Understood. I was giving Fiallain time to adjust her Round 4. I will give it another hour or so and then I'll DMPC her to move things along.

Apologies for the late post - crazy day today

Adjusted Rd 4:

Fiallain's mouth rounds into an 'O' beneath her veil as suddenly the Myrdraal disappear from her view.

Behind You!!

She growls when the shadowspawn reappear a blink later. Her shouted warning comes a split second too late as twin black swords slash into her companions. With a wordless snarl, she rushes forward, already weaving strands of power, this time not only air, but fire and spirit as well. Her spear erupts into flame as she moves into position from which to strike...

Moving to J4, casting Fiery Sword, level 2

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

ok, im confused again. do i need to make a concentration check on my round to channel, or no? i know i need to do a concentration check to avoid the AoO, but cannot seem to find an answer if i need to make a con check for damage taken from last round...

Jasper: Based on your current situation, you don't need to make a check for damage, at least not yet. You only make a check based on damage when the damage interrupts the casting of the weave. So given your posted action of Create Fire, you would need to make a Concentration to avoid provoking an AoO from the myrddraal. If you succeed then you get the weave off and that's that. If you fail, the myrddraal gets to attack you. You still have a chance to get the weave off but if it hits you, you would need to make a second concentration check to get the weave off past the damage.

So you rolled 1 Concentration check already above getting a 24. The DC for casting defensively is 15+the weave casting level. So with your check you would get off a weave of level 9, so you're fine. Just roll the potential damage.

Serviana opposed Concentration check for Litheene’s Cut Weave: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (19) + 24 = 43
Sorry Jasmine, you won't be able to get your Round 4 readied action off since the ward wasn't cut.

Jed and Ryland cut into the trolloc sergeant, carving chunks from its side before Jasper picks the thing up in weaves of Air and hurls it through the night. Its body crashes into various trees before landing with a thud beyond sight.

Jasmine drops her weaving and prepares flows of Spirit to catch the Black sister in a Shield once Litheene has taken care of the ward. Litheene sends a sharp flow of Spirit into the Master Ward, trying to slice the strands but the weaving is too complex and her first attempt is unsuccessful.

Pace is able to easily finish off his trolloc, its charred corpse falling at his feet.

With a mix of horror and revulsion, Fiallain watches as the 2 myrddraal suddenly slip free of her restraints and begin tearing into her companions. Feeling the weight of her toh she charges forward, a spear of flame appearing in her hands.

Or

If Jed had the same thought and takes flanking position with Ryland, she will skirt around to N'0' to assist Jasper.

Either way, she will attempt to hit a Myrdraal:

i want to change my action from create fire to channeling arms of air, level 1, and fling the Fades sword out of his hand

Male Saldean Armsman 1/ Wilder 5

Well then, perhaps I should change my action. I thought you were originally held by weaves, not actual ropes. :-)

Pace moves to stand over Jasper and attempts to block the fade from attacking him.

Double move to O2

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

that was my assumption, with ropes, although the DM wasnt too specific about whether ropes or the power was being used, but reading from the initial encounter, the black ajah chick wasnt holding saidar to keep me bound. so i was either bound with tied weaves, or with rope. either way...im stuck. LOL, you could just toss me into the dome with the others, LOL! i can see that now, and how funny it would look, jasper being tossed like a bag of potatoes and landing next to alathea and jasmine...LOL

Jasper that's fine although I'm giving the myrddraal a Ref save to avoid this. Everyone please see the discussion thread. Jasper if this makes you want to further change your action, that's fine.

Myrddraal Ref save vs Arms of Air snagging sword, DC 15: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

Litheene continues to attack the ward.

Using level 3 weave slot. Overchannel 1 level. Affinity 1 level. Total 5 level cut weave.
Concentration to overchannel: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
Opposing concentration: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (13) + 25 = 38

Serviana opposed Concentration check: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (2) + 35 = 37
Note: The big jump in her check modifier is not anything she cast or an item or something. It was simply bad math on my part, as the previous post was done from memory. The Round 4 opposed should've also been made with a +35.

