The hobgoblins surround the party and reach the back lines. The hobgoblins' longswords easily slice through the flesh of the spellcasters while the front line stays intact.

Round 6
You're up and the dice are hot. At least the first two took down a hobgoblin instead of a player.
Finneas Glenn
Finneas = 9 - Crawls - You can only crawl 5' as a move action. That gets you to AN39. You can then 5' crawl to AO40, but that provokes. Your other options are to attack from prone or stand up and provoke 3 times. I'm going with the withdraw and one provoke, but you do get hit for 5. If you stay there they would strike you until you were down again.
I had crawled to AN39 last turn when I healed myself, which is why I thought I could crawl to AO40 and then stand. Either way I'm out of immediate danger for now in AO40.
GM_Chris

I missed you saying you crawled, but the crawl would have provoked x3 at least and you were at 0 hit points before the cast. If the posts say otherwise, it's because some criminal mastermind has altered them.
Finneas Glenn
Actually now that I think of it you're right, I didn't realize crawling 5' was a move so I couldn't have done that and healed. Prone in AO40 and down 5 it is. :D

Attacking (AM,40) hoping we can drop it and form a line in the door with a 5ft step... if Silfr or anyone kills it before Glimmil acts, he will move to that square before swinging at another hobgoblin.
Round 6, Init 11
Seeing 'Kazmo' drop to the ground, Glimmil can't help himself but to let our a victory cheer to inspire his allies to greater deeds.
"Huzzah for the heroes, the slaver-troll is dead!"
Realizing there's a veritable army of hobgoblins still descending on their ranks, he quickly resumes his battle posture.

What an ugly mofo. Geez, this guy is annoying.
Dyrant finishes looking at Atol and turns his attention to the hobgoblin that just spilled his spleen.
I hate you. Dyrant thinks about no one in particular.
Looking to create space between him and the Hob #2, Dyrant will tumble gracefully away.

Atol steps to AM 42 for the flank and swings hard to kill Hob 2. He fights defensively so the Hobgoblin won't hit next round.
Not that it matters, but it wasn't a flank. Finneas doesn't flank because he doesn't threaten, which is what allowed him to safely stand up and draw his sword in the first place.

Silfr
"Atol, would you kindly remove this troublesome quill? It vexes me."
Pain (Ex)
Whenever a creature takes damage from a howler’s quill attack or its quill defense, that creature must make a DC 14 Reflex save or a quill breaks off in its flesh, causing the target to become sickened until the quill is removed. Removing one quill requires a DC 15 Heal check made as a full-round action. For every 5 by which the check is exceeded, one additional quill can be removed. On a failed check, a quill is still removed, but the process deals 1d4+1 points of damage to the victim.

Round 7 part 2
The hobgoblins twist around to find themselves suddenly in the middle of the sea of swirling steel. They hope for the best and ignore the newcomers as they try to contain the party while cutting down it's support. All the strikes land weakly if at all.
