Zhri |
Zri movers near te doors with her flamethrower prepared.
- Ready!
Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
Raia looks up from her comm unit with a frustrated look on her face. After a moment she replies "Yes, er, yes, I can open that door. But I'm having a bit of trouble pin pointing that signal we received in orbit, just cant seem to figure it out"
She then goes back to fiddling with her comm unit huffing and sighing "c'mon...where are you coming from"
DMRhino |
After some heroic computer work Raia is able to locate the signal. It's emanating from below the hanger bay. Accessible via an elevator located on the west side of the hangar bay. Glancing out of the control room windows the party can see the doors to the elevator up on the catwalk level, resting closed.
A thick plume of steam rolls out from the freshly opened doors. After a moment, the steam evaporates. As party members approach the opening, it reveals a marked transition into an entirely different area—a section of an entirely different starship. Where the hangar bay had straight lines and smooth plastic walls, this elevator has exposed cords and wires in varying dark shades such as charcoal and umber.
Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
Raia follows Zri, heading out of the Northern door to the control room and over towards the elevator, glancing down at Iseph and the goblins as she passes.
Iesph...I have full control of the station remotely. The signal is comming from below us. If those vermin don't know anything more, then I suppose we should release them as promised, Says Raia telepathically to Iseph whilst gesuring to wards the door and goblins.
Twilik's Pregen Iseph |
Iseph nods, then, remembering Raia is a floor above them, responds, Acknowledged. Iseph pulls out their survival knife, and keeping the gun trained on the goblins, moves behind them to cut the cords. "You have told the truth so we are honoring our word," they state. "You may leave, but make certain you leave quickly and without any deceptions."
Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
As Raia is proceeding towards the Elevator, she looks around the Hangar and spots the remains of the Archer on the Northern Wall and climbs back down to the Hangar floor as the Goblins scurry away.
"Livewire's ship." Iseph pulls out their semi-auto pistol as they hear even more goblin songs echoing from the rear of the ship. "The ysoki claimed there were audio logs on her ship detailing the moment of the Archer's crash. I would be interested to hear them."
I think we should check the Archer out before we move on....there might be some information onboard about this 'spirit' the goblins were talking about.
She then walks towards the remains of the Archer looking for a way into the crashed ship.
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 20
DMRhino |
Shattered pieces of the Archer cover the hangar bay’s floor. Due to the debris, there are two options to gain entry. The 1st option is to clear the debris at the cockpit’s aft end (DC 15 Strength) The second option requires removing the cockpit’s viewing ports. (DC 15 Engineering check)
DC 15 Strength or Engineering

Raia looks around the cockpit and inspects the debris around the aft door
hmmm, looks a bit tought...I wonder if I can get in through the cockpit windows
She then proceeds around to the front of the cockpit and carefully attempts to remove the windows.
Engineering, take 10: 10 + 11 = 21
DMRhino |
Raia easily removes the windows and slips into the cockpit.
Once inside the cockpit, the party accesses several audio logs from the Archer’s doomed crew (see Player Handout #1 on the Google Doc). A jammed locker is not too hard to break into and contains several personal effects of the Archer’s crew including a leather tool harness embroidered with the name “Livewire.” Treat the tools and devices strapped to the harness as a computer hacking kit. In addition, anyone attempting to repair a computer with the Engineering skill receives a +2 bonus to the check while using these tool.
Twilik's Pregen Iseph |
"Livewire's tools. She will be grateful to know that we have located them." Iseph listens calmly to the audio logs while searching the cockpit for anything else of note, carefully avoiding the exposed wires.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
"Presumably these are the crew mates Livewire warned us about. The first must be her friend Bago. The others sound just as unpleasant as she made them out to be."
Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
"Indeed....no honour amongst thieves it would appear" comments Raia as she straps on livewire's tool harness, adding to the impressive array of devices and gadgets visibile on her belth and clothing.
"These might come in handy until we can get them back to livewire, and I hope that the captain was not one of the two the goblins said survived the crash....sounds like a thoroughly distasteful fellow."
Raia then climbs carefully back out of the cockpit and heads towards the elevator.
"shall we?"
DMRhino |
Having already commanded the computer to deactivate the elevator's electronic seal and open the door, the elevator stands open.
Again, the elevator marks a transition into an entirely different area—a section of an entirely different starship. Where the hangar bay had straight lines and smooth plastic walls, this elevator has exposed cords and wires in varying dark shades such as charcoal and umber.
As the group enters the elevator, a singsong voice greets the party in an alien tongue. Soft lights wash over a smooth, wet surface at the elevator’s southern wall. Scores of holographic glyphs appear in three spiraling patterns foreign to the Pact Worlds.
The computer does not seem to control this panel in the elevator.
Keskodai the Mysticman |
"Might I take a look at this panel" Keskodai asks Raia "I may not be as knowledgeable of these things as you but maybe I can shed some insight on how it works. Plus it's just so fascinating."

"hmmm, hmmm, ah yes, very good, very good... I haven't the faintest idea about how this works," he shrugs and moves aside.
Twilik's Pregen Iseph |
"Very interesting. I wonder what these glyphs symbolize." Iseph curiously observes the glyphs and listens to the alien voice, searching their memories for anything that might be familiar.

