdoor. It's unlikely they've reacted fast enough to get here so fast... Yet. he thinks, as he scans the room's floor for recent signs of passage.

No signs of recent passage that you can discern.

Emmett signals the others they can move forward. He lets Elidal go first, as she'll likely have an easier time with the ladder.

Before heading down the ladder, Elidal pauses for a moment to peer down and listen for the sounds of anyone or anything moving below.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Confident that the coast is clear for now, she proceeds down the ladder, wondering what she and the others will find within the main building itself...
As Elidal climbs down the ladder another of the winged critters attacks her when her legs clears the ceiling of the next room.

A startled yell of alarm escapes Elidal's lips as yet another of the winged constructs seems to appear out of nowhere, clawing at her legs. Thankfully she manages to squirm out of the way and drops the rest of the way to the ground, having no desire to remain on the ladder and vulnerable.
Though she sees the small figure out of the corner of her eye, she desires to take care of the more immediate threat and sidesteps away from the ladder. Drawing her sword once more, she swings it in a mighty arc at the construct.

Fort (DC 15): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Elidal hisses in pain as the figure's thrown axe buries itself into her shoulder. She feels an odd draining sensation and for a moment, her limbs tremble as a feeling of weakness washes over her. However, she steels herself and the feeling quickly passes.
The homonculus uses a withdraw action to get away from Elidal and flies out of the room.
Nalun (there is a ladder) manages to come down to the point he can get down once Elidal moves.
Party up.
Nalun is now at the bottom of the ladder.

Elidal hustles out of the way as first Nalun and then the others begin making their way down the ladder. "Another one of those creatures! It went out the door!" she calls out.

totally confused here. The map looks like we just went down the ladder into a bedroom. Where is a walkway? may I get a more thorough description, please.
Jaru keeps his eyes on the doorway and readies a bolt for any threat it produces.

Sword and shield still drawn, Elidal cautiously edges out of the room, wary of rushing after the fleeing individual and potentially being caught by surprise.
Just advancing out of the room onto the walkway for the moment.