WOW!!! Really wasn't expecting that with the corrected math on Serviana's side. Litheene will cut through the Master Ward.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

by the way DM, what am i bound with? rope? or tied off weaves?

Good ole fashioned rope. And given that they’re trollocs, you probably don’t want to think about what’s been used as your gag. ;-)

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

shoulda thought about this before but... are my arms and legs tied behind me or in front?

Arms are tied behind your back. Legs are just at the ankles, not connected or anything.

Alathea's heart races as she sees Litheene's weave slices through the weaves of Serviana's ward. Her impatience has been gnawing at her heart: by linking with Jasmine, she has forgone assisting her friends in every other way. She's cringed as the Trollocs and Myrddraal have landed strike after fearsome strike upon the men and she's wished that she could attack the monsters with the Power, or at the very least Heal her friends after the fact. But now...now her waiting might pay off! With the foul woman's ward no more, she is once again vulnerable.

"Now, Jasmine! Cut her off!" Light send that we succeed!

Alathea Sedai wrote:

Fyi as we're still waiting for Jasmine's post and to make sure she knows her options. Master Ward was cut but Barrier to Sight is still up, preventing Jasmine from targeting Serviana.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

time out. So on round 5 litheene is able to smash through the master ward? if so, then on my initiative the ward is down correct? I may be modding my action, since DM said i could.

Oh, I forgot about that. How about I change what Alathea says to:

"Now, Jasmine! Be ready!"

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

Litheene arranges her weaves for another assault on the ward, focusing on the flows of the 5 powers in the dome's pattern. She fills herself with Saidar and strikes again. I see it's pattern, I know this weave, I can break it!. The clash of wills pushes her to the limit as her spirit knife strikes at Serviana's ward, but at the limit of her ability Litheene feels the other women weaves give, as the ward dissipates, breaking the protective dome.

Litheene sees Jasmine ready to shield the black sister, however she is still covered by the barrier to sight, and Litheene fears that if the oportunity to utilize the chance to weave against her is lost, another master ward might be on it's way.

Jasper, this is your chance to put arms of air to good use :). Push her and everything else out of her barrier

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

On second though, we can just area attack the barrier to sight, and if she loses consciousness her weaves go down with her. We can heal her later (shielded). Not too strong thou, to avoid killing her on the spot

Jasper Firewyn wrote:

Within reason. In Round 4, Jasmine was Readying an action based on the situation with the Ward. She might be doing this for Round 5 as well, we'll see when she posts. Jasper you have been in combat and casting offensive weaves at the shadowspawn around you. Plus you already said you were changing your action to an attempt to fling the fade's sword away. At this point, I'm gonna say your turn is over.

Thanks! Being unemployed for a year sucks.

Fireball level 3 using level 0 weave DC 17 reflex save for half. Attempting to fire it 20 feet beyond her so as to make sure to miss ryland and Jasper. If I can avoid Jed I will but if not I will return hp to him if the need arises. Ranged touch attack to hit target square. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 4d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 2) + 5 = 18

Jasmine alters her weave as the Master Ward comes down hurling a ball of fire towards her. After the weave explodes she yells out Jed, get her now!

Actually that would need to be a ranged touch attack. Normally AC would be pretty low but due to the trees there will be some modifiers. Feel free to make that roll.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

all i was gonna change was instead of flinging the sword i was gonna fling the fade to his dark mistress, hoping to take out 2 birds with a fling...but, i guess not

seeing the Fade stand over him, holding defiantly onto its fey sword, Jasper thinks to himself next time, im tearing off the arm

The fades whirl about themselves, taking blows from all sides yet their deadly dance doesn't halt. The first one's blade slashes out at Jed and Ryland while the second stabs its blade down into Jasper before turning to deal with Fiallain.

As the Master Ward crumbles, simultaneous beads of red light shoot out, one from Jasmine's hand and another from within the clouded dome. Jasmine's bead blossoms into a fiery explosion, flames encompassing the myrddraal near Fiallain. A scream can be heard from within the opaque barrier before cutting off abruptly as the flames wash through the barrier.

