Again, Tchisk maneuvers in too close to purple, giving his gunners the best shot possible while staying out of the enemy firing arcs.
We can fire at any arc. I suggest front.

GM Bigboon, I'm trying to stay out of their firing arcs. I think I have the orientation right.
That position puts you in purple's rear arc. But it doesn't really matter this round as both fighters executed a flyby.

GM bigboom |

Yep, that position puts you out of their arcs. Interesting though that everyone attempted and succeeded on flybys. I foresee some destruction this round!

So you don't have to wait for me next round:
Round 6

Tchisk wins initiative! The red fighter backs off a bit and comes about trying to keep the Pegasus within sight of its weapons....
Aazanar, Rez, and Bubbles have already declared and rolled their actions for round 6. Everyone else may declare your actions and take your rolls!
Also, with the enemy now down to a single ship, I'm implementing a 'two critical thresholds rule' where if the enemy is damaged two thresholds more than you, I'll call for the end of combat in your favor - primarily to save a bit of time considering our PBP format.

Flenn switches over to an Engineering console. "Lemme fix the power core up a bit, then we will get some more of those shields up."

The android jumps so to the task of the Science Officer.
And he locks onto the red remaining fighter's power core!
Computer: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

GM bigboom |

Heya Mec-01, just pointing this out in case you weren't aware...
The rules allow more than one engineer per round. Therefore, although Flenn took an engineering action, if you wish, you can also take an engineering action, such as diverting power to patch your shields.
What is not allowed is for multiple engineers to take the same action in a single round - so you both cannot perform divert actions. The exception is the patch action whereby more than one engineer can perform that same action in a single round.
If you were unaware of this and would prefer to change your action to an engineering action, I'm fine with this. Or if you were already aware of this and would like to stick to the science officer action, that's fine as well.
I just wanted to double-check!

![]() |

Hello GM, thank you for your explanation. And you were right: I didn't know we could be more than one on the engineering task. That's only my second starships fight anyway. In this case, I prefer to divert power to patch our shields.

You return to Absalom station without further incident and report to Historia-7. She has already assembled a team of of operatives who eagerly downloads the data you recovered and without hesitation they begin working at decoding it.
Historia-7 says, “The mission is a success, and you are to be commended. All of you deserve some time to rest before your likely return to a more typical Society assignment.” Historia-7 speaks, momentarily pausing after making her declaration. The android’s eyes stare off past her data visor, as though she were contemplating some additional information. “Interesting… This data you’ve uncovered is… very… interesting. For now, I’ll ask you to depart. I need to summon Zigvigix of the Exo-Guardians. It appears one of his recent offers now aligns with what this data may require us to do. How… unfortunate.” The briefing is cut unusually short but it is clear she is pleased with your performance, if not the content of the data you retrieved...

A day later, every one of you receives a digital invitation to his 24th birthday party, described as an all-inclusive trip to a pleasure yacht in high orbit over Verces. The invitation includes a note stating, “Join me for an encore performance of our glorious victory!”
Again, congrats guys!!! You now have an unreliable billionaire drug-addicted playboy friend!!! If the mood strikes ya, feel free to throw up any concluding RP posts!

The second enemy fighter goes dark. Tchisk sees their chance and pushes the engines to make their escape. "Those two were good. I am better." He takes the time to pat himself on the back.
Tchisk looks at the invite and laughs at Rez's comment. "Only too right."
