2 background skill ranks/level, BTW.

Gonna specialize in snubfighter, or transport, Rhea??

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

Rhea seems much more like a Transport kind of gal. XD She wouldn't personally pilot a fighter unless she really, really had to.

:)

I thought the gameplay post cleared my question right up!! :D

Scholar 1 | HP: 6/6, WP: 20/20 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +0, Ref: +5, Will: +3 | CMD: 13 | Init: +3, Perception: +5

Is there another location I can do the computers sensor check?

Yup. The starboard-side bridge station is unattended, and you can handle a mix of sensors, shields, and weapons functions from there. Oh, and comms, too!! A very captain-y spot, if I may say so!

Both the port and starboard bridge stations have the same range of options --it's a versatile machine we have. Since we have a cut-down PC roster and eclectic skill arrays, I felt it a good thing to ensure a reasonable amount of cross-utility.

For clarity:

By station --

1) Pilot: everything *other* than Mechanics checks to reroute power/jury-rig repairs
2) Copilot: ditto
3) Navicomputer: sensors and Astrogation only
4) Bridge - Port: everything *other* than Mechanics (reroute/jury-rig) and Pilot
5) Bridge - Starboard: as the above
6) Engineering: Mechanics (reroute/jury-rig) and comms only

Do note that this is an "as-is" rundown. As we progress the story, it will be possible to modify the ship further.

I'm not usually one to push metagame considerations, but I'll float this anyway: it may be worth the group's while to hash out some primary/secondary roles for ship ops -- that way everyone can be better prepared to adjust to emergent situations . . . .

But doing that in the most organic fashion might be around the dinner table once you've hit hyperspace . . . . Just sayin'. :D

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

Rhea might be a pretty good copilot. XD She's not a pilot type herself unless she has to be, but she gets the systems themselves.

You'll never guess what, folks!!

I got the Force Use skill rules posted. They weren't eaten by dire boards, this time! Sssssshhhhhhhhhhh . . . . . !

Also: slight sidebar --

I've floated the question a couple times, basically to little response, and our usual . . . quiet has me a tiny bit concerned. So I want to ask once more --

Are we having fun??

Scholar 1 | HP: 6/6, WP: 20/20 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +0, Ref: +5, Will: +3 | CMD: 13 | Init: +3, Perception: +5

I am. I have started weaving my web.

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

I'm having fun. ^^ Although I'd be lying if I said Rhea wasn't a... little concerned... about the bumps and the lights. XD

It'll be tomorrow afternoon before I get anything further posted in gameplay.

Very glad to hear that y'all are enjoying it!

I'm gonna put a pin in advancing anything in gameplay for about 20 hours or so. I'm doing this because it seems we might have some confusion on what, exactly, you're wanting done, Saashaa/Kreshell. Some discussion here may be a worthy endeavor, for various reasons. :)

Total Sidebar:

Rednal -- got a spherecasting cleric I'm working on, healer/support buffer/reach build. Would you go with a brawler or a sentinel (perhaps dimensional defender archetype) to gestalt it? Or some other class? And why? (Looking for full BAB, obviously.)

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

That depends on what you'd ultimately prefer to do with them. Brawlers are really at their best with unarmed strikes, though, so I'd lean away from that if you want a reach build. (It's doable - just, y'know, more of an investment than you might want to put in to making that bit work.)

The Sentinel is a heavy-duty tanking class, so if you want to do reach and do a little more combat stuff, I'd probably go Blacksmith or Warleader-specialized Conscript. Get a tradition that includes Polearm Mastery and focus on the Lancer and Warleader spheres, and boom, you're great at holding enemies away so you can cast other stuff safely.

You probably won't want to concentrate on your spells, so take a few appropriate drawbacks to get extra spell points you can burn to let things run without concentration. Verbal Casting for sure, probably Focus Casting (ring/holy symbol on clothes?), and Strenuous if you don't plan to grab abilities requiring multiple spell points. Magical Signs pairs well with Verbal Casting since you have to raise your voice anyway. You're not stealthy, but you've got Warleader powers - which aren't magical and can't be noticed as easily - when you don't want to stick out like a sore thumb.

Just so you know, folks: I haven't forgotten -- just busy. Couple hours or so, and we'll move along some more. :)

Gonna wait just a bit longer before advancing gameplay . . . .

Male Human (Mechanic) Monk [Martial Artist] 5/Alchemist [Mutagenic Chef] 3/Bard [Incorrigible Caroler] 5

Does the force use skill last one full round per caster level, or only til end of its last turn? I'm asking if I'll still have a +1 to attack rolls for the first half of my next turn. It seems like I would.

I'm good with it. Little more utility early, definite cap later. Cool.

Though that may push back to 1 round/2 levels . . . . But definitely a full round worth of bonus.

Though, really, rather than post a wall'o'text yesterday, I coulda just said:

Fight Defensively

Derp. :)

So: what next, folks?? :)

Kreshell:
I think it may benefit me just a bit if I can get some feedback on the thoughts that underlie your "thought question" -- How long, I wonder? (paraphrased) If your thoughts lie along the lines I expect, then the answer to your question will be revealed soon enough, organically. However, as I've already seen that no GM plan ever survives an encounter with the PCs, there's a chance I may be missing another potential hook for you! :) I *think* you're pondering communications from Nar Shaddaa . . . . Or the matter of "passenger fares"?

Scholar 1 | HP: 6/6, WP: 20/20 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +0, Ref: +5, Will: +3 | CMD: 13 | Init: +3, Perception: +5

Honestly all of the above. He's on a long trip, there's no need to force anything. :)

Roger that, man!! :)

Though, of course, pushing one's agenda a little bit never hurt a PbP . . . . Though I've only been part of four, *counting* this one. :D

Scholar 1 | HP: 6/6, WP: 20/20 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +0, Ref: +5, Will: +3 | CMD: 13 | Init: +3, Perception: +5

a fair point

Will have a post or two later today.

