DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

OK: I will be posting up more soon, but I wanted to kick this off. Those engaged in the game please post up your ideas. Level 9 characters, heroic stat buys, max gold. first level max HP, roll thereafter.

Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

Noted. I head home this evening, and should have plenty of time this weekend to work on this.

My potential ideas are either bringing back my rogue/conjurer from GM Tordek's Pathfinder game, bringing back my fighter/binder from MWBeeler's Dark Sun game, or just waiting to see what party roles need to be filled.

Male HP = 41/63 | AC = 13 | F+7/R+9/W+9 | Per + 11 | Init + 7

I got to pump him up 2 levels but he is a Wizard who has crossed over to cast Divine spells with the idea of perhaps one day becoming a God himself. He thinks very highly of himself :-)

On review, the assassin PrC is pretty craptastic. I might create the same concept with a ninja. Also considering a mesmerist, though. I've always thought domination magic is far more evil than necromancy.

Ooo,... Time to dust off the idea shelf! :)

Slayer from Advanced Class Guide is a good basis for assassin character as well.

What, no Vilya?

Nah, I played Dragon Age II, and they pretty much perfected that character already. There's nothing more I can do there.

I figured I will research self help articles on the web for "how to be evil" But I could simply go with either an evil summoner or necromancer. I have wanted to try both ideas in the past but never tried.

Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

So where do we stand with PCs?

Male HP = 41/63 | AC = 13 | F+7/R+9/W+9 | Per + 11 | Init + 7

Assuming Myth is approved I just need to pump him up 2 levels so Wizard here.

Roll call?

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Roll call sounds good. I'd like to see what everyone is thinking.

Mythanniel looks fine.

Update on my end: I am currently reading over the module and making adjustments. I pulled it out of Faêrun, you might have noticed that. I don't feel like I have the knowledge to run a Forgotten Realms game canonically.

Don't worry too much about concepts. I'm known for green-lighting most ideas. I'm not a 'GM of No'. As for evil, there's all flavors. You can do the black-hearted psychopath. You can do the amoral mercenary who kills to provide money for his family. You can do the damaged victim out for revenge. Whatever you feel like.

Assume Argoan is a country with a fairly multicultural foundation. So, I can work with most races. Also, they have a primary deity that forbids execution of prisoners. Which is why they are taking the trouble to house you all in the Black Tower instead of putting you on the chopping block.

Shadow's Status

Bah, I run FR non-canon, why worry about canon. Just drop Elminster's name but never have him appear and it'll feel like an FR game :-)

Lol. I'm a canon stickler. I never feel right about running something half-assed

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I'm certain most people will be busy with holiday doings. I'm keeping tabs on the thread should there be any issues. Feel free to post your concepts here if and when you start the process

I'm always free around the holidays. I'm just waiting for other people to post concepts before I decide which party role needs to be filled, unless you need me to pick something right now.

Myth is done, just need to bump him up 2 levels which I will do when I have some free time.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Heehee! There's gonna be a lot of fighting

Current roll call:

Storyteller Shadow: wizard
Celestial Healer: assassin or mesmerist (?)
Aranna: spellcaster (?)

Anyone else? I'm starting to think this game should have been titled "Indecisive Squad."

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah. I'm going to put out another shout out. If some folks committed out of interest and aren't following through than perhaps I'll open it up to a wider audience

Female Human Manager 5 / IT professional 3

I haven't forgotten but this is my busy month of panicking. After the holiday is the first I will be able to focus on the game.

LOL!

Did someone call me?!? ;P

I'm still interested, just,... ah you know. ;P
(Busy, mostly. Also indecisive!) ;)

I think I'll try getting AWAY from my traditional wiz bit.
(WHAT? It could happen!) ;P

Still considering a Summoner, but Aranna called it first so she can have it. :)

Also thinking an evil swashbuckler or selfish-dashing rogue type. BAsically a Robin Hood who robs from the rich and donates SOME to others. But not much. ;) (Classes? Swashbuckler obviously, maybe a dex ranger for a bowman, or a Vigilante as a reverse-Zorro) :/

Aranna wrote:

THIS! Yes. This here. Me too. :)

As much as I enjoy playing spellcasters, I think this group has the "sneaky mage" role pretty filled. So, poll: should I go for an antipaladin / fighter tank-type, or a monk / DPS role?

Male HP = 41/63 | AC = 13 | F+7/R+9/W+9 | Per + 11 | Init + 7

Anti-Paladin/Fighter Tank Type.

David M Mallon wrote:

Your choice of course,

But, There is something scary-evil about an armored wall of indestructible death coming at you with a bloody weapon.

Of course, there is something JUST as scary about the quiet robed character that walks up to you and b!@#$ slaps you into negatives too!

(I'm imagining the original 'Kung-Fu' TV show, if the lead were psychotically pre-disposed instead of kindly)

;P

Just ask the Alliance...

Went in a bit of a different direction. We'll see how this goes.

male human fighter 3 / slayer 6

That feeling you get when you spend three hours working on a stat block, and when you're done, you realize you've just statted out Bronn from Game Of Thrones.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

:D. I like Bronn

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Bronn is like a sociopathic Han Solo. What's not to like?

Patrick Curtin wrote:

This guy makes Bronn look like the actual Han Solo. More like Bronn crossed with Ramsay Bolton.

Male HP = 41/63 | AC = 13 | F+7/R+9/W+9 | Per + 11 | Init + 7

Working on the updates slowly but getting through it...

Just so many other updates to get to :-)

Male Blue Dragon Really, I'm a frickin' Dragon. Do I need really need class levels?

I'll have all weekend and Monday to work on my character. A female half-elf Cleric of Beshaba of a violence-prone Druid of Malar. I haven't made up my mind just yet.

She won't be the team slut, its mascot, or the party ambulance however.

Male Silver Dragon

Could you all use a Bard? I figure buffing and debuffing might be useful.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Bards are always a great addition. Plus evil bards get some cool mind control gigs

Ooo!

Ok, show of hands.
Which is scarier?

The guy who can chop you in half with one swing of his massive battle ax?

OR,

The guy who casually suggests the Ax wielder go take a walk off a cliff. And he does so?

O_o

Just sayin',.... ;)

Depends, is there a cliff nearby :-)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Question:

Do you want to generate scores via heroic method? (2d6+6 for each roll), or do a 25-point epic fantasy buy system?

Male HP = 41/63 | AC = 13 | F+7/R+9/W+9 | Per + 11 | Init + 7

Myth was created with a 25 point buy but I am fine if everyone else wants to roll.

Patrick Curtin wrote:

I used the Heroic NPC Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8), but I can adjust based on whatever everyone decides.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I'm happy with giving people an either or choice. I want you all to have good stats and as long as no one feels slighted you can use either

I still want to go with roll 2d6+6, rerolling 1s, 2s, 3s, and 4s.

~grins and runs~

Male Silver Dragon

Lets give this a shot. ~pulls out my lucky dice~

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15

Male Silver Dragon

Ok. Wow. But I can work with that. ~shuffles some scores around~

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Take a mulligan. Those are wack. You can always do the 25-point buy as well.

Male Silver Dragon

Ok. Attempt number two.

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16

Male Silver Dragon

Much better! I will take attempt number two for $200 Alex.
