Aqguazula |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Aqguazula thought for a moment, I don't want to implicate the others. not sure If I can trust Shivikah. Then again I've made friends with a nasty lot.
"Heh, you're right. This is our home now, I was just thinking you know as ex-slavers and all, you know."
Stumbling to find his words, trying to muster something together but at a loss because of disappointment and fatigue.
I guess she should make a sense motive check
"Ah Dagon be damned! You know what's it's like to be a fresh meat among a crew, I guess I was just trying to impress yah. I've only got a good word from Grok, you seem tough so I thought I would impress, become friends with you or something, share old tales and battle scars. I could have someone to watch my back you know. But you never know, this vessel could be swallowed in a cyclone or capsized by a Kraken. If we somehow ended up on a new vessel, we could start new, I have connections from this Ocean to the next." He will say proudly.
Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
I wasn't sure if it would need a bluff check, he's speaking from the heart with some half truths, cold albeit. However he is trying to hide his true intentions

Aqguazula |

3+ability, 1 rank, +1 trait, 3 class skill(convincing liar make it a class) and 2 from racial.Convincing liar

The Changing Tide |

Thanks. That is all I need. :)
She needs a Nat 20 so modifier doesn't matter...
Sense Motive-1d20 ⇒ 2
Shivikah shrugs before smiling. "If that ever happens, I'll give it a thought. You are a big un, intimidating in a freaky sort of way. We could make some serious gold in the body trade. I'll look you up if we hit a hurricane!" She winked and laughed before downing some more rum with little obvious effect.

Aqguazula |

"Ahaha, I've had my chest blown open with a blunderbuss and I was bitten by a shark. What is a little wind going and water going to do to me?! Besides I swim like a fish."
Aqguazula will give her a nod of acknowledgement, " Have a good night yah she-devil. Hope you won't be enslaving me in my dreams, and thanks for the warm welcoming aboard this vessel." He will say playfully.
"Hey if these boys give you trouble, just shout my name and I may just come eat them, although I doubt you will have a problem with them" He returns the wink with a toothy grin.

The Changing Tide |

Shivikah laughs and pulls back the bottom corner of her shirt, to show a pair of concealed handaxes. "I'll be alright pet, but thanks for the offer. If I find someone with a blunderbuss or a shark I'll give you a holler though. And welcome to the ship. Here's hoping we find us a fat prize soon, we'll get some gold in to those pockets and you can buy me a drink at the next port we touch down in!" With that the woman gives him a friendly pat on the shoulder before turning and joining back in with the games going on on the deck.

Aqguazula |

"Ay Ay"
Aqguazula walk away to find the group or at least Sandra, I think I've won her over, but I will play it cool for now.
I might need to hit the sack soon, I'm so tired, so weak.
Aqguazula starting to lean on his mace end of his spear, trying not to scar the deck and get a lashing.
Who is she playing with out of curiosity?

The Changing Tide |

She is playing with a Dwarf, two human females and a Gnome male.
Top Deck
When Aqguazula walks up on to the top deck, Sandara smiles and stands, offering him her hand to shake. "Ah good, one more of you new crew joins us. Welcome our Sea-faring brother, and how goes it tonight?" She pulls the largest suit of armour from the bag and tosses it to him.
"Yours I assume? Think of it as a peace offering, from me to you. So I saw you talking to Shivikah just now? She is a tough one but if you can get her onside, more power to you. It will stand to you to have her as a friend." She nodded, before giving Aqguazula a rundown of what she had been saying to the others.
"Really all I am cautioning is restraint, just for the moment, you see?"

Aqguazula |

Aqguazula looking surprised, "My old Armour, I made this partially be myself with a sunken ship as materials. Thank you, Sandara correct?"
He excitedly hold his bundle.
"Aye, you saw that didn't you? Yeah I haven't told her anything about an alliance, just trying to get friendly with her maybe win her over. It seems to be working, but I can't say for now. I hoping to make a group of tough ruffians and merge them with us."
Letting her finish he nods, "I know, I've been on a ship with a full scale mutiny. It ain't pretty. I can understand your mistrust, I'm just trying to figure who are scourges and Captain buttplug's men are."