At the same time, Jasmine, Alathea, and Litheene dive to the ground (figuratively) as an equally large blast of flame envelopes their campsite, Litheene's ward proving no resistance to the blast.

Serviana had readied an action to weave Fireball if her shield was overcome which would take place pretty much simultaneously with Jasmine's action. Ref saves for everyone! Jasmine, your fireball could safely get Serviana and the second myrddraal.

Serviana Fireball damage: 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 5, 5) + 10 = 25
Jasmine ref, DC 17: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Alathea ref, DC 17: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Litheene ref, DC 17: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
M2 ref save: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Serviana ref save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

M1 attack 1 at Jed: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15, Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
M1 attack 2 at Ryland: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26, Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

M2 attack 1 at Jasper: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22, Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
M2 attack 2 at Fiallain: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21, Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

I'll have the next update posted soon.

Alathea's hitpoints: 0/25

Alathea's eyes open wide as she sees the result of Serviana's weaving. Weavesight, target DC 15 to identify the weave: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21: yeah, she knows what's coming... She can't see the weave itself, but she doesn't need to: she's used the same weave often enough. But even with the fleeting moment of forewarning, her dive towards safety isn't quick enough. The concussive force of the fireball knocks her to the ground, and the searing heat and flame wash over her helpless form. The smell of her burnt hair and charred flesh wash over her, and the pain of her burns is excruciating, but she mercifully slips from consciousness soon after.

Well, I hope that Jasmine can manage against Serviana and the Shadowspawn without Alathea's part of the circle...good luck!

Actually at 0 hit points you are only disabled, conscious but seriously banged up. Any strenuous activity would drop you to negatives and break the link but I wouldn't consider maintaining the link strenuous. Since you're not the one channeling, all you have to do it maintain. Basically the only thing keeping you on your feet right now is the flow of Power pouring into Jasmine. Granted with Jasmine at 0 as well, you're both teetering on the edge.

Female Domani Wilder 1/Initiate 4/Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah 6 Defense 18 (Touch 18, Flat Footed 10) HP 66 / SV Fort +9, Ref +7, Will +16 / Perception +17

Is the barrier still up? Not sure if she tied it off or was multiweaving.

Jasmine screams in pain as the fireball washes over her. Barely holding herself on her feet she looks over at Alathea in concern. We'll be alright sister. Looking towards her warder and best friend she yells out Jed! Let's finish this! It is clear through the bond that she only needs a little bit of his energy in order to function properly and will destroy the remaining Fades with it quickly.

M1 crit confirm on Ryland: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7, Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Fiallain Fort save vs myrddraal blade, DC 18: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Jed and Ryland circle one of the fades and while Ryland isn't able to connect, Jed manages to land a glancing blow against the shadowspawn. The fade returns the blow in kind, almost taking Ryland's head from his shoulders. Only a quick movement on his part spares him this fate but not without consequence. Ryland can barely hold his blade steady from the blood seeping down his arm. Fiallain plunges her fiery spear into the other halfman's side but not before it plunges its blade into Jasper's gut. The Dedicated's eyes go wide before slowly shutting. Pace rushes forward to stand over his fallen brother, blazing sword in hand.

Litheene pulls deeply of saidar and is just able to slice through Serviana's weave, dropping the Master Ward from the woman. Knowing she is near defeat, the Aes Sedai weaves a deadly ball of flame just as Jasmine weaves her identical weave, looking to end the fight as well. An eruption of flame springs up behind the myrddraal and Serviana as an equally large ball of fire washes over Jasmine, Alathea and Litheene. As the light sudsides and the flames die down, the myrddraal is burned but still standing while the 3 women in the camp are barely able to hold their feet. Of Serviana there is no sign from within the blocked barrier, the only indication of her fate the blood-curdling scream that came from within moments ago.

The remaining trolloc beats away at the invisible barrier, unaware of the carnage around it.

I guess that, since my face-to-face group played that 0 hp meant unconscious but stable forever, that that was the official rule! I feel kind of dumb, now.
