Hey there guys!
My girlfriend is visiting me this Monday from Texas and will be here for about two weeks. I'll try to keep up on posting but it may be a bit infrequent till she leaves. Feel free to bot the tiniest monk that could if necessary.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

I can vouch as well. Now, to find his place in the line of succession... from the background it looks like an offshoot branch. This would likely mean a claim weaker than Dasur and Nalnera's, but stronger than Dagmar's.
Also, since the Tharnhammers are a royal family, it should be noted that children of a female Tharnhammer and a male non-Tharnhammer would take the woman's name (matrilinear marriage), unless his lineage was that of a high-ranking noble (king or emperor, possibly a powerful duke). This includes Dagmar's children.

Dasur Deepborn |

Oops, I hadn't considered matrillinear marriage when I chose Dasur's surname.... Uh, let's say because his father was a dwarven hero they made a special exception...? Or perhaps his mother preferred it, to distance herself from the royal family she now considered defunct.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

It would be possible, if she didn't want to keep her surname or if your father was a noble. However, should you be crowned King for whatever reason, it would be... considerate to take up the Tharnhammer name.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

I am here. Sorry. Yesterday was a bad day. Snorri is usually rather attentive so I will wait for him to mention what he saw.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

Here, here, I'll post soon. We seem to have a rather distressing lack of Disable Device and trapfinding, I suggest we make Ivy a work offer XD

Snorri Tharnhammer |

A good and versatile solution, though I'm suggesting we get a pick as soon as we can. And I'm not talking about a lockpick.

Now Snorri should be able to reach the ceiling, clear the webs/rocks, AND lift us up into the hole. Yay magic. I put it on Snorri because he's the strongest.
By the time you lift us all up, the spell may have expired, though, but we have rope for that.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

That is unfortunate. Best of luck to you :)
As to the rest of you do you all want to try to continue on?

Ukrim Warmcloak |

I'd love to continue on if we can find a GM that will be willing to run for us. I just barely got to enjoy being a monk and speaking in a ridiculous accent.

Okay, we have started GM fishing. Here is the Recruitment Thread.
Pop in if you'd like, orrrrr you can wait until it sinks to the bottom of Recruitment and just happen to bump it back to the top.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

Thank you Dasur!

Dasur Deepborn |

No problem. I'm willing to give this a week or two, and I'll try to keep it on the front page. GMs are a rare breed, and they tend to follow their muses instead of embracing the existing.

Dagmar Tharnhammer |

Oy, just as thing were clearing up at work too. I'm getting my first weekend off since new year. Maybe we'll get lucky?

GM Mowque |

I have been in brief PM conversation (one PM) with Dasur.
I am a rather prolific GM who is a bit short on games (12 is short for me).
I asked Dasur if you guys really needed to stick to the campaign. I always do homebrew stuff because I think it is better. You can customize it for the characters, you can do more out of the box stuff and have bigger consequences for failure (and victory).
A Darklands game about dwarves going to re-claim their ancestral home would be cool.
However, there is one big issue. I usually only do solo games (they are my pride and passion). I have tried group games, once or twice and they haven't ended well. Mostly on me, having issues with group pacing.
I am looking to try it again, but I do give that as a warning label. Feel free to turn me down.
Or turn me down because you want a written adventure.
I'm not 100% I want this game yet, but some feedback on you guys would help me make this choice.
I am also curious how long it takes to get that feedback, as an indication of posting!

Dasur Deepborn |

To voice my opinion aloud, I think this is an excellent idea. The GM being passionate about their story and running it how they please makes everyone happy.
I'm pretty sure most of were/can/do post at least once a day, if not more, and we say when we're unavailable.
As long as the bones of the story are maintained I would be fine with whatever meat you'd like to add.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

I have been a little slow on many of my games recently due to moving, unpacking, and a server loss of sleep but I am now able to sleep more than four hours a night so my ability to speak/type and have it be mostly understandable seems to have returned.
Homebrew or AP is fine with me so long as it makes some sense. I prefer homebrewed but I enjoy premade adventures. What really matters in either option is that the GM is able to adapt with the players :) I have been told many times running a game is like herding cats and since running a homebrewed game at a live table I know this to be true.
I do like that you are mentioning the warning label, warnings are nice. As I understand it this particular AP is not complete so it might have needed to be done costume later anyways.
Might I ask what you mean with group pacing? Do you mean someone taking to long to post, that everyone had wildly different posting times, or something else?
Homebrew does take a little while to prep for. How long would it take you to get a sort of plot worked up and be able to run?
What are your rules/preferences/expectations when you run a game?

Snorri Tharnhammer |

Hello there, and thank you for your availability!
I'm perfectly alright with homebrewing, going off road and the like, the reason I got into this campaign was the atmosphere and the general awesomeness of dwarves. Furthermore, I'm generally able to posty once a day (if at somewhat weird hours because I'm in CET).

