"Think no more of it, Keme. That was literally your old life. now, you have your own destiny to forge, unattached to that...creature."

"Yeah. That's little overwhelming...I'm not quite sure where to go from here."

He looked over his shoulder. "Well, it looks like I still have five tails...she may have changed my development to make me a ore suitable candidate, but it seems to be separate from actually being her Champion. Huh. I kind of expected that to be reversed too..."

"Of course you're still the youngest to earn five tails. You're in my direct line, of course."

Keme laughed. "Of course, old man, I should have thought of that myself."

She led the way out of the cafeteria and to the white room.

"I usually try to come early to avoid all these people. Thank you, Ms. Aananda." he replies, expertly following her guidance, not flinching anymore. Such a sign should indicate that he was putting his trust in her that she would not guide him astray. "I did have a tray dumped on me once. That was not enjoyable."

"Thank you," she said, giving Rena a fierce hug.

Once again Asha could feel Rena's powerful strength coiled up in the womanly figure as Rena wrapped both arms and wings around her friend. Rena could definitely back up her claim of guarding her friend with that much power. "You don't have to thank me Asha. Just being your friend is enough thanks."

Now I'm afraid she won't go the the ceremony because i think I made her sad this morning after probably saying something stupid, again.

Lang looks upset at himself as well as embarrassed a little I don't understand and I don't know what to do.

Ephebe sighed. "I wish there were an easier answer for you, Lang, but Ignace... she's made amazing progress in the past few days. She's actually started interacting with the other students. And your encouragement has certainly been a big part of that. But she never forgets that she caused the death of her childhood friends. And she's very emotionally fragile because of that. If you push her, it could undo all of the progress she's made."

"Lang, sometimes the only way to get the girl is to just be her friend for as long as it takes. I can't guarantee that she'll ever feel the same way about you that you feel about her. But what I know of Ignace tells me she isn't ready for those kind of feelings yet. I think the best thing you can do is apologize for what you said and accept that you can only be her friend for now."

I do enjoy being her friend. and I really want to help her. I will just have to accept the fact that just might be all we will ever be. but I will never stop caring about her. I promised to be there if she ever needed me, for anything. You have given me something to think about.

Tryko'Sam walked out of the restroom, having freshened up after his breakdown. The hallways were tending to look the same to him, probably due to their changing qualities.

After a moment of consideration, he touched the arrows and sought out the SIM room he'd been working out of, thankfully that crazy biology studing robot female robot was no where to see since Friday- then again, he wasn't too sure she had been real, truth be told.

Something about the wisdom from the mouth of babes, or whatever the expression was. Nice of that Chinese kid to help out, he'd have to thank him again later, but hanging out with kids and flying owls, didn't sit right.

>> Hopefully Asha and Rena are getting sorted, meeting a few nice new friends and we'll meet up later for a snack or something. Or ... I could get my head blown up- Morbid, ain't we?

With a smirk, he found the room again and slip on inside to try a few things out.

This time when she speaks both Sun and Simba understand it.

well, first of all it is the only willow tree in the garden, second it was the first spot we met Sorun, which was Lang's first real friend here at the school. also It is a very pretty tree and during the summer you can picnic near the base and the branches all hang low like a curtain for privacy if you want that sort of thing.

I also remember it was here that Lang met with Ignace for their first outing together.

A blond boy, apparently human, walks past reading a book about plumbingbe afraid, be very afraid and absently says in draconic,

Spoiler:
"Down the hall, up the stairs, to your left."

He briefly looks up from his book and sizes up the new arrival and grins.

"Oh, this is gonna be fun. See ya round half pint."

GyaAARGH! I've told them--or you, I suppose, since you're likely listening right now--to stop projecting into my mind. It's unsettling. Besides, it's not such rare knowledge.

Actually, this is the first he's heard of dragons founding Agartha. He assumed Krays was referring to kobolds 'founding' Agartha, which, in his kobold-centric view, makes sense.

He clicks his tongue at the blonde human. "Hmm. Well, I actually do have to make sure that exterminator did his job. Demented gnome..." The gamekeeper picks up what looks like a sack full of little octopi and heads off, following the fellow's directions.

No worries, this is why we get this stuff out of the way in the discussion thread.:)

Female Kobold

Actually, when I first wanted to join (and had a better memory of the setting), my concept was a kobold historian. Said historian was good at getting info, but often got key bits wrong. The main bit was that he got kobolds and amethyst dragons mixed up, and was convinced that the 'anti-kobold propaganda' was the reason his version of history wasn't common knowledge.

