Aéron Skáh |

As the next round of drinks come I look up to Ameiko again, "Did ya say ... Undaground Assassins? That's ... impressive 'n' worrying at the same time."
Sense Motive : 1d20 ⇒ 18 AH So close!
"Maybe they could teach me a few things, I'm good at climbin' 'n' jumping. But could get better."
Once Ameiko leaves I lean in to my table companions and whisper, "There's a bounty goin' up soon for dirty work, if ya're interested? 5 Gold Coins per pair of Goblin ears, bounties from Daviren."

Aéron Skáh |

Realising that I had just cut the dwarfess off in conversation I look to her, "Not normally, but he 'n' ma mother seemed ta be close and built up quite the reward. So, ya're a smith, did ya make that armour ya're wearing? Looks uncomfortable ... then again, ma shirt is uncomfortable too."

Aéron Skáh |

I let out a loud, deep, rumbling laugh like This
"That's what Zara said too when he gave me this shirt! I'm still not used ta wearing it though, I can't move as easy. I'll keep it on though." I let out another laugh and once my laughing has died down I take a gulp of my drink, followed by a mouthful of stew.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil perks up, "5 gold per ear? Think of all the materials I could buy! What did we do with the corpses yesterday?"

![]() |

Killing goblins is fine by me but lopping off their ears is a little tasteless. Is there some other way we can claim the bounty without having to mutilate dead bodies? Eryda dismisses Aeron's inquiry about her armor when she hears about the distasteful task he presented.

Aéron Skáh |

I shake my head, "% Gold Coins, per PAIR of ears. We might be able ta take the whole Goblin, but he jus' wants the ears. I don't mind doin' it, but its a little sick."

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil shrugs, "Goblins are vermin. It's not much different than a bounty on gopher-tails... except goblins fight back."

Aéron Skáh |

I smile at my companions, "I've no need for money now, but it may be useful later on." I grin at them slightly and turn my head to look over at Ameiko, "'scuse me, do ya know where there are anymore of those Goblins around?"

Draken Shar Black |

"Thank you, I base my relationship with each creature, unique to that creature. It may create a slight bias towards that race, but that can easily be changed." Draken says to Tarinhil in common, since we are including everyone.
"I can slice them off with my tail." Draken says as his tail takes on the sharpness of a blade and it swishes up and down then reverts to the normal stinger.

MiniGM |

Dragon
I think all are back now...
The man that you all rescued during the raid wanders into the inn.
Ah there you all are. I was hoping you would be here. Aldern Foxglove. He stands tall in well kempt clothes. I thank you again for saving me and my friend. It looks like he is going to be alright. [/b]
He wanders to the bar and haughtily orders a round for everyone and then pays the bill for the food as well.
First allow me to give you this. He tosses a pouch of coin onto the table. 60gp And I do hope that if you ever come to Magnimar you will look me up, you always have a place with me. But as for now. I would be honored if you would come boar hunting with me. Those of you without horses. No fear I will get you all one from the stable. My gift. What do you say?
realistically this should be the next morning, but meh, I didnt want to make you guys RP another whole day, when you wanted nothing to do.

Aéron Skáh |

I look to Draken amazed and mouth open slightly. Luckily I had swallowed before he had spoken, so there was no food on display, "Ya can speak our tongue too?! So ya have understood everything we've said? What other tongues do ya know?" I look at the dragons tail take on a slightly different shape and then revert back to normal in astonishment.
I am suddenly ripped from my thoughts when Aldern walks in and begins to speak to us, I look to him and nod, "Good ta know he's fine." I look to the bag that has just been tossed onto the table and hear it thud with a metal chink, but don't lean in to have a look, the yellowy gold sheen coming through the pouches opening gives more than enough away. I only look at the bag for a few seconds before turning my attention back to Aldern, "What do ya do in Magnimar 'n' how'd we find ya? I'm up for a hunt, means I get ta try Konabos out in a dangerous situation, see if he's courageous. When 'n' where?"

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil says excitedly, "I've never been boar hunting... but I'm always willing to try something new!". He then frowns for a moment, cocks his head and adds, "As long as your offer of horses includes ponies or riding dogs?"

Aéron Skáh |

I also laugh at the thought of Tarinhil on a dog, after a few seconds I turn my attention back to Aldern, "Konabos is ma new horse. Daviren cgave him ta me as a gift for all ma mother done for him. Ya may have seen me riding about on him earlier?"

Fernus Stonecall |

"I've never been hunting beefore, so I'll not be of much use to you all. However I'd like to see how one plays out and how well you all fair."
"I have heard of riding dogs before, but I must say I'd rather ride a pony than a dog."
Fernus looks at the small pouch in front of them.
I wonder why this man travels and lives, he apparently has enough money for it. Doesn't he need to uphold his family values or something?

![]() |

Eryda glances up at the noble who seemed to make 'dwarves' sound like an offhanded slight. Something about dwarves?

Draken Shar Black |

As Foxglove talks to the group, Draken causally goes and climbs up Aeron again, and perches on his shoulder. He will stay there until any action happens or offered a gift. Then he whispers to Aeron, "I can speak many languages, you shall see in the weeks to come how far my knowledge is."

