Unlike many half-elves Somia’s heritage did not mix into a neat little homogenous mix, her ears mismatch (the left more pointed than the right) her eyes are different colours (the left sparkling green, the right mottled brown), and her skin is somewhat splotched between creamy white and a golden tan. Despite this it somehow comes together, though this didn’t stop many insults from her peers growing up.
Somia was born to a minor noble family, sadly her long-married parents were both human and while her father tried not to blame the daughter for the indiscretions of the mother, Somia was a very vivid picture of the embarrassment and shame upon the family. So as soon as they could they sent young Somia off the Lyceum to study. A prestigious hall of learning it was generous of them, while also getting her out of the face of everybody. Let them forget.
She studied quickly, with a passion or learning (though also for mischief), her Masters at the academy have finally bid her to learn from the world around her and return when she has uncovered something worthwhile, so she returned home…