I like it. Nothing so amusing as a historian who's got his facts wrong. :)

You know, I think everyone's got a good enough idea of what we're aiming for..

And if they don't we can always smite them and find replacements.

'Sima suddenly becomes oddly blurry and all her hair stands up. she has a brief moment to look at Dragonborn, her face a mask of dismayed terror. "Nonononooo! Why did you say the S-word?!"

Her body fades into a grey cloudy mist and grows to three, four, eight, twelve times her normal size. More than that. A horrid skull appears in the middle of this mass and tendrils of cloud that could conceivably be horrid arms or tentacles stretch all around the student lounge, covering everything and everyone in a soaking mist. Electrical sparks fly and bolts of lightning arc from notebook binders and desk chairs, chalk trays and stair rails. Lights blow out and the power surges, then goes out. Then the block goes out, then the grid. Horrid peals of thunder shatter windows and move cars and hansoms and airships and riding beasts and hills.

Khoda is here.

"SMITE!

SMITE!
SMITE!
HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!

With each 'smite' something is struck by billions of volts of electricity courtesy a horrid shaft of blue-white lightning: a tree, a car, a bookshelf, the gymnasium. The tang of ionized air fills everyone's nostrils.

"TTTRREMMMMMBBLLLLLLLE!!!"

His presence having been made known, The Lightning God recedes to his natural plane, withdrawing tendril and cloud and lightning, the thunder of his cruel laugh echoing over the landscape and away into the abyss...

Kamenwati looks up at the storm with a growing mix of excitement and worry, black lightning dancing around his fingertips

...leaving a now soaking-wet and unconscious Nasima in his place, crumpled on the floor. It is the only time her hair does not move, and the shadows on her skin are still.

Then her skin moves again, then her hair stirs, then she comes to with a wet gasp. There is a look of knowing horror on her face as she surveys the wreckage Khoda wrought. She looks at Ephebe, Kamenwati and Krays, then lets out a choked sob and runs out of the room, her sopping-wet shoes making sad squishing noises as she darts down the hall to the girls' room, bawling her eyes out in terror and embarrassment and exultant ecstasy.

Something falls down the stairs. It looks like an empty sack. The sack is followed by Vakkler. His crossbow is already drawn. "What the--oh, for the love of--" He puts the crossbow away, pausing a moment to catch his breath. He sighs. "This mess would have caused the janitor to quit, if he hadn't just been eaten.

"By the way, I can safely say that although the previous exterminator did not get the job done. I did. And I doubt anybody will even notice the burn marks."

He pulls his crossbow back out. "Forgot to unload it...." he mutters. "So, has someone had a temper tantrum? Looks like a storm's been brewing."

Marra opens her eyes and yawns as the chaos dies down and Sima runs off, she takes a quick look around a bit confused as to what everyone is talking about and why her 'skin' feels tingly. "Did I miss something?" She asks as she finally beings to move about showing off that she is not in fact a statue.

(( Oh dear... I just realized that Marra is a living lightning rod, this is going to be quite amusing xD.))

Ah, that's more or less what I figured. I'm assuming his actual race is concealed from most? Because if Vakkler knew Krays was a necromancer, he'd have a rather different attitude towards him....

Oh no Krays is definately a kobold, with markings heavily favoring a black dragon. His doesn't carry himself as a necromancer, but either he is (after seeing H'Tor) or someone else has provided the companion...

H'Tor cannot bypass close scrutiny, but wears a heavy hooded cloak to try to blend in as much as he can. He appears to just be a beefed up medium sized kobold skeleton. When he turns to look, you can clearly see two firepoint eyes staring out of the darkness of the hood...

Yeah, I was referring to the latter.

ok yeah, sorry. Should have been more descriptive.

I'm sure the headmaster(s) are aware of his abilities, and H'Tor's true nature. Krays doesn't know who sponsored him to this school, or how he got there, exactly. So "who knows what or why" is unknown to him, atm. He just knows it's in his best interest to benefit from the knowledge this place has to offer.

:: Squeek squee squeeeek :: squeek squee squee-eek ::

Odd rhythmic squeaking comes from outside the room. It is preceded through the doorway by a relatively thin and decidedly middle-aged gentleman wearing a frown, rolled trousers held up by suspenders, and a work shirt that is possibly the drabbest shade of grey ever created. A small name-tag is pinned to the shirt; it's message is hand-written in a spidery text: Mr. Sinh, MCA

:: Squeek squee squeeeek :: squeek squee squee-eek ::

In one hand, the old gent bears (with quiet competence) something that looks to be a stiff-bristled mop. His other hand pulls a bright red bandana from a back pocket. He proceeds to dust items in odd ways according to some obscure custodial logic.