MiniGM |

Aeron the dragon's tongue flickers and tickles your ear. Will save 5 or burst out giggling
-------
Later in the day everyone finds themselves riding their new animals on the mile and half ride to the Tickwood forest.
So you must tell me where are you all from, how long have you been goblin slayers? And you sir, You must tell me about your fighting style. How you wield that incredible hammer is amazing. You must teach me.

Aéron Skáh |

Will Save : 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
As the dragons tongue starts to dance on my tongue lightly I move my head slightly as it tickles, but I manage to keep myself from bursting out into a girly fit of giggles.
Once we are all at the stables I show everyone Konabos, "This' Konabos, ain't he magnificent?" While riding along I turn to look at Eldern, "Not much ta say, ya just lift it and bring it down on ya'r foes. I like ta swing at their legs too, but that can take ya with it too, if ya're not strong enough to stand ya'r ground." For such a big man on such a big horse, I seem to be able to ride with some elegance and obvious practice.

MiniGM |

Just pure muscle? There must be some technique to it? Perhaps you could teach my men? As you could tell by the raid, they were not exactly the heroes of the hour.
I encourage you all to interact with him, this is a chance to continue to build charcters, if you prefer to jump to the hunting just put that in a post :)

Aéron Skáh |

I look a little shocked, "I'm not the best person for teaching how ta fight, but I guess I could help them train a bit. See if they can hit me, if they can then we get on ta dealin' damage too. I'm better at dodging than I look, so hitting me might be quite hard." I let out a deep laugh.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil nods at his new mount, "A fine dog. Excellent. I prefer them as mounts, they tend to be very, very loyal, once you bond with them. Also, I'm told their noses are useful on hunts."
He looks up to the big man's horse and whistles, "That seems to be a fine beast, Aéron. A little big for me, but perfect for you...."
He chuckles at Aéron's comments, "It sounds like those are lessons that they would remember, at the very least, if you start striking back."

Tiazara Tyrneamitore |

Thank you for the horse they killed mine in the raid. And burned my wagon. Beastly little buggers. And I have never really encountered them before. I have been traveling with the Varrisans the last 150 or so years.
He talks softly to his horse about how since its such a good horse is going to make sure it has plenty of apples.

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus pets his pony on the nose and the sides of its head, while stroking his manes he fishes out a a bright red apple and cuts it in half.
"I bet you like these as well don't you?" He whispers to his pony as holds out a hand with an apple half on it.
After that he mounts his horse and sits a bit uncomfortably in the saddle, but balanced.
Fernus looks on at Aldern answering the questions.
A merchant family huh? He must have brothers or something that reside in Magnimar shouldn't he?
"Do you have any siblings back in Magnimar mister Foxglove? I'd imagine it takes a lot of work to run a mercantile business."

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil's ears perk up a little at Foxglove's comment, Anything that catches his eye? I wonder if his eye can be captured by a few coins... "Do you come this way often, then, Mr. Foxglove? Would it be possible for us to commission supplies from Magnamar -- assuming we mean to stay around Sandpoint for a time?"

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil smiles, "Most kind of you, Master Foxglove. I would think that we would all feel very grateful for such an arrangement.... though, in case I was too excited to remember to do so earlier, I should say I am already most grateful for this fine mount."

MiniGM |

Aldern waves his hand as if it was nothing.
The day continues and after a bit Aldern's two men ride up. He separates and speaks with them then rides back.
Well that is exciting. It seems there are two boars nearby, one larger one smaller. I propose that me and my men take on the smaller one and you all take on the larger one. Whoever kills theirs first is the winner.
He glances around and says Perfect. You all set up over there, and we will set up over there. I will have Karl flush them both out.
Obviously he had already decided that this was happening. Everyone has a moment to prepare as they wish and then the boars burst out of the bush.
It stops about 20 feet from the party. It appears to be a young dire boar. dont worry it is weakened I am not that mean!
1d20 ⇒ 1
Zara 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 acts in surprise
Tarin 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Aeron 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Unalaq 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Eryda 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Fernus 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
HEROES GO FIRST Everyone is about 20 feet away, no map for this one

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus casts Grease beneath the boar so it might be easier to hit for the others.
(DC16 Reflex Save)
After he performs the small gesture of casting grease he reaches for his crossbow.

Aéron Skáh |

I stay mounted on Konabos and when I see the Boar coming towards us, I charge towards it, my hammer hanging low and I try to hit the boar in the head (Almost as if playing Polo)
"Crusher" Attack : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
"Crusher" Damage : 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 = 10

MiniGM |

The boar squeals as the crusher slams into its flank, missing the head but perhaps a few ribs snap, want to make your horse attack?
Also note that if you intend to attack from horseback and use both hands then it takes a DC 5 ride check, which aeron does not need to roll, it is too simple to even fail on a 1

Aéron Skáh |

I figured as I was charging the horse couldn't attack. Even if it could, I wouldn't know what its stats are.

Aéron Skáh |

As I hit the Boar in the side, Konabos attempts to bite at the creature too.
Bite Attack : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
It is a Heavy Combat Trained Horse I get.