The Changing Tide |

Top Deck
Sandara laughs at the word play on Pluggs name, before staring around the deck in thought, frowning slightly. "There are three crew you might want to make friends with, all of you I mean," she pauses, pointing down towards Dacota and the Halfling. "Rosie Cusswell, Halfling Swab. She is new to the ship, got pressganged just before you did. She is a musician I hear, or was before they took her fiddle. She came here with..." she points over towards the Gnome playing with Shivikah "Conchobhar Turlach Shortstone. He has a thing for short women. Or well... women in general really." She grins before turning, to stare over to the other deck, where a man is just visible, near the aft rail.
"And that is Crimson Cogward. He is a murderers murderer, if you get me. A mad dog with a length of steel in his hands. Not happy to be here, not happy about anything really. He has a dark humor and loves messed up tales. Tell him some and he might be your friend!"
Rosie is a Fighter but her prized Fiddle is the way to get her onside.
Conchobhar is a Bard with a womanizing problem.
Crimson is a Ranger/Rogue who has a mean streak and loves dark twisted performances.

Sasha Neville |

Ohh I can think of a few dark and twisted performances.... <naughty grin>

Aqguazula |

"I could work on Conchobhar or Cogwards, if none have any problems with that. I seem to have a silver tongue, so I could captivate them."
Looking proud as if he's about to accomplish something, his legs start to buckle and he's visibly tired.
"Talk about sleepwalking huh, how did I come this far by being this tired?"
He will give out good laugh and fall on his ass.
Edited

Sasha Neville |

man he is tired, Aggy even dreams about me when he's awake. Sasha went below for a few minutes but if what you are telling her is after she comes back up well that is fine, as long as I remember to return.
Sasha tries to spy into the quartermaster's area, looking for anything that may be useful. not trying to break in though.
after that, that barrel of wine and a pair of boots. well now, what do we have here, boots? how odd. she takes a sniff of them trying to determine how old they are.
setting them aside she checks the wine barrel out. now this is rather interesting.
She searches the galley for a wine glass or at least a mug for some wine. she then retrieves some wine for herself. gotta be better than that rum.

The Changing Tide |

Quartermasters Stores (Exterior)
The Quartermasters Store is closed. There is a slot in the door, but it is closed and locked also. Sadly you will have to wait till the morning, but Grok rises with the sun like everyone else, so it isn't so bad.
The boots are old, probably Kroops. They are in bad repair, not worth anything to you, but they do mean that the cask of wine is probably forgotten and up for grabs if you want it. It is only a small cask so it wouldn't be too hard to carry. And with a ship this size, it wouldn't be too heavy to carry down to the crewberths, if you wanted to lay claim to it. But leaving it here, in the corner, would mean you had it for personal use.
Sasha easliy finds a slightly dented mug that will work for her purpose. It even bears a crest of a Bear and a Fish, etched in to the front of it, and appears to be Taldan in design.

Sasha Neville |

hmmm, smaller than I thought. could be useful. She purs herself a mug and drinks it, then taking both mug and cask to the berthing area, trying to slip in there unnoticed.
stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
I don't think I claimed a bunk yet? wait a sec, maybe the spot I woke up is supposed to be my bunk.
Sasha claims her bunk and stashes the small cask of wine as well as the mug.
she the returns topside for some fresh air and to listen to any entertainment going on.

Aqguazula |

Aqguazula with the help of Sandara, will stumble over to the nearest unclaimed bunk and lockbox. Like a felled tree, he collapses into the hammock. May his dreams carry him or the nightmarish thoughts in his mind emerge.