GM Mowque |

I thought about this for a long time last night and chatted it over with my co-GM (a friend who is my sounding board for all games). After much thought and debate, I don't think I am ready to run a six player game.
I am sorry to get hopes up, but it would be unfair to say yes then fail to deliver or follow through.
However, if any of you want a solo game (or a duo game) that is dwarves in the Darklands, feel free to drop me a line.
Again, I am sorry and hope you find a GM that fits your needs!

Dasur Deepborn |

No problem Mowque, your passions are apparent and should be followed.
Consider this- I'm going to give GM recruitment until the 2nd of March (two weeks since the post) to see if there is someone willing to take us all in. If we can't find someone I will contact you to see if you're still interested in running the game and you can pick one or two (maybe even three?) of us as ready-made players.
Of course, given Snorri chose to be heir I will not be upset if he took a solo game offer as is, and if the above scenario occurs I would highly recommend him for a spot.

Thank you, but a King's strength comes from those who fight alongside him. I'll go on with you or not at all.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

Understandable. Thank you.

Ukrim Warmcloak |

Well that makes me sad, oh well.
If it is easier, I'm willing to be lost. It'll be sad, I adore this mumbling, barely discernible, little monk.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

Don't knock yourself out yet Ukrim. We got a maybe in the recruitment thread.

*sniff* A true leader of the people...

Dasur Deepborn |

GM SuperTumbler has responded to our request for a GM in the recruitment thread, pop in and ask them questions/get to know them if you wish.
We don't have any other serious offers at the moment.

Ukrim Warmcloak |

I posted my question to him! I'm excited to see this group be kept alive, I had high hopes for the roleplay we could do!

Dasur Deepborn |

Well I'm satisfied with SuperTumbler's answers, and after reviewing their post history I am happy to back them as our new GM.
Please feel free to ask more questions before you give a vote, here or in the recruitment thread.
Dagmar- Haven't heard from you in a while, still there?

Dagmar Tharnhammer |

Yup. Here. Mostly intact.

GM SuperTumbler |

I think we are up 5 Ays. I'm going to read through all of the posts, starting with recruitment and moving through the rest. Can one of you ask customer service to make me the GM of the campaign? I'm not sure if that has to come from one of you or if I can do it, but it feels more appropriate to me if one of you does it.
Do you guys have any sort of website or anything? I'd love to put up a Google site as a place to keep maps and images. I tend to post lots of reference images, and the art created for this AP is pretty awesome, so it would be good to have it handy.
Does Google work for everyone for tactical maps? I don't use tactical maps for most of my online games because they aren't Pathfinder, but we will need tactical and hexploration maps for this campaign. If that sounds lke a good idea, I can whip up a site and invite each of you. We can make the site public or private.
Anything else you need from me?
I'm thinking we will try to get everything organized over the weekend and then maybe wait until Sunday to fire up Gameplay, avoiding getting a bad start on the weekend.
As for a 7th player, I'm good with anyone you guys are good with, or just staying with what we've got. Of course, with 6 or 7 of you, I'm going to feel comfortable to bump up the resistance appropriately.

Ukrim Warmcloak |

I am fine for the Waskally joining us, I think all of our builds are pretty badass and sensible and we got some good teamwork going on. That and I trust you not to just murder us outright :P
Google works fine by me for the purpose of maps and imagery. I am all for it since the little bit of artwork I saw was very well done.
I can't think of anything else, I'm just excited to play this character again!

Dasur Deepborn |

I'll email Paizo customer support.
We don't have a website. Google docs works for a lot of things and I approve of its use!
Sadly, Hogun (the original 7th) has been gone for over 2 months now, and I don't foresee their return.
I don't mind if you want to add a 7th. We are your cats to heard now after all, what's another one? ;)
I would advise taking a look through our characters- if there is anything that concerns you mechanically, we can fix it now.
Are you going to pick us up where we left off or start anew?

GM SuperTumbler |

I'm torn. I've read back through everything once, and there is lots of good stuff going on. I'm also realizing how much I changed when I ran it the first time. I ran six sessions before we even got to the Ivy encounter, and your previous GM was way more forward with secrets than I would have been, but no putting those things back in the bottle. Not that any of that is wrong, just different strokes.
I think we will keep everything that has gone before and just roll on. No sense causing more disruption than necessary.
I will look through characters and builds. There seem to be at least a few things going on that I'm not familar with. As long as you guys can work to balance yourselves against each other as we develop, I can keep up.

Dasur Deepborn |

If you want to restart it won't be a problem- we're all good enough roleplayers we won't be metagaming. Well, that... and... I might have already forgotten most of what was going on and was going to have to re-read it all anyway. :p
So I say go with what your heart tells you will make a better story.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

I am thrilled you are taking this game on :D I have no issue with changing her name. Google Docs works for me, many GMs use that option. If there is anything you would like me to change with Nalnera of the phantom Regnir please let me know.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

Excellent! I'm alright with changing the name, and ask away if there are any issues with the builds.
I'm totally fine with Google Docs, I've known Slides to work well for maps and handouts, and artwork as well. Otherwise, I use a simple Altervista for the games I'm mastering.
And again, any changes you deem necessary to the AP, I'll likely be fine with. After all, I didn't know it before recruitment started.
