Occult Adventures Playtest PbP

Posting Frequency: Frequent (min 1 per day); GM will mostly be posting at night in Eastern Zone; play will run through November 25th, end of playtest period. Players will provide feedback on experience in playtest Forums; GM will create a thread there for the purpose (will be linked to campaign info tab).

20 point buy, Occult Playtest classes only, 2 traits (campaign traits for Shattered Star and Shadows Under Sandpoint are acceptable), races Core or ARG Featured or Uncommon, no custom races. 6th level, 16000gp no crafting

Recruitment will close 11/3 and game will begin 11/4.

I started work on my faux-russian Half-orc Medium (Medvidi Medyom the Medium) who will be focused mostly on beating stuff up, to start with, and expanding from there.

It's been a busy week, but I should have something posted by Saturday. :)


I'll get one designed! I'm eager to explore the playtest classes and I'll get something together for this shortly!

I am probably going to make a Spiritualist - that class seems fascinating.

Sorry, EltonJ, but the character requirements are clearly spelled out in my initial post. Dreamscarred Press did a wonderful job of playtesting their classes, and the window for this playtest is just to narrow for me to mix the two.

I will be reviewing the characters submitted so far tonight, as well as reviewing the playtest document more thoroughly and planning out the adventure. I'll probably post again Saturday evening. Meanwhile, submissions are still open, and I hope everyone who celebrates it has a good Halloween.

Do HP as max 1st level, and 4 for d6, 5 for d8, and 6 for d10 after that.

Augustus, I took a look at your stats to see how you built your Occultist differently, but I'm confused by your spells section. Did you include every spell from your chosen schools on your spells known list? You should only get one spell known per implement per level, chosen from the list.

Those spells were just a text dump, I've updated the spells to show the ones I've chosen. Had family in town last week that made updating more difficult.