The Changing Tide |

Crew Berths
The Crew Berths are rows and rows of hammocks, all with a footlocker beneath them. Robbery on the ship is frowned upon so chances are that items placed in the lockers are safe from tampering. Sasha can find a Hammock at the back of the area, in a corner, with a little bit of cover from prying eyes.
The search of the Quartermasters Area / Galley will count as half a nighttime action. So I will allow you to search / investigate one other area before your time is up. Seem fair?
After helping Aqguazula to bed, Sandara returns topside and forces a sailor to help carry Bleepos down to the hammock set up beside Aqguazulas.

Sasha Neville |

fair enough.

Chandria |

As Chandria was still near Sandara when Aqguazula spoke to her..
A gnome womanizer, hmm? Ugh. I wonder what he thinks of my kind. She's had to do lesser things than charm gnomes to gain companionship, but she wonders if he will see her as an equal or as Grok did -- a Chicken. She would really rather not find out, so she instead heads over to Rosie.
"Excuseme? I'm told they call you Rosie. It's Chandria, pleased to meet you." The feathered one offers a handshake. "It appears both of us have met the same fate here. How have you handled it so far? Has Plugg been giving you a hard time?" Her voice flattens and turns into a mumble "How I'd love to plug his mouth with something..."

The Changing Tide |

Main Deck Chandria
Rosie looks up from talking to Gupson, when Chandria approaches, and smiles, shaking her hand warmly. "Aye, I am Rosie. So Sandara sent you to butter me up, or are ya here for the big lad?" She nodded up to the very drunk Pirate beside her.
Her eyes harden when Chandria mentioned Plugg, but relaxed again right after. "Yes, he has been riding me pretty hard recently, that is fair to say. And aye it seems like we are in the same boat!" Rosie looks at you warily.
"It really is getting late dear, so what can I do for you?"

Sasha Neville |

going by the listed maps and map key for out group, the foredeck sounds interesting indeed
After stashing her stuff, Sasha makes her way back outside. she decides that it would be interesting to take a look at the ship's forecastle, maybe a chance to check the rigging of the bowsprit.
as she makes her way there checking the foredeck for interesting things as well as any activities there.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Sasha Neville |

but I liked the foreplay deck..... its better than the poopdeck...

Sasha Neville |

OK Sasha is a little experimental (well mental at least)
Making her way aft, Sasha decides to check the rigging on the Mizzenmast, as well as check for interesting things and happenings on the poop-deck
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

The Changing Tide |

Poopdeck
This raised deck stands 15 feet above the main deck (area A3). The mizzenmast rises 30 feet above this deck. The ship’s bridge protrudes forward of the mizzenmast, and holds the ship’s wheel. The wheel
is 3 feet across and has 10 spokes decorated with silver inlays, its bolts carved to resemble kraken heads.
An iron cage hangs from the side of the mizzenmast, containing the body of a pirate who beat the captain at dice. Gruft, the pirate, is dead, but his ugly parrot Pluck perches atop the cage, still waiting for its master to awaken. Pluck is unfriendly and possesses a considerable vocabulary of appalling curse words, which he begins to exercise when Sasha makes her way up on deck.
Captain Harrigan and Mr. Plugg spend most of their time on this deck. When the captain is on deck, the poop deck is off-limits to everyone but officers.
Sasha notes two items of interest in the area, the Parrot and the body in the cage is wearing a copper ring.

Chandria |

Chandria nods, but then whispers, "Who is the pirate beside you, anyway?"
She continues, speaking normally, "Well, I've got things that Plugg and company took from me, and I'm told that you're missing one dear fiddle." She pauses for a moment to let it sink in. "Now, we need our things back, for obvious reasons, although perhaps the issue is much more of a sentimentality in your case. So it seems our goals may be aligned." She goes for the direct approach this time, no nonsense, no lies.
"All I'm saying is perhaps you may help me just as I can help you should the need arise... You never know what they may have us do next aboard this vessel.." Her fear is honest. Chandria wishes to explore, not to be stuck about a ship surrounded by boisterous, drunken pirates.

