Mavyn
|
Mavyn is curious about the old man's response. "So why do you come here if it is a shrine to a human god? How did it come to be sacred to your people? Who else comes in here? Do you ever see humans here?"
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
The gillman carefully reads Mavyn's lips, then nods. "This site is sacred to my people," he says, looking at all of you. "Our seers and oracles come to listen to the pure waters of the spring here and receive visions. It was once sacred to Aroden, your dead human god--did you see the carvings in the antechamber? They depict stories he is said to have told. But they are worn by time now, despite not being exposed to the weather, and soon I imagine the influence of that deity will have faded completely."
He hesitates slightly, then adds, "You are not the only interlopers in these caves--other creatures have begun to make incursions into the side caverns, so if you would view them you will have to be wary. My people have been careful to avoid drawing their notice on our pilgrimages."
Roldala Chainbiter
|
Not my god! Roldala grumbles to herself as the gillman discusses Aroden.
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
What kind of interlopers? More minotaurs?
Lyra Cole
|
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Lyra, unaware that the Gillman is deaf, curiously watches the conversation silently from the back.
Goldenshrike
|
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Noticing that the gillman is deaf, Goldenshrike attempts to mime the various questions that the others convey with exaggerated motions, such as pretending to stomp about as a minotaur.
Orgrim Lightbringer
|
sense motive: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15
Orgrim notices that the gillman is deaf, but is more than capable of reading Mavyn's lips A most useful skill... He leans over to Goldenshrike "I dont think there is a need for that...it looks like he can read lips...although that might be abit harder with you I guess"
Orgrim decides not to argue with the gillman when he generalises on the worship of Aroden. Upon hearing that there are other interlopers in the caves, Orgrim nods and faces the gillman to speak "Fear not good sir. We shall help in cleansing this cave of the interlopers you speak to ensure the safety of future pilgrims"
Mavyn
|
sense motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Mavyn nods in thanks to the elderly gillman and stops to take some notes about the conversation, as well as the murals they had seen.

The Gillman states As I stated earlier, these caves are sacred to m people. I would mention though, I have not ventured further down these tunnels. Strange noises and a foul stench come from those tunnels. As such, I can share no knowledge of what lies beyond. Do you think that you could investigate it and clear out whatever it might be, if it is harmful?"
Welby Duckfriend Goodbarrel
|
"Yes, I am ready to continue and we will clear what else might be here," Welby says, thinking they better leave before Drake stuffs himself too full of frogs. He makes mental notes about what he's seen in the cave so far.
Goldenshrike
|
Goldenshrike continues miming as she talks, worried that the gillman won't be able to read her lips as her companion suggested (seeing as she doesn't have any).
"Goldenshrike shall dutifully venture forth to discover what fiends may hide deeper within the caves."
Lyra Cole
|
"I'm up for it!" Lyra says rather enthusiastically "Fiends or not, I'm always down for some more adventure. Who knows what ancient knowledge we could find?"
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
As you leave the gillman and proceed into the caverns you come across a larger chamber. Out of the darkness you can hear the moaning of creatures as the moaning and movement of creatures, heavily, moves closer, Also there are other sounds as if bones were moving towards you,

Orgrim upon seeing the undead draws his javelin and turns to the others "Let them come to us. They will be forced to come one at a time and we should be able to take them down more easily"
He then throws a javelin at the zombie that he has clear line of sight of while yelling "Ragathiel return you to your eternal sleep !"

You didn't roll init for me :(
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Goldenshrike dashes into the front of the melee, pecking at the first skeleton she comes to.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Here's a link to the PRD on natural attacks. As you can see, bite is listed as being all three types of damage

I am looking to see if there are other rulings/errata on it. I am quite aware that this is PFS and that we have to follow the rules. I am looking for clarification on the rule or would that not be what I should do if I have a question?
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Ogrim, you hit but you can tell that the flesh is much tougher and the javelin did not penetrate as deep as it should have
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Skeleton #1 and #2 will attack the tengu since there is no one else for them to attack. They attack with their claws.

1d29 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Confirm

Mavyn calls, "Fire in the hole!" and lobs a bomb right into the center of the undead.
Aiming at the square in the center of the two zombies and the further skeleton, where it will splash all three.
thrown attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
That deals 5 splash fire damage to each of the three.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
The bomb hits and takes out the skeleton that the tengu had already hurt while damaging the zombies.
| Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Zombie one moves up.
Rolada's turn.
Make sure that you guys move your characters up so that you can actually see what you are hitting.
Roldala Chainbiter

Roldala grimaces at Orgrim, Guess we're not fighting back here.
She then runs forward swinging her long-hafted hammer over Goldenshrike's head, hampered slightly by the close confines. Duck, Crow!
