Assuming we were drugged and/or poisoned, would the perpetrator leave us with our arms? Or are we currently fighting bare handed?

Yeah, do we have our equipment, or are we fighting this thing unarmed, because that makes a difference in my action.

Hey I saw in another thread that you may be looking for a replacement or two, and my brother and I are looking for a campaign to join together. Please let me know if we can be of service!

I think you should pm the other people to show this game is back up, they might not be aware.

We have another serpents skull recruiting going on. Should we wait until that DM has picked, then select from applicants that weren't chosen?
Ginganinja and DM, what do you two think?

some are probably waiting until selection is choosen.

Hey there, one of the new guys checking in. I'm extremely new to PBP, but looking forward to getting my feet wet! :)

DM, this might sound like a silly request but I figure I might as well ask. :) Those lines full of tildes (~) that you're using on posts in the Gameplay thread, going forward can you make them shorter? Those lines are killing my phone's ability to resize posts properly so I can read them. :)
Thanks,
Ghorrin

Yes, now that the Gameplay thread has crossed to another page, the difference is enormous, thanks! (Previously, I think my phone's browser saw that line as the biggest word/element it had to accomodate for screen size, which meant actual posts had lots of left-right scrolling to read. :)
Thanks very much!

So, a summary of the characters dead and alive seems to be in order.
First, we have First Mate Alton Devers. He seems to have died from a combination of rapier wounds and inflamed stings from the sea scorpions that have been swarming all over the place. There were only two people aboard the ship known to have a rapier, Captain Alizandru Kovack and the passenger Sasha Nevah who was known to have come aboard from Ilizmagorti.
Second, we have the cook Rambar Terrilo. He seems to have died from the bite of a huge (not the size category) venomous snake. Although there definitely wasn't a snake aboard the ship prior to the wreck and there was no sign of it in the area afterward.
Third, we have the Varisian scholar Ieana. The plain-looking woman spent most of her time in her cabin, and so far no sign of her has been found, dead or alive.
Fourth, we have Captain Alizandru Kovack himself. He didn't interact with the passengers much, although rumors abounded about a relationship between him and Ieana. He is currently missing as well.
Going on to NPCs that are alive. First we have Aerys Mavato, a beautiful half-elf woman who spent most of the voyage in her cabin after resoundingly beating a crewman after he suggested that they could share a bunk. She is currently aboard the wreck of the Jenivere helping to retrieve supplies.
Second we have Gelik Aberwhinge, a small gnome man who dresses like a lord but writes like a scholar. He's been aboard the vessel since Magnimar, telling stories of his exploits with the Pathfinder Society to anyone and everyone who will listen. He is currently on the beach close to the Jenivere where he is awaiting Aerys and Asmodia's return with supplies.
Third we have Ishirou, a scruffy Tien man who has kept to himself for much of the voyage. He came aboard in Bloodcove, and has opened up to a few about his time as a jack of all trades for the Aspis Consortium as the result of a debt. Now that he is free, he plans on going to Sargava to make a life for himself. He is currently with Mordack and the others going into the cave.
Fourth we have Jask Derindi, a cleric of Nethys who boarded the ship as a prisoner in Corentyn. He maintains his innocence, and that he was framed for the crimes of his employer whilst he was working in Sargava for the colonial government. He is currently at the beach awaiting Aerys and Asmodia's return.
Fifth we have Sasha Nevah, a red-haired woman who came aboard in Ilizmagorti. A skilled fighter, she seems to be missing her left pinky finger, although she hasn't let on where she learned her skills or how her finger came to be removed. She is currently at the cave with the others.
And then we have the old PCs who have become NPCs. Gudbjorn has been replaced outright with Rogar, although the others are around for now. If you want to know more about them they all have backgrounds typed up, just click on their character pages.

Was this a consensual beating?

I'm currently in the process of making an Obsidian Portal page for the campaign. For those of you who aren't familiar with the site, it's basically a giant wiki page that DMs use to organize their campaigns. There'll be maps, character bios, the whole nine yards. I've used it before with some of my irl groups, and I think it'll definitely help out with you guys. Links when the site is more or less to my satisfaction.

@Haloniel, you're no worse at the tracking thing than I am, and I aim to give it a go. :)

But we've also got a ranger in the group. He ought to be able to do it standing on his head. Besides, in the current situation nobody knows who, if anybody, they can really trust. It might be best to keep certain potential abilities close held.

Valid points all. :) That said, I expect the difference between the ranger and either of us to be minimal at this level (but that it will widen dramatically as we progress).

I'm just wondering about any signs of passage through the area that cannot be accounted for by our little Gilligan's Island gang here. :) As I said, if whoever left the Jenivere left by sea, there'll be nothing to find, but otherwise it might give us something to go on, no?