The Changing Tide |

Main Deck Gupson and Chandria
"He is one of you, one of the new recruits. He has just had a little too much Rum for his own good." She grins, shoving Gupson playfully.
"Oh they have all of my things, apart from my armour..." She frowns, staring at Chandria for a moment. "Yes, okay then. That would be acceptable I believe. Helping eachother is for the best, when you are in over your heads and trying to keep afloat!" She grinned, offering Chandria some of her ale.
"To new friends?"

Sasha Neville |

Looking around to see if she is being watched sasha tries to slip up to the cage and snag the ring.
take 10 on climb for a 15
or roll if needed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
handle animal to keep the parrot quiet: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
stealth to avoid getting caught: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Sasha Neville |

after she's on the deck, she looks at the Parrot, "yeah, so what, She's been called worse"
probably not expecting a reply but at least she feels a little better.
did the parrot also have a matching ring?

Linnet Applesby |

Linnet memorizes the names and faces of the people Sandara points out. The human will definitely be worth talking to again, as well. She stays behind for a moment when the others leave, taking off her half-on armor. With nighttime approaching, and preparing to sneak around, she might as well do without after all. She wishes she had lighter armor, more suitable to being on board a ship, but she had worn her heavier set ashore. Maybe she can arrange a trade with the quartermaster later.
She catches up with Chandria, more comfortable making the halfling's acquaintance in a group than alone. "I see Dacota's still in his cups," she says, nodding towards the woozy Chelaxian. "I've dressed down now, Chandria, so I'd be up for what you mentioned earlier later if you still are."
She turns to Rosie. "Linnet Applesby, surprise conscript. Heard you'd suffered the same fate before us and was curious - any chance I'll get used to it soon?"

The Changing Tide |

Poop Deck
"DEVIL B###&! DEVIL B%!##!"
The Parrot did not.
Main Deck Gupson / Chandria / Linnet
Rosie smiles and shakes Linnets hand, before shaking her head slightly. "Well I haven't but then again... it changes from person to person. Conchobhar seems to be fitting in well enough!"

Sasha Neville |

Sasha leaves the poop-deck giving the parrot an obscene gesture as she leaves.
Sasha then returns to her bunk to get some rest.

Chandria |

Intelligence: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Chandria smiles warmly at the bard, sipping some of her ale as Linnet walks over. "Yes, to new friends." She hands the mug back.
Turning to Linnet, she adds, "I will help out in getting more brandy, but we really should be getting to rest soon. I'd hate to be exhausted come morning, especially not knowing what Plugg may have us do next.." The tengu is torn between helping her new friend or succumbing to her weariness. She comes up with a plan. "I will just have to grab it on my way to my bunk. I'll see what I can do. Until tomorrow... Good night." She heads down to her bunk, but stops at the brandy cabinet on the way.

Dacota Gupson |

"I'll have to make... the, the visit to the qua, quarterma, master tomorrow. I'm a gettin' tired," he yawns getting up with some struggle before heading towards what he believed to be the crew quarters before stopping to ask, "Which way."

Sasha Neville |

she just pocketed it for now

Linnet Applesby |

Linnet winces as Chandria divulges their purpose to Rosie but supposes there's nothing for it.
Intelligence: 1d20 ⇒ 3
"Well, I'd love to commiserate over something other than that noxious rum sometime," says Linnet to Rosie. "Good night."
She follows Chandria, asking, "Where are we even sleeping?" She still intends to check out the Galley tonight but wants to store her armor first. If she can't find anything, she can always get the Tengu's help tomorrow.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Perception 20 + 8 = 28

The Changing Tide |

Chandria managed to sneak in to the Galley and pick up the Rum without any trouble, along with Linnet. While Linnet is strolling around, searching through the Galley, she comes across a strange sight. She finds a lock, hanging open on a closet. The closet is open and empty, but the lock is of really good quality.
Main Deck Gupson
Rosie laughs when Gupson stirs and hops down, grabbing the man and pulling him to his feet, before pushing him on the lower back to get him moving. "Come on new blood, we'll get you to bed!"
