Okay - I just checked in for a little night time reading, and saw all of this. I got Ace's post and replied to it. I'm sorry things got so muddled - I was just trying to give all involved something meaningful to contribute.
Roel's got the right idea in gathering the nanites. He just needs a way to get them together faster. With his hyper-acute blindsight, he still has the best shot of 'perceiving' the nanites and homing in on them.
My original idea was for Ace to help Roel to succeed in gathering the nanites quickly - he would manifest a new ability that would (briefly) 'supercharge' Roel's spell-like ability (either Prestidigitation or Make Whole) to gather all the nanites at the site in just a few minutes instead of the hours or days it might normally take.
I think for the sake of everybody's sanity, we should still go withithat. It keeps both characters believably involved, and moves the story along until I can hammer out another ingame post in the morning.

Well, if Roel has left, then I think Vai can prossibly pinpoint the nanites as well with her Champion abilites, so long as the nanites are transmitting data to Aananda. (she could zero in on the EM waves they are projecting)
Up to Lyn/Dalesman. Vai doesn't have the senses to detect the nanites without her Champion abilities.
And now I get to say, Vai, slow down...no skipping ahead. People are asleep, offline, etc. And folks arrive during that couple of minutes one of whom is controlled by you, so you should definitely know better. :P

Ice - while I don't exactly feel great with how things went down last night, I respect your desire to back out of this, and we're just going to move on.
There will be other opportunities for Roel to interact with the group that will make better contextual sense for him. But I need to take care of all the other players who were kind enough to want to come into Fei's side story and participate. I need to let them do so, and then be able to move on to their own story arcs and not sit here waiting for this to move forward.
This is now water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned - no hard feelings from me, and hopefully you feel the same. Stuff happens, man. No big deal.

I did see that, and it syncs up nicely with what I was trying to do. However, I will throw one wrench in the works, but for a (hopefully) good reason.
Fei's nanosuit did capture samples from his brain, but not all of those nanites survived the explosion. Very baseline alpha wave emmissions will be noticed coming from certain nanites if Melody scans for them. If they can be isolated from the others, you can find out roughly how much of Fei's mind you have to reassemble. (I will go ahead and tell you, it will only be about 38%...) Between Vai and Tybalt's ideas, they should be able to gather the nanites for you.
This is where Ace comes in. While Melody is working with those nanites, she is going to think that there's not enough there to reconstitute Fei's consciousness (as she already mentioned in-game). Ace will hear this, and something unusual will happen - more nanites will start showing up (from deep in the debris of the crater). This will be due to an ability that he and Lynora have been working on (and has been alluded to a few times already).
Once that is done, Johnny will have everything he needs to use the Bio Mass to put Fei back together again.

Refresh my memory on how Tybs was going to help gather the nanites. I'm having a blonde moment here - not enough caffeine yet (^-^)
Using I guess Vai's ability we get just enough together to get them so Aanda can cut the user restriction and then Mel or Johnny writes a program to spread through the nanites and they will gather the other ones. Once that happens we realize we only have so many and Ace does his thing.
Tyb doesn't really do much himself but he fits the pieces together. He is high wisdom few knowledge ranks. He doesn't know about lots of stuff but he is quick to pick stuff up.
I'm okay with that if everyone else is (Aananda's feedback on her nanites being a key opinion, of course), and if you feel that gives you a satisfying way to help out.
(I know that's in Tyb's nature, but I want you to be okay with Tyb's part in the storyline as well).
Its cool. Its in character for him to want to end this as quickly. If it helps he can use prestidigitation at will if that can't work.
Also... Lyn how would Metalbending and nanites work? Cause Ardiente and Raelle will be on the scene in a few minutes.

Cool that works for Johnny, now the get collect is down to others and Mel can say to few etc. Johnny will be Auto'ed form here on in Dales could you do that, I have meal and sleep. etc.
Johnny will pop what we get in the bio mass, want a redesign let me know, have some great body art stuff.
