BLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit
Pshhhhhhooooooh. Alright, curse you specific gravity and your unbreakable pull on matter!
Fine. He'll take a 9 and a 32 pistol and their ammo.
Roland, that leaves more 556 ammo for you to have if you like.
I had been waiting on the prisoner thing to be advanced, since we're kinda down here pondering the motorcycle. And, yes, I did a little dance because arc welder are cool as hell, but I had been hoping for something a bit more specific, as in whether or not I have to mud wrestle Gloria for the spare electronics. :p
GM Niles |
Internet was down all day at work, and posting from home before the kids go to bed is nigh impossible. Sorry for the delay.
Gloria Newsom |
I'll take the rest of the frag grenades and the mechanic's jumpsuit if no one else wants to claim them. Are the motorcycle parts for the motorcycle that's there or is it what would remain if we took apart the motorcycle?

Figure out loot soon. I also posted all the Wild Cards stats on the campaign profile page, you can give them items if you want them to have certain things. I also posted a Dramatis Personae link so you guys can keep track of who is who.
Lastly I've made a spreadsheet for community stats (kinda like Kingmaker had kingdom statblocks)
Once, you've accrued enough influence with the Wild Card npcs they give benefits to both the community AND PC's.

Click on Campaign Info at the top of the page. The links on my profile are generally battlemap links

Okay, I haven't been factoring it in- I thought your aid gave me a +1. But I will switch to it for non-combat sections while Gloria putters around.
GM Niles |
@Everyone Did you guys take your advance? I think most of you got one. If so, please post your advance here in the discussion thread.
GM Niles |
Well, everyone might not have gotten one. I haven't kept track of your individual XP. I gave 3+1 earlier (the +1 was for participating in the interlude.)
Sundakan |
I haven't kept track of your individual XP.
That would have been nice to know when the game started.
I have no idea how many XP I have. I'm going to assume exactly 10 XP, and I'm right on the nose for the second advance. I should have the same amount as whoever else did the Interlude, so they can tell me if that's correct.
thegreenteagamer |
Sun just handwaves levels in his games. Probably used to everyone else doing the same, I guess.
Yeah, I'm not keeping track of individual in mine, either, anymore Sun. Since Spencer is now a point behind everyone else, I'm not in the mood to track individuals.
GM Niles |
Well in a game like pathfinder where Levels and CR mean ALOT to the GM and the story they wanna tell, then I understand handwaving xp and leveling up everyone at the same time. In a game like SW, your xp doesn't really matter to the story honestly.
Warrior of the White Wolf |
I mean, they matter roughly to the same extent: it's easier to survive tougher fights when you have more XP. There are less intense differences in between Advances in SW than levels in PF, but they do essentially the same thing for the story, by letting PCs conquer greater threats.
That said I'm fine with tracking my own XP. For anyone else, I think if you've been here since the beginning and did an Interlude you should be at 10 XP exactly, so a second Advance. I'm at 9, and Gloria may be there or a point or two lower, I don't know exactly what she came in with.
Two-Headed-Vulture |
Now that V has the Assassin edge I'm thinking of going for Thief for the flat stealth bonus, and then raising my skills to get Woodsman too. Flat bknuses are best.
OTOH raising agility will allow me to raise stealth and guns the level after.
Decisions, decisions. At least I have another 5xp to decide. As I said, this level was Assassin.

In case you guys are wondering what kind of vibe I'm going for with Wright Town. Here is a historical example
Here is what wikipedia has to say about the topic
I'm an amateur Historian (it was my minor in College) and I find the labor movement (and by extension the use of company towns in the late 1800's) very interesting.
GM Niles |
I did the exact same thing with Falcons Hollow in my other PbP set in the Darkmoon Vale. Eventually the heroes enlisted public support and overthrew the "Boss".

For most pricing go off of GTG's fallout document, its on the campaign info tab. However, Cigars aren't on it so I'll split the difference between the price of a single cigarette and a pack so...5 Caps. The rules for addiction and bonuses are the same as cigarettes
Should I have been rolling Vigor checks every time I lit up? I've been lighting up a cigarette every time we stop somewhere for the night.
I figured Habit meant I was already addicted so I didn't bother to roll anything.
thegreenteagamer |
Not sure how Niles was gonna do it, but the idea I had in mind was if you already had Habit as a hindrance you weren't just physically addicted, you were mentally, and it wasn't going away no matter what you did, whether it was a doctor's visit, fixer, etc.

Okay, so now the Community is up and running. The stats are located up at the top under "Community Stats" the rules I'll be following are in the campaign info tab "Scrapping and Community Building"
Currently the Community is in one hex its labeled on the map "Larger Scale Map" as a pink hexagon. Right now it consists of a few shacks and the beginnings of a farm. Each week you guys can either direct the community to take an action or I'll auto pilot the community into "Gathering Resources"
The rules are very bare bones, and if you see something else somewhere that you like (IE Ultimate Campaign or Kingmaker) I'm more than happy to include it here.
GM Niles |
As far as naming goes...I'm waiting for you guys to have some sort of consensus for now I'll keep calling it "Community"
GM Niles |
Well, I planned on including bonuses to specific actions if a character who is "trained" in that action assisted in the action
Example: Crayon Levy(and Gloria) is a scrapper. If the Community sent a group out to harvest scrap and Crayon(or Gloria) led them, the roll would be at a +2
Example 2: Abdi Johnson is a soldier, if the Community sent a group of militia led by Abdi to patrol a hex, the roll would be at +2
The problem I run into is that most of you aren't really built for non fighting things. I've noticed that a majority of you have devoted most of your skills towards fighting, so I took that to mean you were more interested in adventuring and less towards running a small fiefdom.
GM Niles |
Knowledge Skills would be useful in running a community Skills like
Knowledge (Ecology) would assist in farming or
Knowledge (Engineering) in building or
Knowledge (Tactics) in mass combat
Edges like Scrapper also help. NPCS that are recruitable and convinced to join the community can also assist in making it better!
