Sasha Neville |

I believe Sasha already posted, she just is working for now, no exploring just yet. however if this is permitted
As Sasha is working the rigging lines she can't help but notice the Tengu having some trouble catching dinner,
survival: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Sasha attempts to assist her catching dinner, hoping that she may have an ally in the future.

The Changing Tide |

No one... I just can't count. :P Update incoming.
Middle Hold-
Bleepos strolls in to the Middle hold, his sack full of partially eaten rats and bugs. He is joined moments later by Linnet, who enters the hold from one of the stairs leading down from above.
catapult, and 12 barrels containing 20 gallons of oil each.
Bigger update coming later. For now I must away. Fiances friends birthday.

Chandria |

Chandria is grateful to the tiefling as she comes over to assist in proper net placement in the deep waters. As Chandria pulls them back up, she smiles as she realizes they're absolutely stuffed full of fish. "You seem quite skilled at this! Thankyou!" With such heavy nets, she struggles as she drags them back down to the galley to meet Kroop.
Redid my RP using the Work Diligently roll, although Sasha assisted in any case.

The Changing Tide |

Galley
1d100 ⇒ 57
Chandria drags her stuffed nets down under deck and in to the galley. The Tengu woman is assaulted by the smell of alcohol and unwashed bodies, as she pushed open the door and makes her way inside. A bedraggled looking man, sits at the heavily polished wooden table, head cupped in one hand, drinking from a bottle of rum dejectedly. He looks up as the Tengu enters and grins toothily. "Yer the new Cooks Mate? Aye lass, come in an put em down there!" He points to an area of clear work space. "I'll get cookin in a minute, just a minute..." With that he sits back and closes his eyes.
Kroop is drunk and will need you to help him cook. Make a Profession (Chef) check or an Intelligence check please Chandria.
Below Deck
The Quartermasters eyes widen as the alcohol appears and she nods appreciatively. "A useful talent ya got there boy. Might maybe make ya friends!" She smiled and nodded at him as he left.
Main Deck
Scourge looks in on Gupsons work during the day and finds it adequate, even stretching so far as to give the man a grudging nod.
Rigging
Sasha spends her day working hard, stopping to help Chandria, but returning right back to the rigging. She gets the feeling that Plugg has watched her the whole time, but the man never approaches and never signals her, so it is probably best to leave him be.
I will move this along, after Chandria has had a chance to complete her day tasks.

Linnet Applesby |

Linnet beckons to the goblin. "My name's Linnet. What's yours? And what do you think about all this?" She keeps her voice low so that the tarred and feathered man, whom she casts uneasy glances at, can't hear them. "Obviously, keeping the ship running is in our best interests while at sea. I wonder how much of the crew is here by choice, though."

Chandria |

The tengu dumps the nets of fish down on the clear workspace and examines the filthy looking man as he sleeps. He carries a rooster on his shoulder? She shudders to think he might see her as a possible pet.
Now turning to her catch, Chandria begins to skillfully prepare the fish, slicing them along the long end with a knife and carefully picking out bones. Before long, the process becomes instilled in her, and each fish is deboned and ready in seconds.

Bleepos Droppo |

Bleepos greets Linnet while getting out of anyone's sight - especially that chained man.
I'm Captain Bleepos Droppo, mate. Famous Droppo Gobbo of the Seas. A storm ate my ship and my men, and a giant shark ate my leg. That's when the men of this ship managed to get me, in my most hurt, painful hours!
He dresses the armor and hides the tools the best he can, while looking at her with curiosity.

Aqguazula |

going to be studying for an exam today. Will post my sense motive check and text when I can

The Changing Tide |

Galley
Chandria cleans and fillets the fish perfectly, before moving on to the vegetables. She takes her time, cutting everything perfectly, before adding it all to the large round bottom pot full of boiling water. Through her years of eating, she managed to figure out what to add and comes up with a tasty filling stew. Kroop comes too, towards the end of the process and watches, bleary eyed as the Tengu cooks.
"“It’s poison, this ship, but don’t let anyone hear you say it aloud. The hull listens, see, and the cap’n hears it all. Poison the Wormwood is, though, rotten to the core. You’ll not meet a more nasty, sour piece of work than Cap’n Harrigan in all your days at sea, and his crew’s the same, ’specially the first mate, Mr. Plugg. Vicious little sod, he is. He’d take his own mother’s liver to the butcher to make pies with, he would. But they leave me alone, mostly. They know I can’t ’arm ’em.” He slurred, standing up and straightening his clothes, before taking over the last few steps.
"You just keep your head down lass and you'll do fine. No call for rockin the boat with nout but water around. Ye'll just get yerself drownt!"
Main hold
The man chained to the mast stares at you quizzically, but doesn't make a sound, choosing to go back to playing with the dust in a moat of light before him instead.

