Sharice |
Hey guys,
I've already said so hopefully plenty of times, but I'd like to reiterate that after noon about tomorrow, I'm not going to b in town for the next 5 days. If you have something really really important, please tell me before then, and don't be too surprised when I don't respond too soon.
That being said, I have some questions for you all:
1) Do you all want to be on one ship, or can I make a second ship in Capt. Harrigan's fleet to put some of you on? I'm equally up for both.
One ship's probably the better idea -- at least during the start of the game, where the characters will need both a way and a reason to bond as a party; all being stuck on the same ship will go a long way to establishing that.
2) Will anyone have problems with somewhat poorly written treasure distribution? The current stuff if just too detailed for me to match without a large outpouring of effort, and although I certainly could, it might just be a distraction from the rest of the adventure.
I only have one real 'wishlist' item in mind for Sharice; as long as nobody gets shafted I'm good.
3) How much intrigue does everyone want? Drama? Action? Any requests for Romance? If you want something in the campaign, now is the time to say so (even though I could shoe-horn it in later, its so much better to plan it all beforehand).
1) Intrigue is always fun;
2) Drama can be good as long as it stays IC -- OOC communication's probably key to keeping it that way;3) Action is good, especially to liven up otherwise dull moments, but we may need to work out a way to handle combat efficiently; if we have to wait on everyone to post in order before proceeding to the next round, a single 'short' fight could last weeks in OOC time...
4) Romance... What happens, happens. Sharice at the very least isn't currently looking.
5)

Personally I would prefer one ship. Though if you take that set of npc's you made and throw them on the same ship it would be almost like an extra ship. Loot I'm cool with whatever we get, as long as there is enough to go around.
And I'm with taize for the most part on number three. Romances are cool, forced ones are not. And I love a story with some good intrigue. Also I used to bea fan of one piece as well, ha ha.

1.I want one ship.2. Treasure distirbution detailed for ten people is bad. I do want things like masterwork items and magical described a little but leave mundane stuff plain. 2. Drama not really a problem unless it bores me for some reason. 3. Action is fun. 4. I think I will fail roleplaying romance.

After much deliberation, I made the following changes: Dropped the Extra Evolution feat and the extra feat from my CP entirely, instead bought +2 skills/level three times to be a little more bardy during my first level. This brings my Slam evolution down to the default (free) Claws. Profile sheet is updated to reflect.

Sounds good to me. Initial posting might be delayed a few hours (I work nights and sleep during the day when possible.)
I work during the day and sleep at night, but my night and day don't exactly overlap much with people not on Civilized European Time. :)

Addin' in a linky thing! (^_^) LINK
Kestryl |
Putting in my two coppers a little late. Luckily it seems to be along with the majority.
One boat. There may be attrition anyway, so...
Action style: I too like the Pirates of the Caribbean style. Humor, swashbuckling, some curses, some undead... Some dark elements, but not you know, Cthulu.
Romance: I think leave it up to the PC's to choose. If there are some romance-worthy npc's floating around, that's fine, but mostly up to the characters to choose. Kestryl's emotionally at the stage where flirting consists of stupid pranks to get his attention. Not so ready for finding a soul-mate.
Treasure: As long as there's balance long term.
Backstory: Repeating: Mostly survival, then looking for survivors of her caravan, and revenge for those killed. If there's a chance to tie in with Aula's storyline that might be cool.

*Bounces up and down* Whut about me? I got pretty good scores gin' up th' ropes. (^_^)

Did I? Maybe I confused you with sharice, hold on....
Indeed I did. All is now corrected, congratulations on becoming a rigger.
Okay, does that mean Sharice doesn't become a rigger? Asking for clarity's sake, mostly.
Taize Vesper |
Just a quick note: I will not be able to post tomorrow until very late. We have a family trip to Hershey Park (mid-state) for my daughter's school picnic. [She's cyber-schooled and that's the most convenient place for the school to include everyone.] Today should be fine, though.

And that's fine Taize, I'll try to get the cook thing sorted soon then.

SNAP
Or...we could play 'Go fish'...? :/

Okay, so:
I need checks from all of you, as per the following:
Kestryl: Climb, Profession (Sailor)/Dex
Brendan, Aula: Profession (Sailor)/Dex, Constitution
Tiberius: Strength, consitution
Sunny, Turniphead, Sharice: Stealth/Survival/Dex
Lucia: Strength, Constitution
This is for your work today. Also you each can take 1 shipboard action as detailed below:
Work Dilligently: +4 on one check for a daily task
Influence: Talk to a PC
Sneak: Explore one room of the ship.
Shop: -2 to work checks, and visit the quartermaster's store
Shirk: -2 to work checks, and take 10 on a perception check but risk detection.
Taht is all, but this will be relevant for a while so I wanted to make it more accessible by putting it here.

my i suggest putting the ship actions and such into the campaign info page, so it is not lost in the posts and we will have easy access to and what not.
such as done here.
'Sunny' |
Awe...Poot!. Sunny din't make it as a 'Rigger rat'. :(
Stealth:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Survival:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Dex:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Ship Action: Soo then...seein' as she were past over fer 'Riggin' rat', Sunny will get t' natterin' wi' th' crew!
Diplomacy:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16(^_^)
:dragon: DAC GM |
Sunny: I will take your first roll, which was an auto 20, because you only needed to do one. Also you need to choose a member from the crew roster... which I will type up soon, unless you want to interact with one of the ones from earlier; I do also expect you to somewhat RP this, or at least what you do.
Also please put that in the gameplay thread from now on.
Also Tiberius, sadly that will not do... the tables are what they are. Almost all can use Profession (Sailor) but you just got one that didn't.
'Sunny' |
Aye...yah, but folks was postin' here...so I jus', y'know', fell in wi' 'em. (^_^)
Will keep it all in'a proper place next time, honest! (^_^)
As fer who in'a crew t' be talkin' too? Who's scamperin' around in'a like frame o' mind as Sunny?
Much cheers t'ye an' yours! (^_^)

So, ye were askin' who it were I'd be chatterin' to an' such once ye have listed the crew.
1)Quartermaster Cut-Throat Grok (female half-orc)
2)Boatswain's mate Patch Patchsalt (female Gnome)
3)Sandra Quinn (One of the four new recruits with you, the hot one)
4)Rosie Cusswell (One of the four new recruits with you, the halfling female)
5)Crimson "Cog" Cogward (One of the four new recruits with you, the angry human male)
6)Conchobhar Turlach Shortstone (One of the four new recruits with you, the male gnome with the purple hat)
7)Barefoot Samms Toppin (female human)
8)Giffer Tibbs (Female Gnome)
9)Tilly Brackett (female human)
10)“Badger” Medlar (female half-elf)-Old woman
11)Shivikah (female human)-tall Mwangi
12)Aretta Bansion (female human)
13)Slippery Syl Lonegan (female human)
1d13 ⇒ 5
So Crimson "Cog" Cogward (One of the four new recruits with you, the angry human male) be the feller who I initially drift around an' try t' get t'know a tad better. (^_^)
'Sunny' |
Or...use 'tagged' spoilers, maybe?
Just a thought/suggestion. (^_^)
Much cheers t'ye and all!
:dragon: DAC GM |
Sharice: THat is my plan. You need a perception roll to accompany your exploration by the way.
Sunny: Good idea, I'll do that if there's some relevant information at stake that should be spoilered, but otherwise I'll just put someone's name before the relevant section of post, ESPECIALLY if its something the whole party should be aware of.
And wow, post sat here for 4 hours as I finished homework >.> at least I have my priorities straight. TIme to call it a night again though.
