Female Gnome Paladin 5

Also is it my imagination or has Celena missed a turn?

(Also has Ayish been keeping her music going all this time? if so Celena should have been doing a little more damage + 1 to each attack)

AC 21, FF 19, T 12; HP 41/41
ASF 10% 1d100 ⇒ 5

Caster Level 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 4 = 30 combat casting

Kelden casts Grease on himself.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk sees how tough the creature is, and the regular grin on his face becomes more of a determined look.

attack 1 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 plus 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

attack 2 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 plus 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5

I should have looked closer when posting. It seems that my armor caused the spell to fail!

I think you have

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Well...i don't think there's a penalty for a Bard singing while grappled....

It's not like Ayish needs 'One hand free' to perform oratory/sing. :P

Markhet continues to use her produce flame spell:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Meanwhile Larrs continues his full attacks:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 91d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 121d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 211d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Edit (another crit chance for Markhet!):
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 251d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

When the kraken bites at her Markhet shoves her tiny fist into it's face:

"Open wide you some b&*@#!"

GM

Celena has not missed a turn, He last post was the 3rd in this combat which is now starting round 4. So she has not missed a turn. people are posting out of order, which is cool, no waiting. That maybe how ya got confused. I went back and recounted her posts just to be sure.

Markhet screaming backtalk smakes fire down upon the kraken. Kelden tries to get himself out of a tough spot, but his armor and being bound gets in the way of his casting and the spell fizzils. Larrs also manages to get a bite in on it as ash keeps singing, a bit off key. Celena grappled or not lays a hurting down upon the thing as well with a powerful blow.

Round 4

N'djamerna once more calls upon his god for some healing.

Round 4

* Vrealk = 18
* N'Djamena = 17 (went)
* Sand Kraken =16
* Markhet = 12
* Kalden= 11
* Larrs rolled = 11
* Aysh = 7
* celena = 6

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk yells out a scream and lashes out again with his daggers.

dagger 1 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 plus 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8

dagger 2 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 plus 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2

wow ... I'm really starting to hate this dice roller

GM

Vrealk Slashes at the beast misses it both times as the creature strikes back, it attacks Vrealk 6 times, hitting him once 8hp but is unable to grab the goblin up. It takes its wraith out upon those within its grasp Ayish 9 hp, Markhet 10 hp, calena 8 hp and keldan 10 hp

Round 4
* Vrealk = 18 (went)
* N'Djamena = 17 (went)
* Sand Kraken =16 (went)
* Markhet = 12
* Kalden= 11
* Larrs rolled = 11
* Aysh = 7
* celena = 6

Round 5

* Vrealk = 18
* N'Djamena = 17
* Sand Kraken =16
* Markhet = 12
* Kalden= 11
* Larrs rolled = 11
* Aysh = 7
* celena = 6

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

*SQUEAK!*

So...unless other wise noted, Ayish is either making a 'spell craft check' to cast cure light wounds again...Or, if she wasn't singing last round, kind of relying on others so she can get a round in with her inspire effect so she can cast next round...

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena channels again...

3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 5) = 8

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Sorry to be such a drain, N'Djamena...

Full attacks Larrs!

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 121d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 171d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 231d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Markhet uses her mighty flame fist of justice:

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 201d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

[edit]Awwwwww, no critical, I was liking the critical on this thing every round :D[/edit]

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena smites away

Attack +1 attack/damage if inspire is still going
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24

Damage

1d6 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

AC 21, FF 19, T 12; HP 31/41
ASF 10% 1d100 ⇒ 51

Short Sword grappled, inspire courage
to hit 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 7 damage 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 2 = 8

Kelden desperately draws his sword and flails away uselessly at the beast squeezing the life out of him.

Mad props to N'Djamena for keeping me in hit points

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Think that's everyone, so I'll kick off round 5 also ...

Vrealk is visibly showing signs of frustration as he fails to land any significant blows on the beast. He tries again ...

dagger 1 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 plus 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9

dagger 2 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 plus 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

that's a bit better

GM

Markhet burns the flesh of the kraken as Larrs once more is unable to hit, Kelden barely manages to not drop his sword as Celena inflicts another powerful blow on the beast, which barely seem to be moving now.

Sensing its weaknesses Vrealk zones in on a wound and drives his Dagger into the beasts skull, or what passes for a skull. The Kraken lets out one final roar as it falls to the floor dead, covering most of the group in its flesh as it dies.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

"Eeeew!" Ayish stumbles from the things now limp grasp and begins wiping creepy, tentacle monster gore from herself.

Way to go Vrealk! And N'Djamena and Markhet and Celana and Kelden!

"Thank the gods! That thing almost did me in." Kelden takes a few minutes to catch his breath.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish, still wiping and flicking dead monster goo from herself, moves to offer any small healings that she an to her companions.

