With Melody back in the SIM room (if I read the posts correctly), the only way she's going to hear anything else about this would be through Rosa. I'm not aware of any other personal connection than that, since Vai is already at the blast site.

My guess? That kind of inter-Champion meddling is frowned upon by the various aspects. They themselves don't seem to get along all that well to begin with, and if that was allowed, our predecessor Champions would have all been brought back rather than replaced by us.
Fei's....let's just call it 'resiliency' is the only reason Valēre isn't going to move on and try to pick another Champion (assuming this whole plan works, of course)

That depends on how much techy/genetic knowledge she has. And different perspectives always make for good dialogue - so we just find a believable way to get her in this (if you want to, of course).

Hmmm. Fei's 'pieces' are on the 'individual cell' scale - so I'm not sure on that. It would be a very diffuse scent, essentially all around the crater I would think.
Also, has Tybalt been in any proximity to Fei before? I ask because he may get a scent, but not be able to identify who it is just yet.

Maybe passed in the cafe. And if its everywhere it might be easier. Smell is microscopic pieces of the object going into your nose. It may actually be the only thing he can smell.

That's fine - then he'd know it was a student at least, and the fact that it's everywhere doesn't bode well for a body recovery... :(

Yes, I am at work as well, so I echo Ace. Take it one round of actions at a time please. Everyone should get a turn (There are 5 of us here, and 5 seperate players).
If it will help since we've got so many involved, I can try to make a summation post of everyone's initial findings (now that everyone is poking around), and then put things on hold for a bit so the RL stuff can be taken care of and everyone can formulate responses for later.
Would that work or just confuse things even more than I already have? ;)

Well, Fei was trying for a spot without too much wildlife as well as no civilization. Since that's still about a mile and a half away, it's possible that the crater could be seen from a high point like the top of the rise or maybe the roof of the school. There may be a little bit of particulate debris still coming down from the sky in that area.
Of course, there are probably plenty of students talking about all the dragons that just took to the air and went in various directions as well. As the one group came back and is in the Cafeteria, that just leaves the other group folks are talking about and still haven't seen return... ;)
Time and Death go really well together though... as do Light and Courage(at least, in the traditional fantasy sense the two are closely linked).
