Vrealk
If there's really no cover, then there's no point in sending Vrealk ahead, yes?
other than one large group with several humans = attack first, ask questions later; one solitary goblin = comical and no threat. Besides, the map seems to show buildings on the sides of the road, can't Vrealk stay near them rather than walking down the middle of the road?
Also, FYI, following a storm last night I have not had power in over 16 hours, with no ETA. So the next post from me is TBD
Vrealk
stealth 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38
perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Vrealk dashes ahead into the buildings shadows, looking for signs of gnoll activity. After going ahead several hundred yards, and if it's found to seem clear, he'll come back ad have the party move ahead. Then repeat. He will always try to stay hidden from the bluff, if he can.
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Vrealk moves forward in the bluffs shadow as the others stay in and round the shattered guard house. Even you can not see the goblin as he fades into the shadows and underbrush near the bluff
A little time passes and a long loud roar comes from up the road, and a large figure land on the road, sending dirt flying and it throws back its ram horned head and roars.
Vrealk
Dirt and small pebbles fly and the 7 foot beast lands near you. Its a monstrous humanoid beast at that with a powerful Oder, cloven feet crunch into the ground as it looks red eyes on the dead boar, and throws back its ram horned head to roar. It holds a wicked halberd in its clawed hands as it starts to move toward the dead boar and the party below.

Markhet
"Markhet thinks this stupid-head wants to fight," the gnome says, "and if Markhet and Larrs went through a big boar to save whoever, then going through this other smaller bore shouldn't be any harder."
Markhet casts bull strength on Celena then has Larrs plod over to the edge of the grease spell. Larrs (eager for a fight) will ready his attack in case this thing moves within striking distance.
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
I am unsure if Markhet is mounted on larrs or not
The things roars and runs down the path ten feet before the grease it leaps into the air, sending dirt flying from it's cloven feet. It slams into N,Djamerna from above horns first sending the cleric backward into the ruins12hp And the things straightens up with a roar.
Now that you can see it, the best stabs over 7 feet tall with cloven feet like that of a goat and large ram like horns, it's Oder is overpowering and white fur covers it heat to toe. It grips a halberd in it's hands as it's piercing yellow eyes star into you.
Technically N'djamena has not gone that round yet as he goes last

the dead boar counts as difficult terrain to move though

Will Save:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Ayish straightens her shoulders as she prepares and casts a spell.
Casting 'Magic Missile'. So I should definitely hit the beast with 1D4+1 damage this round. Though I may miss the actual character turn, so I leave the rolling to our illustrious DM. *bows*
Vrealk
Vrealk hasn't gone either, as I delayed my action.
Vrealk takes a double move (60') to get closer to the beast; he remains in the shadows or staying directly behind the creature, trying to stay out of it's sight. (I can move at full speed w/o penalty to my Stealth).
stealth 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39
Kelden
Frustrated that his spells have been so ineffective today, Kelden takes a guarded posture Fight Defensively +2AC as he moves closer not a 5' step due to terrain to strike at the beast.
Bastard Sword: to hit 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 includes penalty for fighting defensively
Bastard Sword: damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Vrealk moves up silently behind the Beast, unseen it seems As Kelden Trying to keep his stance defensive lashes out at the Beast, slicing upon flesh.
Celena steps forward smashing her hammer into the beast , her hammer seems to almost glow as it slams into the creature far harder then it should and the beast Roars in pain, fixing its pain filled eyes on the paladin, Ayishs missiles hammer home as well as the best roars
Markhet empowers larrs with a spell as the lion charges and bits into the Beast. The beast however only Has eyes for Celena "Pal..la..din!" it roars in broken common as it slams its horns into celena, followed by a few slashes with his weapon, one that gets though the Gnomes armor 14 hp
As N'Djamerna calls upon the healing power of his god, close minor wounds as it sweeps over the party

I'll continue to maintain a guarded posture fight defensively for +2AC as I move to flank the beast with Vrealk.
You do realize that since the boar is difficult terrain, I can't take 5' steps and, thus open myself to aoo's with my movement?
Bastard Sword: to hit 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 includes flank and fighting defensively
Bastard Sword: damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Kalden I had over looked that last round yes.
Kelden steps forward slicing at the Beast and while unable to hit leaves himself open and the horned monster thrust it's weapon into him 13hp. Celena once more hit the thing with a hammering blow and it roars once more in pain as Ayish once more starts to sing, filling you all with magically induced courage
Larrs Once more tries to maul the thing only to have his bit land will his claws are fended off by the creature. And with a bellow the beast steps toward N'Djamena lowing his head to gore the priest, who manages to dodge the horns but not the two lighting fast weapon strikes 18 hp
Vrealk now unable to flank the beast still moves forward and strikes at it with his dagger and sword. Seemly unable to harm the beast. N'Djamena hurting badly once more calls upon the power of his god.
From the top of the hill you hear a returning howl, it seem the Gnolls are coming.

Ok new round, vrealk with the beast moving you could no longer move into a flanking area
Kelden
Seeker, last round I wanted to move to try and flank with Vrealk which would put me directly below where the beast is at the beginning of this round. Still no flank though.
"Aargh!" Kelden staggers from the sideswipe of the monster. He continues to attack through the pain.
Bastard Sword: to hit 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

A 22 missed?
Vrealk still lashes out with both weapons against the monster.

Nope it hit, it just didn't hurt him. Vrealk is at the cliffs edge, you can move though him but have no where to go. However if ya make a DC 10 climb check I'll allow ya to stand on the bluff
OK, that's a little reassuring, but not much. Obviously don't know what kind of DR he has, but will just remind that my dagger is magical, but not good or silver/cold iron or anything. Question: did my sneak attack still apply for my first round of attacks? Since he didn't know I was there, and all?
N'Djamena
Honeslty I had forgotten about you being unseen, I'll add that. N'Djamena how are you moving and which way? Your in difficult terrain. Anything but a withdraw action will open you up to a Aoo
Oh, I didn't realise that every direction, even away from the boar, was difficult terrain. He won't move, then.