Female Twi'Lek - Fake name: Meda Calanir - Eliciter 2 | HP 20/20 WP 28/28 | AC: 16, T: 13, FF: 13 | Fort: +4, Ref: +4, Will: +3 | BAB: +1, CMB: +0/+4, CMD: 13, M.Attack +4 [1d6], R.Attack +4 [1d6]| Init: +3 | Perception: +6 | Hypnotism 4/4 | SP: 7/7

A note: as an amoral, conniving, Charisma-based manipulative scoundrel, I'd like to reassure you on the fact that, although there may be a moment or two when Vadi could want to use Bluff to lie to you fellow players, I'm completely averse to stealing from the group, making unilateral dealings and such.
And in case I feel like she'd want to try and Bluff you, I'll tell you beforehand in the Discussion Thread so that you can veto it if you wouldn't like it.

Scholar 1 | HP: 6/6, WP: 20/20 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +0, Ref: +5, Will: +3 | CMD: 13 | Init: +3, Perception: +5

I have no problems with it. If we have only stories coming from the GM that puts a lot more work on him/her than truly needed.

That being said, I will not stab other characters in the back. This is still a cooperative game after all.

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

For what it's worth, Rhea has pretty good Sense Motive. XD So bluffing her may actually be a challenge.

1) I admit that I don't have much an opinion on Bluffing party members. I *do*, however, know that the less often it happens, the lower the chances of uncooperative gaming. Though I would only address it *if* a problem emerged, which doesn't necessarily follow. :)

I certainly appreciate the heads-up, Sapiens, and all that goes with it!! *Do* follow through with that, please!

2) As far as story generation goes: I am not the *only* one who can develop plot hooks. We've already had a few sown into characters' posts I haven't explicitly approved -- and, so far, I'm fine with it. I do ask that you float ideas either here or via PM, **especially** the more specific you wish to be in their crafting. A forewarned, prepared GM is a satisfied, conniving GM. :D

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

Also, as a note, I'll be gone this evening through Sunday. o wo/ Please feel free to bot me a bit.

Thanks for the notice!!

Also, I will be traveling this weekend. I won't be back until Monday evening, so we may have a bit of a slowdown. I'll do what I can, but I won't have my documents with me; it may just be more roleplaying till then.

Welp, I'm back in West TN now. Seems we were all busy enough not to need any botting or other such . . . . :)

Probably be a few hours before I'm able to post anything.

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

Relatively major holiday weekends can be like that. XD

You should have seen the traffic going *to* Hoover Dam Saturday . . . . Took 1.5 hours to make a 45-minute trip for me and the SO. At least the views and company were excellent . . . . :D

Okay. *Today* I'll post a thing. Real life kinda jumped up and bit me yesterday . . . .

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

I'm not gonna lie, I had a mental image of a very energetic dog leaping up at you...

lol

Fortunately, the SO's fierce, tiny dog took an instant liking to me; and my own hounds love me -- so no feral bite wounds for me. It was a striking reality check after a weekend of excellent food, no responsibilities, and impeccably good treatment. Had to adult, and stuff. I don't care how old my driver's license says I am -- I'm too young for this junk!!! :D lol

**Activating Agitation Protocols**

Anything else forthcoming from Hayden or Kreshell? I'll be putting together another push late today/early tomorrow.

Hayden/Synchro --

It's been a week, dude.

Well, regardless -- next push within 24 hours, folks. :)

Sage 1 | HP: 8/8, WP: 24/24 | AC: 18{19}, T: 17{18}, FF: 15 | Fort: +3, Ref: +5{+6}, Will: +6 | M. Touch: +3{+4} (1d6 + 1d6) | CMB: +3, CMD: 17{18} | Init: +3{+4}, Perception: +8, Pilot: +7{+8}

Gotcha. ^^b

Male Human (Mechanic) Monk [Martial Artist] 5/Alchemist [Mutagenic Chef] 3/Bard [Incorrigible Caroler] 5

I was allowing someone *other* than me to push for some sort of dialogue. Hayden doesn't have any more questions to ask or anything to do until then.

Scholar 1 | HP: 6/6, WP: 20/20 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +0, Ref: +5, Will: +3 | CMD: 13 | Init: +3, Perception: +5

Good stuff. Will respond tomorrow

Once I get some bookkeeping done, I'll be getting another post together. I may wait on Saashaa to get his response(s) completed before I get that one on the thread.

I'm worn out. I may not even be awake long enough to post today. We'll see . . . .

Yeah -- no. Obviously.

So tired I passed out mid-conversation with TerrigansGal (current placeholder for "my SO" -- that was too bland an alias!). I *did* get the bookkeeping done, though.

Post will be up soon! :)

Apologies for my delay -- the last four days have been busy, and trying, in various ways. Will have another post up within 24 hours. I appreciate your patience!!

Anybody got some sideplot ideas they wanna kick around??

For the record: make sure that each of you notes a comlink in your personal possessions, if you haven't already.

Scholar 1 | HP: 6/6, WP: 20/20 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +0, Ref: +5, Will: +3 | CMD: 13 | Init: +3, Perception: +5

I have a post for when time moves forward a couple hours if anyone wanted to respond or put anything in before it moves forward.

Run with it, dude -- we're basically "musical montage"-ing it till we hit Toydaria. And that'll just be a small transaction, some irate messages, and a take 20 Astrogation check.
