I've had a lot of work-BS going on last few week's. I'm an accounting manager for a corporation and been dealing with 2 major projects during year end close and some very incompetent other department heads not delivering on-time. Luckily, this now seems to be slowing down and returning to normal, so my days aren't pushing 14hrs anymore.

My biggest problem is posting in scenes were either my characters aren't really part of the discussion or really have nothing to say in those moments, but rather watching and listening for a time to appropriately interject. But I am also relatively new to the forums-based games instead of in-person, so that just might be something I need to work on.

Dagmar is still ready to go.


If you would be willing to put your info into this spreadsheet for me to use as a combat/adventuring manager, I would appreciate it. Or if someone would just want to put all of them in, that would be great. I'll put up some links in gameplay soon.

You are welcome. I hope I can live up to your enthusiasm. I've posted initiative and a Battle Map in Gameplay. Usually, these are things I would post at the top of the page in the short Game description section, but I don't have access to that until I am the GM.

As for how initiative rolls, I would prefer that everyone go when they have time to post, rather than wait for each person to post in order. You would only need to wait if you are below the enemy iniative, so just Glenda is this case (sorry, bad luck) I think that keeps things moving at a much better pace. Basically, you are freely using delayed actions.

Also, in play, if you don't mind, I will roll as many passive rolls as possible. So instead of asking you to roll initiative and losing a day, I'll roll for everyone. Same for automatic knowledge checks, perception, etc.


And let me know if the links don't work, or any other problems. Or if you just hate the tactical map format.

Each of you has an icon there that is layered on top of the image, so you should be able to select it and move it where you want to go.

Right now I have it set so anyone can edit it. If you want to lock it down to your email address/google accounts, we can do that too.

Please feel free to give feedback, positive or negative. We can smooth out how things function as we go, but I know you guys are eager to go and I want to strike while the mithril is hot.

Yeah my teeth are ok but the side of my face is swollen. But the cut did not reopen while I slept. That was my main concern since I am such a restless sleeper. I will get a 'lovely' scar out of this ordeal, which sucks.

Detect Charm could do the job, but Dasur doesn't know it.

I can, if someone suggests it ICly - Glenda's not the type to suspiciously deploy this kind of thing on someone who's giving us hospitality unless it looks like it's going to turn into an ambush. Also, we'd have to figure out how to cast the spell in a way that lets me scan Geirni without being noticed when casting, because if someone is controlling him and they can make a Spellcraft check to recognize that I cast detect charm, well, you know how that will go!

Ok, Geirni's latest little speech there reminds me of Lando Calrissian in Empire Strikes Back describing how he just made a new deal that will keep the Empire out of Cloud City forever, right before he turns over Han to Vader.


Question for the group: The setting for the campaign has Dammerhall as an above ground Dwarven hold, sort of like a Sky Citadel. All of the above ground entrances have been shut off, and so you are on a journey for this lost underground entrance.

When I ran it for my home group, I switched Dammerhall up to be entirely in the Darklands. This made more sense to me, as it makes it more imperative that you go underground, and more of a big deal that you gain control of the surrounding areas. As written, if you could get to Dammerhall and redeem it, you could close off the Darklands and stay above ground. I'm happy to do it either way, but I thought I would see what appeals to the group.

I am fine either way. The Sky Citadels are a big part of Dwaven history and the idea of having a flying city is awesome. Though remaining in the Darklands has a lot of appeal too. Pathfinder does so little with the Darklands.

I basically assumed that Dammerhall would be underground, in the best Tolkienian tradition, so that would be my vote.

Let's be honest- the drow will probably alter the deal, then alter it further without any prayer involved.

GM: I'm for Dammerhall being mostly below ground, with a convenient (now destroyed) surface entrance. Lined with statues and all sorts of dwarfy things to impress the sunlings!

Party: We should talk to Tamar, copy some maps, and stock up on provisions. Does anyone have knowledge:Geography for copying maps? Dasur will at some point, but 1st level just didn't have enough skill points to spread around.
