In the list of rooms on board ship, some have dashes and some have ">" in front. Does that indicate which rooms we have free access to, and which we haven't seen yet?

The dashes indicate floors of the. Ship. The >s indicate actual rooms. It helps me organise stuff.

Sorry for not posting today, I'm exhausted from work and I helped 3 different people move out (2 of whom had to put stuff in my apartment for various reasons) and get some important financial matters settled today. But to answer your question, Sharice: Yes, it is possible. Also whoever wanted to: You may take your ship action and talk to someone else casually, yes, especially if they are other PCs.

Lol, so everyone else has been having a slow life, wonderful! I feel nowhere near as bad now.
But again, sorry for my absence, Just had a con over the weekend, one of two I'll be working at, so that did kinda take up all my time. And at work, we've been hurriedly moving around heavy boxes so that now I'm rather sore (And to think I have to walk to the market later...), AND am having to help my roomates move out. As if I didn't have enough already, my best friend's birthday is tomorrow evening, and my roomate needs me out of our room to exercise for some reason (even though I take up almost no more space than the furniture already does). So... its gonna be a while, but AFTER July 2nd, most of these shouldn't be an issue. :D

I'm more having time to be online and update myself with what's going on; more or less players won't have that big an effect upon that, and *most* of you have special skills that the others don't (which is why I selected you all). Ok, I just did not want to be a bother and delay the game. I'll jump back right in.
So... lots of things to answer, and since I'll have to make a long enough IC Post. Also, needless to say I rolled several things in the physical world, as it is my preferred thing to do, so long as you guys don't mind; otherwise I'll reroll them on invisible castle and provide the links here.

I should note to remind you that you're on a STAIRWELL. there are no dark corners for you to hide in. Its crampt, tiny, and there is just barely room for all 8 of you. The agressive guys are standing in close enough formation that you'd need to make a tumble check to squeeze past them. Slipping to the side is fine, but it won't let you escape (again, you need a tumble check for that).

There are several; you can see the one leading into the captain's quarters from where you are standing. For your acrobatics check there are two problems: 1) one of the people at the bottom of the stairs can just come and start wailing on you from behind, and 2) You can't take 10 in this situation, since you kind of don't have the time.

Would you mind if I delayed your intervention until the pirates actually would attack the party? It... otherwise denies possible RP opportunities. Also, NO ONE in the pirates has visible weapons.

There are pirates BEHIND you too. And also on various sailing ships Ive been on that are, you know, real ships.... the stairs had a wall divider on the side. Its the only way I can see to make sense of the challenge, so even though its not explicitly there.... it is now, because I want there to be, and there is precedent for the feature.

The stairwell is 20ft by 10 feet (so that all 8 of you can fit on it without taking squeezing penalties). The ends of the staircase are where the pirates are lining up. So to diagram it out, where PCs are Os, Pirates are Xs and walls are Vs:
