Seeing an audience develop, with at least on fluent Halfling speaker, Kalimac reads a little louder for all to hear.
Liothonae silently finds a quiet spot, and does not take part in the epic listening.

Continuing in a more conversational volume, Kalimac reads: "Bilba oli väga rikas ja väga omapärane ja oli ime Maakond kuuekümne aasta jooksul, ajast tema tähelepanuväärne kadumine ja ootamatu tagasi."
...and I'll stop there, before I exceed Fair Use. You all get the point.

A Fistful of Liothonae Spoilers
Hrithik listens to part of the first chapter of Kalimac's tale, then bows to Kalimac. He pops an orb from his necklace and consumes it before seeking a specific path.
Hrithik seeks out Liothonae's secret hiding spot and looks the question: may I join you here?
Hrithik turns to the waiter and says (in Skald) ...
While waiting for their food to arrive, Hrithik pulls Cheliax out of his pack at sets it onto the table. "I've extracted all the formulae I can comprehend in this so far. Would you like to spend some time reading of the idealism of my home, and know me better thereby?"
Perception (which way did she go?): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
And Preview says ... probably manages to follow her.

"If you wish." She says quietly. "Although I have been told it is bad manners to read at the table, especially in a restaurant."
Bluff: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15She is not sulking or sullen, that is not the unhappiness she is projecting, although perhaps it could be mistaken as such for someone more intelligent than wise. She is upset, yes, and she is trying not to be upset. But there is something deeper, almost angry, and that is the root of her unhappiness.

She is sitting in a tree, just outside of camp, perched comfortably on a branch, a book open before her. She's reading in the dark, by the faint light of the moon filtering through the leaves. It's hard to make out what book she holds, but it's probably the elven novel she's been reading for the past week for a few minutes each evening by the fire. She does not look down at him, maybe she hasn't noticed?

"Cheater." She mumbles under her breath, possibly with a smidgeon of endearment, but also a bit of annoyance.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18Since he can clearly follow her, unless she develops wings, and possibly even then, she takes just enough care to leave the camp without waking anyone else. She travels through the undergrowth for a few minutes, until she reaches an Oak tree, or a suitable older tree if no oak is available where there is a bit of a clearing underneath, due to the age of the tree having eliminated other saplings. She does not look back to make sure he follows, she does not aid him in any way through the difficult terrain.

Caravan Day 17: Fourth Night After Brinewall
"What would a formal Introduction between yourself and Zaiobe entail, Mr. Ranbhir?"
Hrithik looks thoughful. "In harpy ... I have not the faintest idea. But since Ms. Zaiobe is as unusual and unorthodox a harpy as I've ever heard of, I don't think harpy custom need be binding in the matter."
Hrithik nods to Melinda. "In Imperial custom, and the custom of most of the Courts of the Inner Sea, you would be introduced as the distinguished Ms. Melinda Sorn, late of Sandpoint, student of the monastery of Blue Stones, acclaimed performer, victrix of the three challenges of Reta Bigbad."
Hrithik smiles at Melinda, "I don't know enough of Ms. Zaiobe's background to know if she wishes to be referred to as "of Brinewall" or "of another place", nor do I know if she would consider holding the Statuette of the Dark Wings to be an honor or not. You can honor her by the terms chosen better than I can, I have little doubt."
Hrithik bows lightly. "In my own case, I might be introduced as the inimitable Mr. Hrithik Ranbhir, late of Riverhill, journeyman of the Ars Alchemicka, spotter of the Order of the Lidless, sage scholar and precision pyrotechnician. But so long as you name us fully and signify us sincerely with true accolades and honors, the particulars can be changed. We aren't attending an Inner Sea Court, so no one will fault us for failure to use a specific paradigm of etiquette in titles."
Hrithik bows much more deeply. "Thank you for being willing to entertain the idea of doing this favor, Ms. Melinda."

With a cheeky grin she adds "lidé." And small pause, "Téměř stejně špatný jako trpaslíci." And longer pause.
She thinks for a moment. "I don't know if I like the spell," thinking back. "You understanding the things I said to myself would have probably scared you off, before."
Orc: "Humans." ... "Almost as bad as dwarves."

Hrithik laughs, heartened by her endearment, delighted by her annoyance. "As if me using alchemical assistance was somehow not part of the deal?" he calls when they are well clear of the camp.
She does not look back to make sure he follows, she does not aid him in any way through the difficult terrain.
Hrithik's leathers get their appropriate workout, and his modest Survival skills an arduous test. Nonetheless, he perseveres and follows her to the hidden clearing. Taking the majesty of it in, he whispers, "Beautiful."

