Well there is a chance that life has just gotten to him so sending a PM may not work. Though if that was true, a quick check-in saying so would have been nice.

I just noticed that I didn't have ANY of my "g" named character tabs open. A sad risk of how I keep my computer logged in and a tab open for each game, I guess.

Heck, i didn't even really see no "g" tabs, I had a PM to add a "g" named character to an online PFS game, and I saw a big hole in the list when I went to put it in character name order.

I didn't see a PM. Honest. I saw I didn't have a tab open.

72 unread game play messages. <sigh> I'll try to catch up, but I won't try to retroactive anything.

Heck, I have avoided duplicating Grimgisli as I've looked at joining other games, because I don't like trying to keep similar characters straight in my own head!

Getting freaky messageboard responses, and it hasn't let me post a reply (Perception roll of 19).

Every time I hit SUBMIT, it looks like I hit PREVIEW (which is why I know the die roll result), but nothing seems to be getting posted.

Yea it does that. You just need to add some extra text to your post and somehow it'll fix it.

Well, I got out. They thought I was having a heart attack. Not quite. Apparently I'm having some kind of issue with my lung function, because even after a breathing treatment, I only was about 50% of the function I should have for my age.

So, they've got me having treatment, and I'm out of work until Sunday. I definitely am glad that I'm getting treatment and able to take it somewhat easy at work, but it's gonna be a bit of a recovery.

So, not a heart attack and not pneumonia. So yay! I'm alive!

That's at least good to hear, hopefully everything is going better with you soon.

I am hoping it will. Regardless, I'm not giving up on any of my games. All this health stuff has caused me to realize I need to re-evaluate what is or isn't worth it in life.

I can get that. Thats why I'm sticking with this. Playing with you guys makes me happy and life isn't worth it if your not having at least a bit o fun.

And hope they figure out how to get it right man.

Just so everyone knows my grandfather has been hospitalized and is in critical condition. I will be back in a few days.

Sorry for the inactivity, my pc has broken down tuesday morning and this is the first day I have access to a pc with internet that I have the time and privacy to hang out on the forums.

I had actually hoped to get in a message or that someone could post for me excusing me for the time being.

New pc is on the way but it has taken/will take a few days for it to come into the shop. I'll be able to make a few posts during the daytime, but in the evening I'll probably not be able to post.

Sorry for the downtime, I'll be back to my normal posting in a few days.

FYI - Shotgun message I am posting to all of my games (and the recruitment threads I have been participating in):

I will be attending a Mormon-friendly scheduled Wood Badge course (first weekend) this week. The Mormon friendly part is that the course runs from Thursday (0730) through Saturday (2000ish) instead of the more normal Friday through Sunday.

I expect I will be checking the boards and posting Wednesday evening, but probably not as extensively and repeatedly as I do most weeknights.

Then, my wife and I are supposed to get up Sunday and go shopping for some better work clothes for me. It will probably be Sunday evening before I post again.

Just trying to make sure people are aware, and don't end up waiting on me by mistake.

Well, this "weekend" (10, 11 & 12 Apr) is the 2nd weekend of my 2 weekend Boy Scout training course known as Wood Badge. This course is being offered on an LDS friendly schedule, so I report to the campground at 0700 on Thursday and get home during Saturday evening.

In keeping with the rules given to the boys for their campouts, I will not be allowed to use any fancy electronics during the 3 days of the course. So I will be out of touch for those 3 days.

My wife is talking about spending a week camping to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. These plans are not finalized (or even really scheduled) yet. But I know she won't be able to go a week without her electronic tether, so I expect to be in contact during that period anyway.

This game will have been on hold for a month when I get back. I sincerely hope that his grandfather hasn't been suffering for this long.

I have sent him some personal emails...not about the game and haven't heard back

So here's the deal the my fathers father who is the one I took the absence over is now healthy and again. Well as good as you can get and be 95.

However my mothers father is now on hospice care and has until thursday at the most. I have spent nearly every dime I have on back and forth travel and so havent had net or even at one point a phone. Monday I make my last trip up before the funeral. So after that I will be back. If everyone would like to continue.

And mini again I'm sorry I havent responded but I have just been to depressed.

Please forgive me everyone. And if you guys don't want to continue then I understand and am sorry to have wasted your time.

One thing for divineshadow and you guys to consider - we suddenly find ourselves without most ranged support if Grim is confirmed AWOL.

Sure

This I would allow. And I dont seem to see posts on anyof his aliases since near the beginning of April.

On the follow up of the 'Aldiran re-crunch' possibility, I wanted to share some stuff with you guys:

- It is easy to turn Aldiran into an Archer Bard. I have played them before, and actually still play one - they veritably rock in my opinion. So that would be a straightforward one;
- On the other hand, I am already playing such a character in another game, so would most likely rather play something different;
- One option that seems to fit seamlessly into this game would probably be a ranger. Useful skills, and fits the theme I believe;
- The other option is a concept I would like to toy with - would definitely be a ranged support, and a scout. But with something else added into the mix, since it would start Ranger (Trapper), but then move towards Arcane Archer and Eldritch Knight - yep, crazy going for PrC, but I am looking forward to see how Arcane (he would almost be a full caster) would add up with archery and roguish skills.

What do you all think?

Well, the idea is grabbing a first level in trapper, then piling Wizard on top of it :D
