N'Djamena = 41 [current 41 hp]
Kalden = 32 [current 26 hp]

We need to heal.

I'm not sure how accurate those numbers are as N'Djamena healed us for 26 after the battle.

Male Human Cleric 5

Markhet beat me to it: your numbers are off by 26.

GM

Yep those numbers are not counting the 26

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

And the starting points are off since Vrealk has 45hp fully healed, not 35hp. 35 was a level ago when he didn't have a level of fighter.

Not finding any traps, Vrealk looks to the others. "Well, open or no?"

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish chews nervously upon her bottom lip, but waits for those more knowledgeable to speak up first.

I just checked Kelden's hit points too. He is at 41 not 32
Kelden is all for opening the door.

Male Human Cleric 5

"So mote it be," N'Djamena intones.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

"OK, here me goes!" and Vrealk opens the doors ...

GM

The doors push inward, slowly with much creaking and dust. Beyond the doors lay a large crypt formed of three vaulted alcoves, forming a clover-shaped room centered upon a dais. Atop the dais rests a single massive block of deep black stone, Carvings in each alcove and on the sarcophagus itself depict the terrifying image of a nine legged spider with a gaping maw.

N'djamerna:

You feel both dread and excitement at the very site of the sarcophagus

"Is it just me or does this pretty much scream undead?" Kelden uses his Wand of Shield and preps his scroll of Protection from Evil.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena keeps an eye out as they all head in.

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena stares wide-eyed at the sarcophagus. "There is something of great importance in that coffin, but also of great importance. Markhet -- if you wish to leave, you are free to do so, but I MUST know what is inside!!"

N'Djamena casts Bless and Remove Fear on the party.

I think you meant... something of great evil in that coffin, but also of great importance...

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"............ Do what you must but I believe I would rather just kep watch outside" Celena heads back to the doors and consults her phylactery of faithfullness to see if she is making the right choice.

Assuming this is something that is supposed to happen but I recon a Paladin should probably be a bit weary of what is essentially grave robbing even if it is a bunch of Rovagug worshipers

Actually, I meant "danger" in place of one of the "importance"s. Or maybe it's just doubly important. :-)

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish straightens her posture and steps up to assist her friend N'Djamena in what ever quest has taken him over.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk smiles broadly, cracks his knuckles, and carefully approaches the coffin. He will closely inspect the entire room for traps, taking 20 (for a 31).

GM

Celena waits outside, being a part of disturbing a tomb does not sit right with her, so she takes no part. Vrealk takes his sweet time inspecting the room, but sees no traps, though two of the alcoves are themselves doorways, each sealed.

"Markhet was fairly certain that was going to happen regardless of her feelings," Says the gnome with a sigh, "Markhet will watch and wait and rescue the priest if necessary."

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish steps over to where Markhet sits upon her feline friend, also ready to assist in any way she can.

GM

so whats folks doing?

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena waiting at the door

I was hoping some one else would volunteer to open it, but... "Kelden goes over the the sarcophagus and tries to open it."

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena will gladly open the sarcophagus if Kelden appears reluctant.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Awaiting developments...

Together then.

"Which one do you think will get eaten first?" Markhet asks Ayish as she watches the two men attempt to lift the sarcophagus lid, "Markhet thinks N'Djamena will be the most tempting morsel to any elder evils sealed within because he has so much more tasty flesh visible, whereas Kelden at least keeps his head sensibly covered with a proper head of hair. If they're both eaten Markhet will attribute it to not having proper beards."

GM

The stone slowly is pushed from the sarcophagus, it takes all kelden and N'djamerna have to push it aside. Dust and foul air drift from the now open sarcophagus. Inside, the remains of a gnolls can be seen, still wearing glimmering mail a Periapt upon its forehead and grasping a greataxe in its withered hands. N'djamera however is not drawn to any of these but something calls to him about the scroll case laying by the dead Gnoll

N'djamerena and Kelden:

Give me a DC 20 will save

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish frowns a little at Markhet's banter as her other friends explore the place.

"It's always best to investigate things." She whispers back to her Gnome friend. "We wouldn't ant anything getting up when we didn't know it was there and sneaking up on us later." She points out.

Will save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Male Human Cleric 5

Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17, +4 if it's a fear save

N'Djamena would have totally made that save if he had a beard

Male Human Cleric 5

If N'Djamena needs a beard, maybe Ayish can pretend to be his girlfriend.

GM

He already has a girlfriend if I recall.

N'djamena gets a awful feeling of dread and a cold chill, but seems to suffer no other effect that he can tell.

Any of it magical?

GM

All of it glows with a magical area, the armor, the axe, the Periapt and the scroll case all show as magical.

Kelden reaches in to gather the items so he can identify them.
Armor 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Axe 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
Periapt 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Scroll (Read Magic)

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish winces as Kelden reaches down into the sarcophagus.

GM

The armor is mithral +3 mithral chain, the Large two handed ax with the wicked serrated blades kelden is unsure of, while the Pariapt seems to bestow wisdom +4 wis The scrolls kelden can not tell, its not a normal scroll, it has no writing upon its surface, which seems made of thin gold so smooth it is like a mirror.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish's eyes open a tad wider after a few moments as neither Kelden, nor N'Djamena have immediately exploded.

"Well....that wasn't so bad...." Ayish hesitates to add...

"Well that is good Markhet supposes," the tiny gnome muses, "It's good to not always be right."

Male Human Cleric 5

"The scroll..." N'Djamena mumbles. "That's what we need..."

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk just watches the others check out the sarcophagus. "How do you know that, N'Djamena?"

GM

Pokes everyone with a cattle prod. Welllll..what is we doing?

Waiting for the undead thing to attack us. If it doesn't, I say we leave.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Waiting for the possibly undead thing to make itself some new minions. If such doesn't happen? Yay us, we loot everything and leave. (^_^)

Male Human Cleric 5

"Nethys knows all!" N'Djamena replies as he reaches in to the coffin and grabs the scroll.

GM

Nothing seems to happen as N'Djamena removes the scroll from the coffin.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish opens one eye hesitantly...and slowly takes her fingers out of her ears.

"No ka-boom? Wasn't there supposed to be an earth-shattering ka-boom?" She jokes quietly.

Male Human Cleric 5

"Shall we leave now or keep exploring?" N'Djamena asks as he puts the scroll in his pocket.