Male Human Cleric 5

"Praise Nethys for delivering us from that beast!" N'Djamena cries. "But Vrealk...I hope you will be more cautious next time."

N'Djamena returns to scanning the room for magical auras, as he was doing before they were so rudely interrupted.

Can I get a hit point check?

Thanks to your timely channels, Kelden is only down 10

"Markhet thinks," a tiny voice says from somewhere under the dead kraken, "That we shouldn't have even come into the room in the first place. It's nice to know this one is vindicated in her assessment. Also could someone lift these tentacles off of Markhet? She is small and doesn't think she can escape on her own. Mr Catington will probably pull her out but he grasps with teeth and claws and the pain of being rescued by her cat on top of the considerable crushing damage she already sustained might be a bit much for brave and wise Markhet at the moment."

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena goes about pulling herself and Markhet out.

Yes. The Brave and Wise Markhet must be removed from her current predicament.

"Thank you friend Celena," the tiny druid says as she's pulled from the refuse, "Markhet takes back most of the mean things she's said about you."

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"What mean things?"

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

"Me didn't do anything, N'Djamena! Me was just exploring the room!" Vrealk takes a moment to drive his dagger once again into the beast's skull, twisting violently to ensure its demise.

"But me thinks we should maybe rest again, even though we didn't get far. This was hard; almost as hard as the demon ..." Vrealk trails off as he realizes what he said. "Me sorry, friend-Ayish. Me didn't mean to bring up bad memories."

He then busies himself searching the rest of the room, looking around carefully and not touching anything.

Take 20 on perception (for 29).

Celena Ashram wrote:
"What mean things?"

"Did Markhet say mean?" the impish gnome asks, "What Markhet meant was unflatter . . . er, not nice . . . well you made Markhet mad when we first met, so Celena really brought it upon herself. It's hardly Markhet's fault. Anyways, point is Markhet is mostly sorry about all that, and she forgives you."

Female Gnome Paladin 5

".....I see....Well okay I accept your apology."

"Markhet would offer a hug but she doesn't think she wants a hug for a while yet after that kraken. Markhet will offer a hearty handshake instead with a promise of a hug when she fells less like a flattened tomato."

Female Gnome Paladin 5

".......Okay." shakes Market's hand

So . . . level 6? :)

GM

At the other end of the room lays another set of double doors. The doors may be of great value, if one could get them out and happened to worship the rough beast as they are carved with scenes of his glory, buy a most skillful hand.

Not level 6 yet. HP I shall post in the ooc thread

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

So...what are the doors worth is we take them off their hinges and melted them down? :P

Male Human Cleric 5

Just to double check -- there's no magic in this room, correct?

N'Djamena uses his last two channels to heal the party.
3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5) = 133d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4) = 13

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

And a reminder that Vrealk thoroughly searches the room.

Vrealk finishes searching the room, and then approaches the set of double doors. He doesn't touch them, however. Turning to the others, he asks, "Should me check the doors now? Are we going on further?"

"Yes. We've come this far. We should continue to be stupid and go through those doors."

GM

The doors as works of art, are worth a bit. However they are profane and ya have to find the correct buyer

No magic seems to be laying around the room, other then then now dead guardian it is empty.

Male Human Cleric 5

"Let's press on, but let's not be hasty when entering any rooms," N'Djamena recommends.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish eyes the 'style' upon the remaining doors with skepticism and some slight trepidation.

"I suppose we could offer them up as a sacrifice to some good deity...? Instead of just raffling them off to which ever evil cult needs a new center piece..." Ayish mutters to herself.

Okay, ready to help with looking beyond the doors.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena walks up with Ayish keeping an eye on the doors.

"Markhet would offer her sage advice but she seems to be ignored as of late so she will only accompany her friends and try to keep them alive."

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish sighs at her smaller Gnome friend's comment. Moving closer to the Druid and putting a friendly hand upon the other woman's shoulder (Made easier by Markhet being seated upon the back of a medium sized feline)

"People haven't been ignoring you. I think it has been circumstances moving faster than you good advice can catch up with..." Ayish offers Markhet her own opinions in return.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

"Well, here me goes. Everyone else stay back while me checks the doors." Vrealk steps up and investigates the doors for any traps or other nastiness.

perception for traps 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

GM

The doors do not seem to be trapped and have a small amount of corrosion and tarnish upon on them. It seems to vrealk as if they may not even be locked, he sees depressions along the door and the floor as if it should be sealed with some kind of pegging, but was not. It seems that with a little muscle work, it should swing outward.

Maybe we should pause to heal up some.

GM

opening door or healing or what?

Vrealk = 35 [current 35 hp]
Ayishida = 19 [current 3 hp]
