Vai smiles at Ephebe "Well I did. I wasn't expecting you to be recovered so quickly though. I guess if you've heard the story of last night you know about me?" Vai sorta fidgets, waiting for Ephebe's reaction.
Just before Ephebe leaves, Vai stops her and stutters: "Um... did.. did you and Krays... y'know... Um.... nevermind." She says, blushing profusely.
"Yes, I know about you." Ephebe gave Vai a quick hug. "And I know what it's like to have someone rearrange your genetic makeup without asking permission. If you ever want to talk about any of it, well, I'm here and happy to give you a listening ear."
Ephebe blushed brilliant red at the implied question. She glanced back at the office, very glad that the door was closed. ::Yes. We, um...did,:: she answers telepathically. ::Not something I want to talk about in earshot of my parents....they don't need details....I don't think my Dad could handle it....let's just say polymorph is a good thing...Sorry! Too much information! Sorry! I'll just shut up now...::
Vai knocks after having recovered herself from the embarrassment of asking Ephebe such a private question, and smiles to see Tamrin. "Hello Professor Sunwake!" she says brightly, "Um... Professors Sunwake!" She adds, seeing Aananda also in the room. When Tamrin thanks her, Vai beams, saying "Well sir, it was what you told me when I first woke up that drove me to it. You told me I had to make my own life now, and I decided I wasn't going to sit around and do nothing when a friend is in danger."
"Good for you, Vai," Aananda said with an encouraging smile. "And I know we're both glad that you and Ephebe have already become friends."
"Now, what is it I can do for you today?"
Vai almost jumps as she hears Ephebe's voice in her head. Weird.
Vai steps forward into the room and closes the door behind her. "Um, I was hoping I could get registered for classes Professor. I keep realizing how much there is to learn. Like what is polymorph, for example."

"Polymorph? That's just a fancy way of referring to shapechanging magic. Kind of like when you change between half-elf and dragon."
The Headmaster's office had a line out the door of teachers with suitcases by their feet and resignation letters in their hands. Ephebe slipped past the line, sticking her tongue out at a portly dwarf who grumbled about her impertinence.
"You're quitting, so I can be impertinent if I like," she said, as she practically skipped into the office interrupting a weeping farewell from the former drama teacher who stomped out in high dudgeon to have her exit scene spoiled. "Hey, Uncle Ryo, do you have a minute? I wouldn't want you to accuse me later of not telling you things," she said with an irrepressible smile.

"Oh.. oh!" Vai says when Aananda explains what polymorph is, and immediately blushes, trying to hide it behind her hair as she moves towards the seat in front of the desk. She's still a little red when she pulls her hair behind her shoulders and sits down, looking expectantly at Aananda.
The large stone door swing open as Gustav approaches and he can see signs of activity inside as students wander aimlessly enjoying their day off. He got a few curious glances as he walked inside, but that was about it.
Gustav starting looking at the walls inside the building, plainly looking for signs, posters, writing, anything that would direct him to the Headmaster's office.
"I'm guessing from that reaction that I definitely don't want to know why you were asking," she said dryly.
"So...class schedule. You're required to take a PE class. You can choose whether you want to take regular or advanced. Advanced PE requires certain waivers. Something about the number of injuries per class period," she said, waving her hand dismissively. "Also since you're a non-native of Agartha, you'll be required to take History of Agartha. Aside from that you can pursue whatever types of studies you would like."

"You're new," the girl said flatly. She was not particularly tall and looked shorter flanked by two massive half-ogres. She absently fingered the hilt of her sword. "And just as obviously lost. You need directions to the Headmaster's office?"
"Hey, Uncle Ryo, do you have a minute? I wouldn't want you to accuse me later of not telling you things," she said with an irrepressible smile.
"For someone who is breaking the monotony of resignations I definitely have a minute. For my niece, I have at least two."
"Um, probably not Professor."
"I don't know how strong my body is... I seem to get much stronger when I... polymorph. I think I should take just the basic PE unless... unless you think I should do Advanced. I mean, if I get injured... there's always healing magic, right?" Vai shifts uncomfortably. She could handle pain. Probably. "I... want to learn how to control my magic. I can already do some after last night, but I don't really know how I'm doing it. Is there a course for that?"
"As long as it doesn't involve your two escorts." Gustav said with an unfriendly smile to the short girl. "Does this place have a plan, or can applicants add 'pathfinder' to their classes?" The black-haired boy held himself with an aura of arrogance, yet was completely unarmed. Dust from the street outside still covered his boots.
"Hey, Uncle Ryo, do you have a minute? I wouldn't want you to accuse me later of not telling you things," she said with an irrepressible smile."For someone who is breaking the monotony of resignations I definitely have a minute. For my niece, I have at least two."
Ephebe laughed and shut the door on the throng outside once Krays was inside.
"Well, given that you're a diviner, you probably already know. I imprinted on Krays last night. We're bonded now. So, he's part of the family now. We just wanted to tell you in person."