:: Squeek squee squeeeek :: squeek squee squee ::

The heretofore unseen 'squeaker' makes its appearance - a battered and stained metal washpail on wheels. It stops in the doorway, then pivots and enters the room, stopping close to the janitor.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Okay, I love the detail of the mop bucket following him. Very cool. :)

It looks like most people have their concept done or almost done. Weekends tend to be a bit scattered for me, but I think we can get the main thread started on Monday. Anyone who's not quite ready by then can just go ahead and jump in whenever they are ready. Either as a late arrival or they've been there all along and just hadn't interacted with the other PCs yet. It's a big school after all. Can't meet everyone right away. :)

Male Dhampir Champion of Darkness, Order of the Gunslinger initiate

Me and Cyra are in orlando at the moment, so we probably won't be ready till monday.

With a final swipe of his red bandana across the tentacled bust of a Mind Flayer, Mr. Sinh casts a professional eye around the room for more items in need of dusting. His eyes light on the statuesque and statue-like Marra. "I don't suppose you'll be needin' a dusting will you, Miss?"

Vakkler - is that sack empty or in need of clean-up? :)

It's empty. Vakkler hasn't bothered to pick it up, seeing it as a bit inconsequential (considering the damage the elemental did).

Cool. From the way you kicked it down the stairs I wasn't sure if something dead was stuffed inside it.

Marra lets out a gravely chuckle as she turns to face Mr.Sinh "No thank you." she says finding it a bit amusing that the first real contact she has had here is with presumably a janitor of some sort if his request was any indication. Spotting the squeaky little bucket Marra tilts her head a bit before kneeling down next to it regarding it with a look of interest. "This is an interesting little thing. It moves on it's own. Does it only follow you?" Marra asks prodding the bucket once to see what sort of reaction she can get out of it.

Sinh scratches his head at Marra's question, "Well, Miss, it doesn't exactly move on its own. That is to say, the magic isn't in it, if you follow me. The pail is just a pail. I've just got a friend pushin' it." He seems frustrated by his poor explanation.

"Oy! Little Sinh, please lean Betsy against that wall." After a moment, Sinh lets his mop go and it float/bounces slowly over to a wall where it comes to a rest. "See, Miss, now he's over there. He's a capable fellow. I could ask him to push the pail around after you, carry books, or whatnot. He can do a bit more than moving the pail."

Female Ironbound "Earthbender"

Marra looks back up at Mr.Sinh with a look of mild confusion as he explains to her that the bucket it not propelling itself, as he has whatever was propelling the bucket move the mop she seems to gain some sort of understanding "So... you have an invisible companion then? That is interesting in of itself though I am a bit saddened that the bucket is not magic itself. If I was right and you do have an invisible companion is it always as such?" she asks as she takes a long look at the area around the mop trying to spot whatever moved it.

Sinh seems gratified and surprised by her interest. He calls to his invisible companion to give her a better look. "Little Sinh, please bring Betsy over here."

The mop is again lifted by unseen hands and brought over towards Marra and Sinh. "I call him a 'him' but really he's just a spell - not a real person or anything like that." He concludes awkwardly.

Bluff 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Sense Motive DC:11:
Sinh is slightly embarrassed because his explanation suggests that he anthropomorphizes the spell because he doesn't have a lot of friends.

Marra sees nothing of the creature/force moving the mop, it seems entirely invisible.

Female Ironbound "Earthbender"

1d20 ⇒ 15

Marra tilts her head at Sinh a bit as she listens to him she then gives him a grin before looking back to the mop as it is brought back over by whatever spell Sinh is using. "Magic has never been one of my strong areas, I believe my abilities are perhaps tied to some mystic force but I suppose learning more about them is why I am here, perhaps you could tell me a bit more of your magical abilities or perhaps display more of your abilities? I enjoy watching people who can preform magic at work." she says as she attempts to poke at whatever force is moving the mop.

Sinh shuffles uncomfortably under her gaze. "I just dabble a little with magic, Miss... to help out a bit at work, see? You'd be surprised how often the sorcerous and janitorial arts complement each other. Still..." he frowns, deep in thought. "I might remember a little spell that is maybe magicky enough to interest you. It isn't custodial magic but I don't really have much to clean here so..."

Mr. Sinh weaves a spell. His body shrinks to 4' tall, his features become more coarse and angular as his skin turns to cracked grey granite and his eyes become bright, flinty, gemstones. He appears to be a small earth elemental.

He looks up at Marra, who now dwarfs him even more than before, "Sometimes, it's safer to clean really big messes with tougher skin."
