Amy - Yeah, the Ghalunder thing hit me, too. So essentially, any healing I give out would be transferred from my own hit points. That's why I'm very adamant about camping right now.

@ybd ~ so for the Leather vial holder belt, with holy water vials and Bag of offering papers that I pulled out of my bag of Adventuring gear. How many uses do I give each item or are they one use only? and since they were part of the Adventuring gear and are 1/5 of 1 Adventuring gear, I am assuming the weight is 1/5 lb since Adventuring gear is 1 lb?


Your special belt has 1 Weight. I'll let you know when you run out of holy water and/or offering papers. It's like ammunition: you lose it when it suits the story. Naturally, you'll be able to restock in towns, and there's probably a way for you to make them yourself in a pinch. Unlike Pathfinder, DW doesn't pay much attention to bookkeeping and rules minutiae. ;-)

No forming new bonds right now. That's done at the end of a story chapter (which is coming up very soon, by the way). When the time comes, either of those will be fine. You generally don't need to get player approval for them, as they'll be constantly evolving throughout the campaign. :-)


Nice work, everyone. This chapter will conclude once the party's off the island. Then it's XP and (possibly) leveling. :-)

We've reached the end of the chapter. :-) Now there's a few things for each of you to do:

- Did you learn something new and important about the world?
- Did you overcome a notable monster or enemy?
- Did you loot a memorable treasure?
- Did you fulfill your alignment?

Gain 1 XP for each "Yes."

Then check your Bonds and pick one (and only one) that you feel has been resolved. If the other player agrees, remove the Bond and gain 1 XP. If you feel that none of your Bonds have been resolved yet, skip this step. Also, if you currently have less than three Bonds, you may add one (and only one).

Finally, if you have more than 8 XP, you gain a Level! Subtract 8 XP, increase one stat by 1pt, and pick an Advanced Move from your class list (unless you're multiclassing).

If you're not entirely sure how to do all this, just hang tight. I'm happy to assist, and I know at least one PC is VERY experienced and will provide an awesome example. #nopressure ;-)

• Well, I learned a dryad song, which I think works for my class. On top of that we discovered some of the lore of Ghalaunder and his weapon. So, I'm gonna say yes.

I would say so. Silvio didn't directly jump every threat but when someone else was being attacked he jumped in.

Regarding the bonds I would like to change the bond Silvio has with Gleus since he's no longer present. I don't know it counts as cashing in a bond for 1 xp.


@Silvio: I'd say fighting off a zombie horde by yourself to give Fleet time to grab the sickle counts as fulfilling your alignment. :-) Go ahead and change out your Gleus bond.

I'm holding onto my bond: "I sang stories of Silvio long before I ever met him in person." I don't think I've properly had the chance to fanboy Silvio yet. I'll make a point to get on that though.

I have to say these bonds are an interesting mechanic.

Oh, almost forgot. Since we're also making camp we regain HP equal to half our maximum. In my case, I heal 9 points, which actually puts me at full. Sweet.

Welllll, I wielded particularly strong necromantic energy to control the plant-zombies with the sickle, temporarily. Your call if that counts, Mr. GM. +1?

I had 3 XP going into the End of Session. I didn't have any Gleus bond because he was gone before I joined the campaign. I'd like to resolve my Bond with Amy - formerly it was "Amy is kind-hearted but soft. I should protect her from the horrors of the island." I'd like to change it to - "Amy can clearly hold her own against the undead. I'd like to test my magics against her divine powers sometime." +1 XP if Amy agrees.

Since this is the first time we've had an end of session with Roman and Hank, so I'll add these bonds:

Roman has a silver tongue. I don't trust silver tongues on principle.

Hank is clearly brilliant, but his technology is what landed him and Roman on this island with us in the first place. I should steer clear of the effects of his machines.

Also, since I didn't have Silvio's bond written down before for some reason, I'll add:

Silvio is brazen and outspoken, but he defended me when I needed it most. He's more than a mere braggadocio.

That puts me at 7 or 8, regardless it's enough to level up.

Choosing Unliving Large as my advanced move so I can take control of the next tiger we kill. xD

Unliving Large:

When you Raise the Dead, you can use the corpse of a Large creature.

Raising my Strength to 9 so I don't have a penalty there anymore. Life on the island has toughened up this little academic a little. Besides, he's learning that a corpse won't always be available, though the sickle's power should help that a little.


Artifact nerfing wasn't necessary, but it's what the rest of the party wanted. :-( Your alignment move counts for XP, though. :-)

The way the nerf happened was cool enough that I don't really care. Besides, the sickle still serves a valuable purpose - providing me with emergency "corpses" when no dead bodies are nearby.

Silvio's endtally brings him to 8xp (3 going in + 1 for the Gleus Bond + 1 for each of the questions).

I'm going to raise his dex from 15 to 16. I'm also taking the "Now I have the upper hand":

Hank's concept of science interests Silvio. Wonder if it can be used to aid Silvio's heroics?

John treads the narrow path between light and darkness. Silvio must make sure that he does not stray into the night.

Roman is a very talented song writer. Silvio shall use his action to inspire a great opus!
