Anyways, if you're at the school already then you're more likely to interact with other folks besides them. Basically this scene got totally confusing and I honestly have no idea where you are geographically speaking. The only thing I know right now is that the fire was put out.Rainbow is sticking his nose in the air In snooty frustration
Out of character I'm waiting on the two teachers that I out of character have been told are on their way to investigate the cause of the fire
In character he's pouting for a few minutes edited he stalks over to the school, and try to make his way in, despite being huge size category, and/or demanding that the healers and/or leaders
If it comes to that I don't expect that to be well received
.
he's within sight Of the school but barely
And the fire is in the process of being put out, but is probably not out yet, the fire grew to a fairly large size, and rain is what's being used to put it outIt shouldn't take much longer than a few minutes to go out though

Ok, I'm going to Post some new actions for Dave, and I recognize that they will likely not be effective at doing much if any direct damage to you. They're more to punctuate the taunts he'll be spewing
Enrage you enough to convince you to show yourself.

@Krys: take 1d4+1 pun damage.
@nala: the advisor thing is new info for me, would Zix be Marcel's advisor?

The advisor thing has been mentioned a few times before. Basically if an individual teacher has spent time working on a particular student's problem then they get enetered into the system as that student's advisor. This just means they get called whenever that student causes trouble/ needs help because they already know about the problem. So for example, Miss Jones is Dave's advisor because she helped him deal with his problem with the runaway psychic powers. And yes, Zix would be listed as Marcel's advisor.

Destiny might or might not.
I figure if champions are immune to the effects of other champion powers that effect them directly but don't nullify other champion powers in their area, to include self buffs, then it's likely that patrons work the same way and the other patrons and possibly the champions, would be holes in destiny's story.
That and sometimes destiny is wrong, as shown when you predecicted who the champion of freedom would be and he left and ascended to another plane of consciousness and/or died

Destiny, as a rule, is never 'wrong'.
It's mere mortal interpretation that tends to upset folk-- expectations and all.
Everyone has a Destiny. There's nothing saying it HAS to be fulfilled, or not. That's something different. I believe it's called choosing that Destiny, or avoiding it, as best you can.
The stuff of big stories all over.
Just look at the HBO Game of Thrones. You could say that ALL those characters have Destinies, and we're just watching them come to pass. Sometimes surprising, sometimes not.

It's my humble opinion that too many people fixate on 'right' and 'wrong' in their lives.
There's so much possible with simply, "it is."
Food for thought.
Which is awesome real life advice.
TERRIBLE RP advice for a DRAMA filled and focused game like Avalon. LOL.

Reading it is a lil confusing. I can't imagine trying to write it.
They both have that annoying habit that really smart people sometimes have of jumping straight to the end of something without bothering to stop at the points leading up to it. Which means that sometimes they're finishing each other's sentences and other times they have no idea what the other one is even talking about. Keeping track of which one knows what is....challenging. :)

Little bit of column A, little bit of column B. I already had plans to upgrade in the near future and the death of the old PC hastened those plans. XD
I'd forgotten how fun putting together a box can be.
Though, considering my house is like 30 degrees right now, I kinda felt like I needed one of those nurses with the cloth to remove sweat from your forehead.
I needed Wash.

I feel ya. My venerable (Read: 7-year old +) laptop is close to doing the same thing. I can't complain though - it's run like a champ for most of the time I've had it.
Now if I could just afford what I want versus not wanting what I can afford right now... ;)

RE: Destiny.
Another thing that adds a layer of complexity to the whole destony issue where Avalon is concerned is the fact that we have divergent time lines.
Like, just as example, when I first conceived Darth Vai, the main difference I conceived between her time line and the primary time line was that Nasima didn't return in time for the demon invasion. Thus, Vai never met Nasima, and instead it was Jaiye and Ssrena that found Vai during her initial forced transformation, and blackmailed her into helping them. When Aegythrax came back for her, she wasn't close enough to anyone for them to notice she'd been replaced by a simulacrum, and so she was never rescued from Aegythrax's care.
But it all came down to the fact that Vai never met Nasima.
I'll put some posts out at work to get things going again, and more later today (new computer yay!)
| FireclawDrake |
Lol. Yes, I suppose that would have been handy. :D
Hopefully the new computer is awesome.
And I'm glad the weather is more temperate here. At 30 degrees Celsius I'm basically a useless puddle. I do not handle heat well. :)
It got all cloudy yesterday and looked like rain and I was like "Yes this should cool things down nicely."
Nope, was still just as hot, except it got all humid and gross.
Rain is supposed to be cool, not lukewarm. :(
New compy is lovely. First time I've had an SSD and by the gods is it nice!

What I don't understand is why we need destiny when knowledge exists, who knows what will happen in every single timeline with perfect accuracy.
You're getting Knowledge and Time confused there. Knowledge knows what is and what was. It's pretty easy to extrapolate what will be from that, but it's not the same thing as knowing it for sure. Time is the only one who can actually see into the future because he exists there as well as the present and the past and isn't bound by linear notions of his existence. (Wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff) But as Ephebe has noted in the past, Time sees all the futures and sorting out any one future and connecting it to a particular present is....well, it's faster to just wait and see what happens.
Destiny is about equipping particular people to be ready to act at the pivotal moments when timelines split.edited for spelling error

The Doctor was Destiny's Champion once before they found out there were ways to get more regenerations and he was disqualified for living forever...

Speaking of, what happens if you become a champion and then through science/magic/Monk-of-4-Winds-lvl-20 you then become immortal? Do you lose your powers or does everybody just get mad?

Gah! I typed wibbly, I swear. Bloody stupid autocorrect. :/
And as Lysander said, if you become immortal you lose your champion status.

Or constantly reincarnating the same Champion over and over...and over...and over...

Would developing a spell to de-age yourself a few decades count as gaining immortality?
Has tybs met any of the other champions yet?
Technically no, you're still mortal. But try casting it a few times and you risk becoming a target. Then again, everybody cheats, so....
And I don't hink Tybs has met any of the other Champions yet.

He met Fei and Vai Prime before she died. Not sure if anybody else was along with them though....

What ever happened to the outfit Tybs made for Anahita? That might be around somewhere.
-------
I think Tybs might've seen Vai briefly after being champion-d, but I'm not sure. I know he did when Light was torturing her, but I don't know about auras and unconciousness.
I can't remember if he saw Fei pre or post championship.

What's the reason for knowing? :)
| Damiani |
Pretty sure that outfit is gone, for reasons.
A list if it helps provided:
Truth be told, I didn't add it to her inventory, so it's gone. Most likely the top reason due to recent events.
