I assume you can finish this one, my friend. - he says, and then attacks another one (maybe the one which attacked him before? he will 5-foot step to a different one, if needed; he just feels Davin has enough skill to kill the one which they both attacked last turn).

felt like crap yesterday (some sort of stomach virus)

Sabrina almost anticipated trouble, but this was not the trouble she expected. In fact this is better than what she expected. Bugs are better than more demons considering the situation.

despite what the enemy is Sabrina makes her way toward a bug, looking to the best tactical advantage she can. moving to outflank the enemy as they come to bear down on Darros.

Shinari moves around behind the bugs and finishes off the wounded one. Sabrina moves next to Darros and, like him, splits one in half. Shifting his attention to the next one in line, Allyo delivers another solid blow.

And, as expected, fails miserably. As everyone moves around it, it is smashed into paste (not going to waste time finishing off last bug that gets attacked five times).

Darros, you should be at 10/13, not 13/13.

As you search the camp you find a torn bedroll, three candle stubs (each can burn for 30 minutes), a bent fishhook, 10 feet of badly frayed hemp rope, and a copper brooch depicting a bat perched on a mushroom— both of the bat’s eyes are tiny amethysts.

Allyo pulls the hurt people to the side, far from the creatures, and channels once to heal.

As you move away from the campsite, you come to an intersection. The tunnel continues East, but the other branch obviously goes back to the cavern you started in. It does widen into a small chamber however.

Davin and Darros notice a stone ledge that juts out at a right angle on the south wall of this cavern, fourteen feet off the ground. The leather strap of a backpack hangs from the edge of the ledge, while above, a narrow fissure yawns up into the dark.

Davin aims his light coin, focusing the beam on the backpack trying to draw the others attention to it. "Something is caught up on that ledge. Looks to be a backpack as far as I can tell."

"What, no one brought a climbing kit to the festival? Human parties are so dull." The wiry grin on the Halfling's face is sorely out of place given the destruction that just took place. Part of him knows the joke is inappropriate, but such dower feelings can't go on for so long without Davin trying to lighten the mood.


"Climb? Me? Not very well unfortunately. I can boost someone up perhaps."

Allyo steps by Sabrina and tries to focus on the fissure with his eyes as well.

You're right... That could be of concern.

The fissure above is nothing more than the bottom end of a sealed crevasse that had opened up during the chaos previously. It is very apparent that it is not a possible path out.


If Darros holds up one of the taller people (not Davin), that person can grab the dangling strap. To move things along, I'll assume you do that. The pack itself is a masterwork backpack that contains 10 days of trail rations, a flint and steel, a set of caltrops, two flasks of oil, a bundle of 12 arrows, and two potions.

Davin takes the two potions and attempts to identity them.

An investigator can use craft(alchemy) to identity potions. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

One potion is cure light wounds and the other is lesser restoration.


After procuring the pack, you head back East to the only apparent way out. After traveling the winding route from the cavern you started in for about 1,900 feet (at a speed of 15 feet through the rough cavern passages, this takes about 25 minutes to navigate), your group reaches the tunnel’s end at a junction. To the north, a 5-foot wide opening in the wall leads into a cave filled with soft but nasty-looking green light. The tunnel itself continues South beyond this.

We should probably investigate here... - he points to the cave with analytical eyes - ... as more innocent might need our help there. Plus, I wouldn't want to turn my back to something that could be unpleasant.

Looking to the cave entrance, he concentrates touching his Desna holy symbol, then tries to detect the presence of evil.

I can hold the rest of the gear for now, unless someone else needs something. Since I lost most of my backpack items when the hotel crashed, I have more than enough space and carrying capacity.

Davin dismisses the light spell on his coin and pulls his cloak tighter around himself using the light of the cavern to guide him. He quietly slips through the mouth of the cave exploring and searching for anything of note.

Allyo briefly concentrates, but detects no foul auras. Davin quietly slips into the cavern and is confronted by a single sizable 20-foot-tall building that remains in the center of this 30-foot-high cave, a bunker-like structure with no windows and walls of worked stone blocks. A 10-foot-long carving of a hammer decorates the building’s facade. The ruins of collapsed outbuildings stand to either side.

"It looked like a bunker, no windows or anything to see inside. I actually think it was built down here since it is perfectly intact. There's a huge carving of a hammer on it. Nothing I've ever heard of. Maybe a dwarven building or something, they like their hammers and stone." Davin tells the group, trying to be as detailed as possible.

Lead the way, wise halfling. - Allyo points and starts marching towards the cave - Let's approach and investigate. Our companions are right - we might be able to recover supplies or, more important, someone else might need our help down here.

He looks at the rest of the party, showing a smile of confidence.

Besides, we shall discover what this intact building does down here. It seems Desna wants to gently guide us to it, and if I can't see her stars from here, I still can walk under their light in my mind.

Davin cautiously approaches the door searching for traps before attempting anything to do with the door.

Assuming he finds nothing dangerous Davin will attempt to knock. After giving anyone inside a few moments to answer he will try the door.


Shinari sees nothing different, the green light emanates from various lichen on the cavern walls.
You see nothing amiss and knock. After several moments of complete silence, you push on the door. It resists your efforts at first, apparently stuck, but you force it open. Inside you see a small room with a pedestal at the other end containing clear clean water and a door to the north.
