I could of sworn that you said that the spiders dealt some HP and STR damage to me, but they must of went after someone else. Who were did they, if it wasn't me? Or did Orgrim kill the first, like what Welby said. I've been offline for a few days because of the blackout, so they're are probably a lot of things I missed lol

Also, would it be alright if I go back and delete the incorrect post saying that Lyra was damaged, or would that be immersion breaking? and if so, I don't seem to see any option on the post allowing me to delete or edit it, so I think you'd have to do it, as you run the thread. Would you mind if you go back, and get rid of the post where I said that Lyra was hit by the swarm? For me, it kinda ruins the immersion too much to ignore it.

I'm sorry if I'm inconveniencing you with all this; this is my first time doing a PbP game, and I'm still getting used to the format used here.

Actually, Lyra, the spider swarm didn't manage to get to you. Ogirim's and your alchemical fire took care of it. Sorry to hear about the blackout.

You seem shaken, my lady, Welby says to Lyra. Did the sight of the spiders disturb you as much as it did me?

Oh really? huh, my bad. I had sworn that the DMed posted saying that the spiders had reached me, and dealt some HP and strength damage to me. I guess Orgrim killed them first lol.

Lyra nods back at the Halfling, and hops back up onto her feet as if nothing had happened. It turns out that her cuts were unrelated to the spiders, and were gain from branches she had cut her legs on her way here. She had thought the spiders we're the cause of her injuries, but it turns out, they had nothing to do with it. She smiles at Welby

"Eh, it's fine. Just a little shaken. And no need to call me M'lady; I'm no noblewoman!"

She lets out a slight chuckled as she brushes some dust off of her sleeves "Anyway, you alright too, Welby? You seemed pretty scared during the fight"

You saw correctly. I think the DM missed Ogirim's readied action and the forums don't allow edits after a certain period of time. No big deal and glad you're uninjured. :)

"Y-yes. I haven't been in many f-fights, and those spiders looked quite menacing. I could imagine them getting into my clothes and bag. If they laid their eggs, I wouldn't be able to get rid of them for months," Welby says, wishing he was in his home having a hot cup of tea and a slice of apple pie.

The dense forest opens to a wide clearing at the base of a sheer cliff. Thick vines cover the surface of the cliff stretching 30 feet overhead.
"Here! The cave entrance is behind those vines ," Janira says with a broad smile as she walks to the cliff’s face.
She pulls back several layers of vegetation to reveal a narrow crack in the cliff’s surface.
"This is where I saw the gillman enter."
As she motions toward the aperture, the surrounding woods come alive with the sound of small animals fleeing some unseen danger and a large creature crashing through the undergrowth.
The halfling worriedly remarks, "Quick, take cover before whatever it is spots us!"

As if she’d summoned the creature with her words, a massive horned monstrosity emerges from the trees. Standing eight feet tall on a pair of cloven hooves and wielding a tremendous axe, the bull-headed creature roars with unbridled anger when it spots the group.

Wisely assessing that a minotaur is beyond her charges’ capabilities, Janira screams, "A minotaur! There’s little chance we can stand against it.
Take this bag
," she continues, pulling off her backpack, "and head deeper into the caves. Finish your mission. I’ll lead it away from the caves, lose it in the forest, and join you as soon as I can. Now go! GO!"

What to do
Follow Janira's directions, and head into the cave <--- <_< ..or.. >_> ---> Fight the minotaur!

She heaves her backpack into the cave, casts a spell, and darts off toward the minotaur before turning to lure it away.

Realizing that her life and those of her companions were truly in danger after only ten seconds of staring wondrously at the monstrous beast, she shook her head, and came back to her senses.

Lyra quickly tosses the rope down next to Orgrim, while holding the grappling hook in her right hand.

"Here's the rope in case you need to climb out, Orgrim." Lyra shouts down to the half-orc. "Try not to spend too much time down there, though. I think those spikes could really mess you up. Just grab the bundle if you can do so without stepping onto too many spikes.
