With the declaration of the new PFAP, Carrion Crown, a new troupe of AP naming has now become clear to me. I shall henceforth sit tight on the edge of my chair, awaiting the unavoidable arrival of AP 8, Beholders' Binoculars, and AP 9, Ropers' Revenge. Ultimately, AP 10 will probably be Paizo Publishing.
Seriously though, is the name thing on purpose or just a really amusing coincidence?

It is called (Germanic) alliteration, it works exceptionally well in poetry and speeches, so probably also in names for APs.

It was and still is overly abused by the Comics industry too.

Wouldn't it be a monocular than?

The Beholder* uses its telekinesis to hold a coupe of pairs of binoculars up so that its eyestalks can use them.
The disintegrate eyestak is on the wrong side of the head, and keeps tying to peer around the others, angling for a good look.
In desperation, the erreant eye-stalk then activates, blasting off a good-sized chunk of the Beholder's skull to get a better view of whatever the creature is finding interesting.
The Beholder is intellectual property of Wizards of the Coast, and is not open content. Any AP calling itself Beholder's Binoculars would theefore have to refer to the simple act of looking at something, reather than the floaty ocular orb monster.
