Rena had giggled at Dom's joke and had been about to reply when the intercom system had crackled to life with Aananda's announcement about an intruder in the school. Instead Rena's wings spread wide and her stance dropped instinctively, apparently ready for combat instantly, scanning the area around them. Dom gets the sense that the young angelic girl didn't need weapons to deal real damage. "Dom, do you know where we can hide?" her crouched battle-stance didn't help to hide her figure at all, and would've been very arousing in perhaps different circumstances - after all, survival first.
Upon the announcement, Midori immediately dropped the sewing and her weapons were out, taking a defensive position near Sara-rin and Cariban-san. She was watching the door intently. "Hide, Sara-rin. I'll fight this person if they come here." Midori was tense and focused. She had spent all of her psycic energy earlier to help Hew-kun get better, so those powers couldn't help her now.
Chara, Sun and Dara (Settro too?) do eventually make it to the sewing room, and Midori is poised, and as soon as the door opens she almost launches a full barrage into the group coming to hide before she realizes who it is that have come to them. Shortly after Ephebe's report on the identity of their attacker, alarms begin to go off in Aananda's headband - intruder alarm in her own personal laboratory. One by one her systems are dying - either her consoles are being overloaded and destroyed, or the school's security system is being hacked. Either way, it is not good.
Repparyn has made his way to the now-shattered infirmary, peering in at the devastation, with a somewhat shocked look on his face. Not immediately regonizing anyone present, instead Repp turns and places a hand on the wall, wanting to ensure his friends are safe - first, he checks Ginni, and heads in that direction.
Sun moves to the corner hoping Midori and Settro's strength are sufficient.
I wish Lang was here he says not wanting anything bad to happen to him or his friends. Sun does his best to protect Sara, dara, and Chara.
@Everyone in the School:
The intercom once again crackles to life, and it is not Aananda's voice this time. It is not that of the older-Vai's either. It is an unfamiliar male voice to most of the students - some may recognize it however. It is Tamrin's voice.
Whoever is on the comm is attempting to simulate the voice of another, that much is obvious.
"Now you see this school for what it really is: not a place of hope and acceptance. But a place full of violence, deception, and death. It can never help you to be better. You are already great, and you do not need this school's supposed "teaching". Be yourselves, and you can accomplish anything." And the intercom clicks off once again.
"They won't be in danger if they get in the corner to. I can put up Force fields. Now, please, we don't have time for more questions."
Tami screams as Vai bites down on her.
"Sorry, Vai," Raelle says, as black energy seems to coalesce around her hand before shooting off at Vai.
"Don't listen to the intercom. I don't know who that is, but they are full of ********. This place is safe, usually. And i can raise every person here, no problem."
"Get those vials out of the infirmary, they have the sorted ashes of the deceased to be used for resurrection spells later," Aananda ordered Nala when she offers to help.
And then everything got so much worse.
"Security code Omega!" she said, hitting buttons frantically on her wristband. As she speaks every piece of equipment in her lab goes dead as she reroutes all the systems through her portable systems, finally able to finish locking Vai out of what systems she had left since it was going to take previous time they didn't have to reboot all of her security functions.
The intercom crackles to life once more: "The school is still on lockdown. Unfortunately the intruder was able to hack into the comm system since they previously had clearance. Please stay put as we continue to track this person."
Midori looks as though she's about to argue further, but then the intercom's strange voice with it's message unnerves her. She quickly does as Settro says, though her weapons do not go away, and stay drawn.
Keme teleports to where Ephebe is.