Maybe she hasn't noticed ... riiiiight, and maybe Hrunndalf's going to fight without any armor at all from now on.
Hrithik carefully climbs the tree (taking 10), and either sits on the branch or remains perched along the trunk as his sense of sturdiness indicates (taking 10 on Survival = DC 15). "If you wish. Although I have been told it is bad manners to read at the table, especially in a restaurant."
Hrithik shakes his head, and says in Elven, "Not now. Later. Up the mountain trail perhaps, or in an inn. Another way of knowing me. But here, now, is another way of knowing me still."
Hrithik looks about the tavern, then deep into Liothonae's eyes. "Why this place?"

Caravan Day 17
"Alright. I don't know if that's how she's want to do things, but I'll let her know. Anything else?"
Hrithik shrugs happily. "If she has another protocol she wishes to use, religious or otherwise, she is more than welcome to insist on it, provided it is respectful to all parties."
Hrithik looks deeply across Melinda's face. "I apologize for the hurt caused by comparing you to the teen Queen of Cheliax. There are royal depths of resolve, willpower, and finding the most mercy in a bad situation that was not shared with everyone from my memory, it seems. If the only memory you retain is a poor one, I apologize for associating it with you."
| Melinda Sorn |
She looks away for a brief second, and then back, her deeply green eyes drawing him in, "So, I said that I'd liked you first... in Thassilion." The blush getting a few shades deeper when she admits this.

1st night out of Kopparberget, Camp site traps
As camp is being set up, Myri finds Shalelu (& Sandru & Lio if around) and discusses things briefly. She then takes a good amount of time laying things out and getting the traps, tripwires and alarms ready to be armed before consulting with Shalelu again, making adjustments, then returning to camp and calling for the attention of everyone present (and making note of anyone who is not present). "Um. We have a new security arrangement while in camp these are your safe zones out and back in" (pointing them out). "Please make sure our four legged friends are also aware of the danger areas. If you forget, please wake me up. I would prefer a little discomfort to someone getting hurt, okay? Um, are there any questions?"
if there are none, and with Shalelu's and Sandru's okay, she will arm the traps (after making sure everyone has been accounted for and the wolves are aware of the danger/safe areas)

Caravan Day 22: One Day Out of Kopparberget
Sandru smiles broadly. "Why, I'd quite like that. I feel as if we've barely talked this whole trip."
Hrithik smiles back at the Caravan Master. "Well, the last real opportunity we might have had, there was this riveting discussion of the joys of feral, animalistic sex between sinewy, muscular men and passionate, hirsute bears. Didn't leave much space to discuss politics or the weather."
Diplomacy (as in seduction): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Hrithik continues, clearly wanting to get "business" done today. "You had mentioned the idea of me moving in with Mr. Tollin at one point, sir. Now that there is room in both the men's and the women's wagons, could I take Kelda's place in the Lab and let her choose which of the open wagons she wished to bed down in?"

Myri looks around for a place to comfortably have a conversation, just in case this decides to stretch out. Finding somewhere the two of them can sit (in relatively public) privacy (maybe the front of a wagon, if they're just about to get moving), "Um. First, I want to make sure you understand that I...in no way did I intend to hurt you in any way, shape or form, 'kay?" She looks him directly in the eyes, possibly a tinge of concern in her face. One hand rests on his arm or knee (whichever is closer).

Her hand moves to brush the medallion at his belt, which he had recently taken to displaying openly. as a brief recap: it is of a rose, growing between bloodstained cobblestones. the rose and blood is stained reddish "Remember, my Dad's decided to celebrate my coming into there life on Jestercap. Alaric is utterly lost. "Let's have that talk now then?"

She pauses, realizing how simplistic that sounds, how thoughtless. "I mean, I have the same basic needs that everyone has, but I don't have a great deal of future plans... yet."

Alaric is utterly lost. "Let's have that talk now then?"
She looks at him seriously. "I think I'd better be um, more direct in this instance...I tend to get distracted, sorry, and I don't want to take that chance." She sighs, leaning back for an instant. "What you wear denotes someone who is willing to travel the world to foment and help organize uprisings. As I said, I thought it was...appropriate." She continues to study his face while they speak. "Most of the people who wear this are from Cheliax...or Galt."

Alaric very purposefully removes the token from his belt and puts it very deep in his backpack. In a measured tone: "Now, I understand that the gift came from a good place. I started wearing it because the bad blood between us has been put aside, and I thought that since you were kind enough to give it, I should display it. However..." He rolls up his sleeves, displaying the ugly scars on his wrists. "I have been a part of several revolutions. It's very nearly compulsive. I get somewhere new, and invariably they're doing something that has to stop. These I got after being nailed to a tree. My stance on slavery wasn't met with widespread agreement. Anyway, the thing of it is, Myriana, I am a revolutionary. Heretic. Anarchist. And while I don't hide it, or anything else for that matter, very well, I don't think that owning a badge declaring it is conducive to my long term survival."