Raia looks over Zhri's shoulder as he describes the buttons, she places a hand over her eyes and speaks quietly in Lashuntan
"taal verstaan" Casting Comprehend Languages :-)
She then assists Zhri to re-examine the glyphs.
DMRhino |
Luckily Zhri smashes the right buttons, because what the Envoy was going to hit were completely wrong. Raia considers casting a spell to read the glyphs, but before she can, the elevator doors close and the lift rockets down toward Shantyspire’s base. The lift swiftly decelerates and comes to a smooth stop before the doors suddenly open into a rectangular storage room that shares the same design as the hangar bay above. A mesh grating just beyond the western elevator door overlooks stacked crates below. An adjacent set of stairs descends to the floor. A second set of stairs continues to a separate, stone chamber to the east.
The lights are on in this room, but there's also a warm flickering light coming from the South East.
Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
Raia draws her pistol and carefully proceeds into the room and looks around for any more goblins that may be lurking.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Twilik's Pregen Iseph |
Iseph, weapon drawn, carefully follows the others into the room. "I am curious as to the source of this light." They step down into the room proper and tries to get a better vantage point without any possible hostiles hearing them.

Raia, in control of the computer realizes, once per round, as a standard action, they can access the hacked mainframe and can activate or deactivate one of the following tasks.
Lights out : The PCs can turn the lights out in area B4, casting the area in total darkness.
Strobe: The PCs can set the lights in area B4 to rapidly alternate between the on and off setting (dazzling)
Up, Up and Away:The PCs can momentarily turn off the gravity in a section of the room. (eliminates cover of anyone floating up.)
You realize too that you can play audio files through the station speakers.
Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
Hearing the two heads argue over the crew of the archer Raia realises (quite to her surprise) that this Creature is the surviving 'two' crew members that the goblins were talking about.
Raia stands up on the crates and speaks to the creature "You must be Borgor and Bago....Livewire sent us to find you after the crash"
Ready and action to turn off the gravity under its feet if it attacks
Keskodai the Mysticman |
Keskodai will holster his gun and lean on his staff.
"Ahhh yes Borgor and Bago, Livewire will be ever so pleased to know you are alive," he sighs
Twilik's Pregen Iseph |
Iseph watches the argument break out between the two heads and quickly moves closer, staying in cover. This certainly explains some of the language in their audio logs. They observe the rest of the team getting into position and holding, and Iseph chooses to do the same, drawing their pistol and letting Raia and Keskodai handle the diplomacy.
Move 25 feet and draw weapon.
Zhri |
Zri takes his flamethrower.
"Hey friend! We dont wanna any problems ... we are all friends, make it easy.
DMRhino |
Bago, yells at Borgor, "You scum! I hate being near you!", Bago slaps Borgor... and tries to poke him in the eyes.
Borgor exclaims, "Bah... who you meddling little people?!", and pulls an advanced semi-auto pistol. At which point Raia deactivates the gravity, lifting him up and out of the cover he was behind. (this will be in effect until his turn again... at which point he'll be in cover.)

Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
Raia drops back behind the crates and yells out to the Ettin
"Bago, you need to help us stop your brother....he tried to kill the Archer's crew and he wants to enslave you"
She then punches a few commands into her comm unit and Borgor's voice plays over the station audio system
Borgor's voice via Station Audio: “I feel them slipping away. I think they’re planning a mutiny. I’ve been able to delay them—I promised after this next big score, they can all go their separate ways. I have no intention of sharing the spoils of this heist. I’m going to kill them all, one by one. What to do with my dear brother Bago? It’s just not a simple matter of murder with him. No, I’m gonna enslave his puny mind."
Twilik's Pregen Iseph |
Iseph is about to move forward to attack when Borgor threatens them, but makes a sudden stop when he hears Borgor's audio recording echo throughout the room. Hopefully that escalates their already severe animosity towards each other.
Iseph also holds position.
Kludde has a Pre-gen |
Navasi holds her breath while she holds position, her semi-auto pistol in hand, ready to fire if the creature make a hostile advance.

Sorry, seeing Hamilton, being tired from that, then being sick, have mostly kept me away from here...
Zhri spreads fire all over everything, except for the ettin... some boxes are smoldering.
As the message broadcasts over the intercom you hear Bago scream in anger and continue to strike at and kick Borgor...
Borgor howls and let's loose a shot at Zhri...

Raia - Pregen for MorphiusLink |
Hearing the shots fired, Raia quickly steadies herself before tapping her comm unit and deactivating the gravity under her feet for a moment.
As soon as the gravity is released, Raia pushes herself hard towards the roof and pulls herself onto the top of the boxes, drawing her thunderstrike sonic pistol.
Zhri |
Zri leaves the flamethrower and takes her rifle.

Navasi fires... a small crate behind Borforbago explodes into bits.
Trying to sneak into a better position Iseph quietly maneuvers, but he can see the Borgor head look right at him. Iseph is still able to get a good shot off. Pegging Borgor in the thigh.
Keskodai commands the Ettin to drop his weapon will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 ... but Borgor shakes off the command.
Raia utilizes her control of the station to great advantage and deftly repositions.
Zhri boldly attempt to demoralize the beast while pulling out his rifle, but the ettin seems to have no reaction.