"It's alright, Vai. You don't have to push yourself to do something you're uncomfortable with to try and please me. I like you just fine as you are. It sounds like you're not accustomed to strenuous activity. I think in that case basic PE will be fine. You need to train your body in order to help learn how to control yourself, in both forms. But taking on too much at once is just as bad as not training at all."
"As far as learning control....in your case I think we'll need to do a special independent study. I already have one independent study class with another student trying to learn control of his kinetic abilities....I don't think he'd mind if I added another student to that class. And don't worry. He's someone that can be trusted. That will give you a chance to learn to control your form."
"As for the magic, what type of magic are we talking about? There are a lot of possibilities."

Sadie narrowed her eyes. "So you've been here, what two minutes? And already you think you know everything you need to know. Zren and Rikken are too good for arrogant judgmental company like yours. And since you already know everything, you can clearly find your own way to the office," she snapped before turning sharply on her heel and walking away, the half-ogres following after her.

An attractive woman dressed very conservatively with her hair pulled back severely walked down the hallway at a brisk pace carrying a large pile of papers.
"Is there a particular reason you are standing in the middle of the hall?" she asked crisply. "Mr.....hmmm.....are you new? I don't recognize you."
"Well.. Aegy ... Aegyth... he used to say I had inherited some of his magical power... and I feel like there's something there... I just can't seem to do it. I feel like I should be able to though."
"Well, perhaps we could put you into an intro to magic course and see what develops."
"Is there anything else you're interested in? Hobbies or anything?"

Gustav held himself at attention. An elder. "My name is Gustav Stonecutter, from Hard-Holden, in the Da'kami region." he respectively answered the scribe or teacher. "I was told to come here and attend classes." Rather than blow up the mountain again. he thought unnecessarily. "I am looking for the Headmaster."

"Ah, a new student. Well, Mr. Stonecutter, I am Miss Jones and I teach enchantment here at Avalon Academy. If you will follow me I will take you to the Headmaster's office to get registered. Though I should warn you that due to a series of recent mishaps the Headmaster is quite busy. He isn't likely to have more than a minute to speak with you. Professor Sunwake is handling student registrations today."

Miss Jones led the way through the twisting corridors, occasionally stopping to reprimand a student for running in the halls, playing catch in the halls, setting a fellow student on fire -this necessitated a short detour to the infirmary - and other milder acts of mayhem and defiance she found all too common among adolescents.
Finally they made their way to the Headmaster's office, where a long line of teachers were grumbling as they had to wait their turn to resign.
Vai smiles and relaxes a bit "Yes Professor, that would be perfect. How many classes can I take? I think that's... five now, including the independant class."
"Let's see....basic PE, History of Agartha, independent study, intro to magic, and basic mechanics. Yes, you're right. That's five. You can choose to take one more class, or you can opt for study hall if what you have is already too overwhelming."
"Hey miss Jones is that a new student?" Asch asks when he and Amada notice Amada's enchantment teacher.

"Ah. Mr. Redgrave. Good afternoon. Yes, this is Mr. Stonecutter. He has only just arrived at Avalon. He hasn't even had a chance to get into trouble yet. That I know about."
The day is young. Gustav thought rebelliously. He stared silently at the red-and-black-haired older boy dressed in the black sleeveless outfit. The "Redgrave" person's right arm looked strange, covered in some kind of writing.
"Oh!" she said, surprised. "I hadn't even thought about that!"
"Ah, it's been too long since I've done that. Anyway, congratulations again. Do I need to adjust your living arrangements like I have for your brothers and their mates?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'll take that as a yes then." Ryo replies as he waves a hand at a map of the school. "There you go, room 134 is all yours. If anything fell, I apologize."

"Um... if it's not too much trouble... I realize they're probably in higher level classes than me... but if I could be in a class with either Nasima or Ephebe I would like that alot. I... can't trust too many people here, and they are some I know I can. If they're too high though... Nasima keeps mentioning something about an Airplane. I wish I knew more so I could tell you what I want to take." Vai looks a bit downcast, realizing how stupid she sounds.

Ephebe is in the advanced section, but the two sections actually meet in the same practice space, with the beginners on one side of the space and the advanced class on the other. The idea is for the advanced students to help improve their skills by helping to teach the beginners. ....And it looks like both girls are in Mathemagics, so if you have decent math skills you could take that class."

Asch glanced at his darkness infused arm. He'd almost forgotten about the changes he had taken on when he and Amada had ended up in the plane of shadows. "You like the arm?" Asch says as he lifts his right arm up and the marks seem to shift to show themselves off better.
"Well, thank you for the interruption. And don't worry about the deserters, I already know how to handle them. Diviner, remember?" Ryo creates a second door leading to the hall outside the cafeteria and waves them through it, getting ready for the next soon to be ex-teacher.