Bleepos Droppo |

Yes, keep ship floating, for now! No fire! - Bleepos finally drives his attention back to her, after looking at the feathered man.
The goblin is way too curious - as supposed, for his short lived race - and he obviously seems now to want to know more about the chained man.
He's chained for a reason! Maybe I could try to unchain him for all the other wrong reasons! Pigfaced double crossers fish guts smelling long legged probably won't like it! - he whispers, holding his own playful laughter.

Chandria |

Chandria continues to cook in the Galley, raising her head up out of the bowl only to listen to the drunk. "Yessir, I don't want any trouble. I simply wish to explore these vast seas and any lands we may arrive at. There's just so much to be discovered." She stirs the stew with one hand and holds the pot with the other. The mix of vegetables and fish isn't unlike one of the alchemical experiments she would perform back home. She attempts to use Kroop's drunkenness to her advantage. "But how do you think I could get my potions and other gear back from Plugg?"

The Changing Tide |

Kroop shakes his head at the question and grins. "Ya ain't got to get em off of that malicious bastard girl, ya gotta get it off of the Quartermaster, Grok. She is a good lass, not as bad as all them others, but she won't just give em up. Ya need to either make her yer friend or trick er. She is mighty superstitious, convince her the gear is cursed and she'll turn it over. Or, tell her some tales and get her nice and drunk and she'll be yer friend!" He took another swig of rum and belched loudly in appreciation.

Chandria |

The Tengu concocts a plan to go along with her stew. I may not be able to convince the quartermaster, but if I can get her drunk... She looks back up at Kroop. "I noticed you're drinking alone, surely you'd prefer to have someone to drink with, wouldn't you, friend? Might I have a bottle of that rum?" She says as softly and as convincingly as possible.

Sasha Neville |

Are there other riggers?

Linnet Applesby |

Clearly, Bleepos has had some success searching the hold, as well. Linnet wonders what her new purse might get her.
"Pleased to meet you, Captain Bleepos," she says, sticking out her hand to shake. "I'm sure I would've liked your ship much more than this one. My family has a ship themselves, and it was home for me." She sighs.
As she tries to distract herself from her homesickness, she considers Bleepos' idea. A sparkle comes into her eyes. She's ready to make the crew regret taking her, and hang the consequences!
"I'm up for some mischief if you are! We should talk to that man. I could stand watch while you release him, if he won't hurt us. And if he will..." She pats the new sword by her side.

Bleepos Droppo |

Maybe you could distract him while I go behind and try to pick that lock? - said the green bad behaviored pirate - ... Or, we could try to make friends with him first...
Bleepos liked Linnet already. Nothing like setting some chaos, he thought, and friends here might be friends for a long time. They needed allies.

Sasha Neville |

Are we on to night activities? if so Sasha may want to do something. otherwise I hope there will be more to do the next day
Also since there was no response to Sasha's sense motive, can I assume then that there are no secrets? I thought there were other new recruits besides us?
after the list is up can Sasha interact or something, before moving on? kinda boring here waiting with nothing to do...
Can Sasha go off and do stuff without repercussions? If so then you may want to wait longer

Sasha Neville |

I only did that since I rolled first before reading the actions, I did not want to metagame the rolls and chose an action that took advantage of knowing my rolls

The Changing Tide |

While rooting through a cupboard for some tarragon, after pushing one of the live goats that move through the Galley out of the way, Chandria stumbles across six dusty bottles, each of a similar look, all bearing a stylized HT etched in to the glass.

Linnet Applesby |

"Oh, I think we need all the friends we can get," says Linnet, smiling, "though I can go in first in case he's feeling unfriendly." She hadn't expected to be talking to anyone yet today; she's glad she came across Bleepos.
She starts making her way over to the tarred and feathered man, drumming her fingers on a few items she passes to make sure she gets his attention.
"What are you in for, big fella?" she calls. "I can see you've had just as much say as I've had in being on this ship."

The Changing Tide |

The man looks at Linnet and startles, before shying away, moving closer to the stairs that leads up in to the Officers Quarters. He glances over at Linnet before turning away quickly.
"Master told Owlbear to watch the stairs, Owlbear watches stairs!"

Bleepos Droppo |

Bleepos will let Linnet speak a little more with "Owlbear", while he will sneak behind and try to pick the lock to let him free.

home in two hours I will catch up and post then

Sasha Neville |

As Sasha works she takes note of Plugg watching her or at least she thinks that. best let that go for now, we shall see how thing develop later. she thinks, a smile on her lips like she is part of some inside joke.
Turning her attention to the other riggers, Sasha looks for a likely person that could be of help.
finally she settles on Maheem. She makes it a point to continue her work near him. "So, you been on the crew long?" she asks trying to make some conversation, all the while keeping her tail under control.

