Once again you're able to dispatch the ghouls with ease, a few seconds pass and it seems like no more undead will join the fight.

He pets Cliff and then sends him down the tunnel behind him.

Norm runs over and starts to fake examine Ansgar.

Cliff and Norm examine the tunnel to the east, where they find a small tunnel with several pickaxes tossed into a corner, one of the pickaxes looks particularly well made.

Meanwhile, Ansgar advances down the western tunnel to find an intersection.

Zelinda grins at Ansgar, figuring that the gruff cleric has more going on than he wished to show. So, instead of prodding him any further, the half-elf gypsy follows in his steps, shield and sword ready for whatever comes their way.

"I don't want to sound like I'm scared here, but are you sure I'll be safe there? I mean, I can't wear the same amount of armour as you can, the metal interfers with my spells and hinders my movement. And I kind of bruise easy. Some of the hits you've taken would have cut me in half!

Norm takes a deep breath

"But if you see a great advantage in it, I'd be willing to try it out."

Ansgar waits for everyone to be nearby then leads the way down the hall.

Norm notices the pickaxe is clearly of superior craftsmanship, it could easily be used as a weapon or sold. He also notices the wall and floor near the pickaxes are covered in yellowish mold.

Zelinda interrupts the conversation between Ansgar and Normornigan. "I'm not sure that this is such a great idea, but if it's something that you really want to do, then I'll be able to help protect you."

I can only really apply my Active Defense bonus to one person at a time, but eventually I can apply a bonus to all adjacent allies.

The part-time alchemist bends over to have a closer look at the mold, trying to see if she's ever come across it before.

I don't have Nature, but hopefully one of these will work.

"I've a number of torches that we can use." Ansgar pulls a torch out and lights it, using it to burn away the mold. Once the mold is fully burnt away, Ansgar sets the torch down under the area where the mold was to let it burn out "Probably best to keep the heat near it as long as possible to make sure it doesn't grow back."

"Unless there's something else here to investigate, I suggest continue down the tunnel." Ansgar will lead the way when everyone is ready.

Foxglove Manor

After burning the mold and progressing through the tunnel, you end up in an intersection. The room to the west is a foul-smelling cavern heaped in bones scarred by the scrapping of teeth, the room seems to be otherwise empty.

To the west, you see a cathedral-like cavern with a roof arching thirty feet overhead and dropping into a sloshing pool of foamy seawater fifty feet below. A steep stone ledge winds down to these surging depths, its slope glistening with moisture and mold. A stone door stands in the northwestern wall about halfway down the slope.

Four undead goblin creatures inhabit this space, they immediately turn to attack you.

As Caeldren, Norm and Cliff approach the undead goblins, they feel an overwhelming stench.

Round 2

Norm, Cliff and Caeldren strike at the goblins, but are unable to get any solid hits. Despite being dead, these goblins are just as agile as live ones, and undeath seems to have made their skins thicker.

The goblin down the chute climbs up, flanking cliff, then tries to bite the tiger.

Ansgar swings against a goblin, his fighting ability impaired by the unnatural stench, his sword only gets a glancing blow that doesn't seem to affect the goblin at all.

Meanwhile, the other goblin lashes out at Cliff, but can't hit the tiger.

Heroism actually would made Ansgar hit that attack, I'll compute the damage

If Cliff's AC is 22 then he'd be hit twice in the last round, rolling the second damage

And he'd need another DC 15 Fort vs paralysis

Round 3
Cliff's claws finish tearing through one of the goblins. He then turns and claws another goblin. Caeldren finishes off another goblin with his sword. Ansgar tries a swing but is unable to connect against his small target.

The last remaining goblin keeps attacking Cliff, and manages to land another scratch.
