OK I have an idea. How bout I just suggest an order of things? I don't have anything much to do really so I can kind of take on the leadership role. Questions, comments, grievances, suggestions, agreements?
Well, ace had better keep roel very busy, or he will wander off. No compassion. He isn't mentally human, at least, not mostly. He may become more so later, but right now, he is an ooze. He doesn't understand. He thinks rather like an ooze, really.
Tybs, roel won't listen. Well, he will, but he won't care.
The problem with involving everyone is that if one is removed, all falls apart. No charecter can act different then how the person planning the event planned, or they ruin the plot.

From what I can tell, he is central to the revival. It could take ages to get him to cooperate. By that time, fei would have probably blown away.

Mel has her own answers to the problem but they are only theories and never been tried. but overall
Mel is friends with Vai and works with Rosa, never met Roel and only met Ace in passing. and has no idea who Fei is.
she probably, other than the Timey wimey stuff, has no clue about how she can help beyond what she has already done. and her theories which do not involve magic.
now mel's theory actually involves Roel alot being a living ooze. but she has not shared her theory yet since she still needs to understand the situation much better.
Yet again, roel might simply not help. He doesn't feel much compassion at all.
If i had to say, I'd say he is mentally about 90% ooze.

The key for getting his help is to allow him to feel compassion or sorrow or anything like that. He would gladly help if he could recognize how much pain this puts you in. But his being immune to mind-altering magic makes this very hard. 10% human. Give it a shot.

thinking things over Johnny and Mel can recreate the body and possibly some of the memories / personality. but there would be so much that would be missing. they can't replicate his skills and abilities, they cant replicate Fei feelings and emotions and attitudes to match exactly.

mel doesn't care about immunity to mind effecting magic, she doen't use magic. its really a process of communication more than anything.

Actually when I made Treisdan I thought I had a power that allowed me to treat all my targets as humans...but it worked differently than I thought, so that's why I had to rebuild him...

No, Ace doesn't have some cool class ability he can replicate that can help. His knowledge of technology, while greater than your classic fantasy PC, is limited more or less to what's in Eberron.

Look, Ice, the scene won't be ruined if Roel leaves. There's a couple of different ways to resolve this, if you feel that its best for him, character-wise to take off, for whichever reason works for ya.
I've already sent a PM to Dalesman, so why don't we all just hold off? Its gonna suck, cuz I believe it won't be until tomorrow morning that he'll be back, but its the price one pays for being in a scene with a PC/GM who doesn't have steady access to the game.