Maheem bears his teeth at Sasha and grins ferally, "A lot longer than you will be b@&@~. Turn your nose to your own work and piss out of my business!"

well, you wanna play rough? I think I may accommodate that
At Maheem's words, Sasha returns to her work as she mumbles some words in infernal. and the ropes Maheem is working begin to knot and tangle up making things much more difficult for him.
cast animate rope on any rigging he is working on to knot and tangle itself up.

Aqguazula |

I might start up a little alcohol storage near my sleeping hole, just give me the word and I'd gladly give you some, I just going to need an empty barrel. See you around Grok
"By the way Grok, how dangerous is the Captain and his officers?"

Aqguazula thinks to himself, hmmm friends you said, friends just slow you down and bring ruin to you when they die. Then again considering my position, friends might be nice to have...Yes friends, I'd like that.
Could I have a quick briefing of what I missed posted in the discussion page, what time of the day it is do you have night actions, etc?

Aqguazula |

As Aqguazula was on his way to the top deck he noticed something, he's just not sure what.

Chandria |

Craft (Alchemy): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Appraise: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Chandria examines the six bottles in the cupboard and recognizes the brownish-gold liquid as Brandy of good quality. She estimates each bottle is worth about 20 gold pieces each. She removes two of the bottles from the cupboard and quickly tucks them beneath her cloak. This could come in handy in the near future...
Assuming it wouldn't be practical to try and hide them all ;)

The Changing Tide |

Aqguazula, what you personally missed is nothing. The time of day is moving on towards late evening. Supper is soon to be served and night time actions will not start till after Supper, so no worries there.
As he walked back through the Galley, to get to the main hold, Aqguazulas eyes are drawn to a knife lying unattended on a cutting block. The knife is of very very fine quality indeed.
You spotted a Masterwork Dagger lying unattended and forgotten in a dusty corner.
Meanwhile, Kroop is busy talking to one of his chickens and taking swigs of rum out of his bottle.
Really, you can find an empty potato sack and grab all six bottles if you wanted, Kroop wouldn't notice as the place is so messy. But taking them two at a time would mean you would be less likely to break them. You could approach the Quartermaster before dinner is served and she drags the rum ration up on deck. The Brandy will give you a +2 on Diplomacy checks made to persuade her in to giving you your gear back.
Rigging
In the rigging, the giant ugly Mwangi man who had abused Sasha is having a hell of a time. He is struggling so badly, that Mister Plugg calls him down to the deck, where he is verbally berated for several minutes. When the shouting is over, the man slinks away sheepishly, to a shouted "...we'll deal with this at f%$$ing bloody hour you cur!"

Chandria |

Let's do that, then. Two bottles at a time.
"I'll be right back. It seems one of the goats has wandered off..." Mostly finished cooking, Chandria lies to the inebriated Kroop and heads up to the deck with the Brandy to meet the Quartermaster.

The Changing Tide |

The Quartermaster is actually just next door, if you look at the Middle Hold Map, on my profile and match it up with your Group 2 Map Key, also in my profile.
As you enter, the Quartermaster looks up and frowns. "This aint a butcher shop so how do I keep on gettin all this fresh meat coming through my door?" Grok laughs, slapping the table raucously before straightening up. "Ah the Tengu, so what can I do for ya Chicken?" She makes the name more of a pet name than an insult.

Aqguazula |

I will take that dagger
Aqguazula goes topside and in order to tell Plugg and or scourge that he's down his work.
Aqguazula stands by the Starport of the Wormwood, staring into the ocean think of home or how he could swim away at any point. But that wouldn't be fun, for now this is my new home. It was time to see who is on this vessel, maybe make his own band of trusted men and women.
Edited it.

Aqguazula |

I got rid of the roll, so now I will just be on deck I suppose. Waiting for orders.

Chandria |

This is my chance...Wide-eyed and hopeful, Chandria looks up at the Quartermaster. "Well, Ms. Grok, as I'd been working-so-diligently, I was wondering if it would be possible to get my equipment back?" She pauses for a second and brings her hand underneath her chest, producing a bottle of Brandy from her cloak. "And perhaps this delicious liquid may sweeten the deal?" She holds the bottle out.
Diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) - 1 + 2 = 10
Failing that check, I assume I can continue to pass bottles to her until she's, well, wasted?

Chandria |

Chandria grins, happy that she was able to convince Grok. She opens her palms and holds them out. "Above all else, I'd really love to have my alchemy crafting kit back, please!"
It fits with her personality, and it allows her to use bombs and extracts again.

The Changing Tide |

Grok laughs and nods, before walking to one of the lockers in the back. She carefully pulls out the Alchemist kit, before pausing and grabbing Chandrias armor also. She sets both down on the table and makes a few notes in her book, before sliding them both across the table to the Tengu. "Find me more booze and I'll give ya something else back Chicken. Bout time for the Bloody Hour to start, better finish up your cookin and get ready to go above!"
