About Melinda Sorn

Standing in the shadows, Mel is a young woman whose body has not quite caught up to her newly grown height. Her dark hair and pale skin mark her as one who shuns the daylight, a true goth child, which both warms her mother's heart and worries her. When she steps into the light, shading her eyes from the glare, the dark hair is lit with green and a gentle breeze pushes hair back from ears that just aren't quite human. She moves with a grace that belies her gangly form, an economy of movement both natural and trained since early childhood.

Mel is a child of the House of Blue Stones. Her training in the monastery has developed a strong mind and body, although a wildness in her spirit has kept her from following her mother's path of the ascetic. Instead her parents' assumed that her natural inclination for study would lead her to be a sage. However, her mother's orc blood runs deep and true. A rage, tightly controlled and not completely understood, has been growing and has started to erupt spontaneously. Small fires, easily controlled, but not naturally created.

Now when not in the company of her family, or old friends that are like family, she sees a worry in the eyes of the good people of Sandpoint. They are worried about her, worried that she may be more like her mother than previously believed.

Hero Worship (Ameiko): Everyone in town seems to admire Ameiko and Shalelu—they’re heroes, after all, and played key roles in the recent troubles that plagued Sandpoint. You, though, take this admiration to a new level—you practically worship one of these two. This could be because you saw one of them perform a particularly impressive act of bravery at some point in the past, or maybe they just happened to give you the exact right words of encouragement or a kind gift at some point a few years ago when you were young and impressionable. Empathic Link The master has an empathic link with his familiar to a 1 mile distance. The master can communicate emphatically with the familiar, but cannot see through its eyes. Because of the link's limited nature, only general emotions can be shared. The master has the same connection to an item or place that his familiar does.
Speak with Master (ex) Familiar and master can communicate verbally as if they were using a common language. Other creatures do not understand the communication without magical help.
