Thistle's careful, but exciting search, found no sign of traps about the hidden door. It was one of the boring kind.

Thistletorp Babblebrook |

Well shucks... there aren't any traps. It's just a boring old door. But! There could be traps on the KTHER SIDE of the door. That's so much better!. He claps his hands in glee and bounces from foot to foot. Come on! Let's go see!!

Thistletorp Babblebrook |

But! There's an equally likely chance that it'll be something NOT aborting! And anything new is not boring. Even an empty room is Exciting because it's the first
Time I've seen that empty room!

Jakun Stormhoof |

Jakun grins at Thistle's exuberance, "Patience my little friend. We are in a very dangerous place with hundreds if not thousands of deadly enemies. The Revered Daughter is correct, we must be prudent for we are here to free those enslaved not start a fight we cannot hope to win".

Caitlyn Weissman |

With a slight shrug, Caitlyn points out "The only way you'll know for sure is if you open it. Unless there's something noisy on the other side..."
She walks over to the door, places her ear against it and motions for silence.

Caitlyn Weissman |

Caitlyn glances at Thistletorp and says, "More undead? Almost if they are singing..." She then looks at Gilthanas and asks sadly, "Do you have any idea why there might be musically inclined undead here?"
I suggest we prepare for a possible fight and then open the door.

Samnell |

he sends out his senses looking for undead.

Mariel and Mittens recall many stories of the unquiet dead sobbing, moaning, or otherwise clearly in pain, so many that it was hard to say which sort of menace they might face. Mariel feared a banshee at first, as those elven ghosts possessed a cry that could kill between two heartbeats. But on further consideration, she suspected otherwise. Banshee usually had a more discordant cry. Beyond the door might lay a spirit which would require magic to harm, but likely not one near so deadly.

Jakun Stormhoof |

Jakun will nod, "Perhaps this one will aid us against the foes within we shall have to see. Thistle, go ahead and open the door".

Caitlyn Weissman |

"I can go through first, but perhaps you can share a blessing?" Caitlyn asked Mariel, "Something for luck versus the undead."
Even just resistance would be handy.

Caitlyn Weissman |

Seeing Thistle's hesitation, Caitlyn steels herself, after all it was quite likely something on the other side was about to try and suck the life out of her. With more confidence than she felt, she grinned at the others, opened the door and glanced through, alert for danger.

Thistletorp giggles Yes! Opening doors is fun! Especially if they're locked, or trapped, or there"! I like the doors that are there most of all. Although opening a door that ISN'T there is also fun! We did that once, when we were walking in that place that was upside down... I tried to stand on my head to make things rightside up, but my ears kept getting in the way of my feet...

The door opened with ease, swinging on a hinge just as if it had been plain as day. A skeleton lay sprawled on the floor just past it, and beyond those bones a chamber of empty shelves and crating waited. There a ghostly woman in serviceable leathers lay kneeling, whole body shaking as she sobbed.

Caitlyn Weissman |

Does the ghostly women appear to be elvish?
Quietly to the others, Caitlyn wonders, "What was her story? Why wasn't she buried properly? Should we move the bones into a crate and put it on a shelf?"

Mariel Uth Kaldar |

This spirit must be put to rest. she says and begins to pray in elven Daughter of the Elves, your time here is long past, continue on the River of Souls, in the name of the Valiant Warrior, E'li, seeks you return to him and flee from the Lord of the Undead's power. as platinum light explodes in the area the medallion of faith glowing in soft power.

The light of Mariel's medallion seared the ghostly woman and she howled in pain.
"No more! No more! No more! I am lost!" she cried in elven.

Caitlyn Weissman |

I'm assuming this is a burial chamber, but the woman for whatever reason wasn't interred. If I'm wrong about that, then these actions make no sense :) In any event this might not be what the Spirit needs to pass on.
"Mariel is that the right way?" whispered Caitlyn, surprised by this turn of events.
She darted forwards and grabbed an empty crate and knelt down next to the bones. Calling out to the spirit in Elvish she says, "It's time for you to rest, I would like to help." Indicating her intention to place the bones in the crate she asks, "May I?"

Thistletorp Babblebrook |

Thistletorp bounds over to the ghostly woman and holds out his hand. Hiya! I'm Thistletorp Babblebrook! Pleased to meet ya! Why are you said? You shouldn't be said. Is it because you lost your cabbages? Cabbages are very tricksome things. Things are always wandering off.. getting into other people's pockets, or backpacks, or, storage chests. Once, I found a book on the MOON! I got up there in silver spoon. Now, how did a book get up there, you may wonder. I'll tell you... Things wander. And, people never make sure to keep track of their things so that they don't wander and get lost. Like that book. Being all sad and lonely up there on the Moon. It probably couldn't enjoy being on the moon because it was all alone and sad. Did you get lost? You said you got lost... do you need to find someone or something? We could help you! I am excellent thing-finder! Why...so many things end up in my pockekts that I bet I have it in my pockets right now. Or, we could find what you lost for you. If you lost your way, we can find that too. It's a thing, just like everything else, and peoples' ways sometime wander, too.
He smiles innocently at the undead elf.

Jakun Stormhoof |

Jakun shrugs at Mariel's attempt to destroy it, "It seems Revered Daughter that this spirit's will is strong. Perhaps we can use it..."
He then steps inside and observes how the spirit reacts to the rest of the group.

It looks more like it used to be some kind of storeroom. The shelves and such are wood, not nice stone like you'd have in a classy mausoleum.

Caitlyn Weissman |

Probably won't work, Mariel may have to blast it again. Well let's see.
Cautiously Caitlyn tries talking to the spirit in elvish, "You say you are lost, this is the Sla Mori. I would help if only I knew how."

"Leave me! None can help! I came to this place to take my fill and the earth heaved. The door shut and could not be opened. I prayed and no gods answered! All is lost!" the woman answered back between sobs.

Thistletorp Babblebrook |

Don't be sad! Be happy! If we open the door.. will that help? We could let you free and you can go exploring! Wouldn't that be nice!?

Caitlyn Weissman |

"The gods have returned." Calitlyn replied softly, filled with pity for this lost soul. To die alone and in such circumstances... Glancing at Mariel she added, "Perhaps the reverend Daughter can guide you into their care?"

"There are no gods!" the ghostly woman said. "None! Even the dark gods are lost!"

Jakun Stormhoof |

"Fortunately or unfortunately. This is simply not true. The pain you felt stemmed from the Revered Daughters symbol of Paladine. Unless you wish to taste it again, tel us how to help you..."

Caitlyn Weissman |

Caitlyn points out to Thistletorp, "It's a bit odd having a secret entrance to a storeroom, I wonder if there's another secret door leading out? Perhaps that's what the ghost is on about. Lets look?"
Caitlyn starts to search for a possible secret door or anything else of interest.
