Good luck everyone, and for some people, I may have better news than anticipated, as I just found out that next semester, I have two less classes to worry about taking. My decision will be up later tonight, early AM at latest (I did not sleep much last night). Sorry to be mysterious, but too tired LOL

The cutoff point has been reached, and now for several hours of deep, soul-searching reflection, followed by selections. Quite a few selections. I may be a little insane for what I'm thinking of, but I'm sure it'll appeal to all but a very scant handful of you (and even then, it's not for lack of goodness; everyone turned in killer bios and characters, so much so that my insides hurt).

I say these pirates more entertaining The Best Crew Ever
Don't know those ones! As anime pirates go, I'm fond of these ones: Black Lagoon

In a way, I'm kind of glad that we actually weren't. It goes well with how the AP starts, and we get to learn a bit about each other as we go on, plus the scraps we get from the backgrounds. It's gonna be a motley crew of people regardless, however. A mixture of water lovers and pirates.
It's a good thing my character scoffs at both! Haha!

By Besmara's britches, How was I supposed to know she was the ship owner's daughter and not just another dockside doxy? ...And what was the man doing checking on his cargo at that time of the night? Still can't says I blame him, defending his daughter's "honor", although between you and me I don't think I was her first and I definitely won't be her last." Randall chuckles to himself "Still was quite the sight to see, me running down the pier trying to hold me pantaloons up while putting my boots on all the while being chased by the Harbormaster's guard."

Sitting in the far dark corner of the tavern, the man scoffed down his alcohol with all the greed of Mammon, the devil of greed. The gulps could be heard even over the chaos of such a dangerous place. Teethless men fought with legless, and the occasional pistol shot whizzed past a bartender with nerves of steel, and even closer to the dark, filthily coated individual.
His beard, rough with age and his wrinkles deep with time and adventure. He'd sailed the seas, you could tell... From that corner, and to it, men's eyes drew towards him as he had yet to finish all of his beer in one go. Already drunk, he slammed the mug down, shattering it. Still holding the handle, he shot a random bullet into the distance, through the image of his old captain.
With the smoke still trailing, he'd almost shot one of the wenches serving beer, and hadn't missed the alcohol she'd been carrying, much to her surprise and fear.
As the silence fell, a sound came from him, his filthy mouth and half shut crusty eyes. "Soooooon." he whispered, yet somehow lowering the volume of the room. As he began to laugh, a slow, deep, rumbling tone, the bar fell into silence. Then, as his volume slowly grew and became more erratic, wracked with madness and greed, they joined him in his merryment. Even he hadn't known what he'd meant, but he could feel it. Taste it. In the very air, something. Something was definitely coming. He'd wager all of his earnings on it... a convenient bet, as he had nothing left to lose.

Alright, so, the final decisions have been made, and by now, you've all realized that I have, in fact, 'split the party' and decided to run parallel PBPs with two sets of adventurers. If you have not already received a PM from me regarding acceptance, I want to personally thank you for your submission and let you know that it wasn't any deficiency in terms of what you wrote that led to you not being selected; rather, it was a tough crowd of great applications and limited slots (even if those slots doubled). For everyone that was accepted, we'll carry these conversations on in the discussion threads.
