Fernus Stonecall |

Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
So this is a rewrite of my former post.
"Oh wonderful! Isn't that a pseudodragon? I've read stories about them in scriptures along the road to Sandpoint. They are especially common at Korvosa I believe."
Fernus leans on his elbows and looks on in awe at the little dragon.
Then looks up puzzled, "Though I think I've read they communicate telepathically, how come that this one resorts to speech?"

Tiazara Tyrneamitore |

Smiles behind his mask. Dragons are pillars of creation. They are paragons of what they represent. They exist for every element and concept. Whos to say that some don't have deeper powers they don't always show or that he indicates the dragon infront of him. Isn't another variant of his kind or perhaps a grester dragon in disguise. Who are we to question their ways and meddle in their affairs?

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus is looking at the dragon again, especially when it snorts as a continuation of Zara's statement.
"I'm not questioning his ways or anything like that, just intrigued that's all. I'm now wondering why a pseudodragon would want to speak, why a big dragon would impersonate a smaller version of his kind or how many different kinds of pseudodragons there are.
I reckon they could tell great stories about such things really."

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus stretches out his hand as well, touching with his palm the palm of the dragon.
Fernus's hands are small, though compared to the dragon's they are quite big.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Knowledge (Arcana): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Tarinhil says, "Could be that it's just playing with us, I've heard that they can be pretty mischevious."
He smiles at the small creature.

![]() |

Eryda addresses the little Halfing. It dosn't hurt to carry a small implement to help when something gets too close to you, uh... What was your name? I on't believe we've been properly introduced! What are your names, fine warriors?

Tiazara Tyrneamitore |

Why wouldn't it? I once read an account of a Dragon who traveled the world he lived on in the guise of a magic sword. He changed hands often and did it solely to amuse himself. Why should any other dragon be any different? He shakes his head looking at the dragon. Eledenser the Wyrm of Blades was him name I believe.

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus places his hand, palm up, on top of the claw of the dragon.
"The name is Fernus, my dear dwarven lady, collector of lore and story-teller along Varisia."
He says as his eyes switch from the dragon to Eryda.

Aéron Skáh |

I remain still again as the dragon climbs down my arm and walks over to Fernus, I watch it all the while in a small sense of fascination. Then I turn my gaze back to Tarinhil waiting for an answer to my question.
I reply to the Dwarves question, "Aéron, Burn-Rider." But I am still paying attention to Tarinhil waiting for my answer, not meaning to be rude but probably coming across very blunt and short answered.

Draken Shar Black |

"Well that is interesting, though I like language and have studied it very well, I like the dialects and how the words spill over my tongue, almost, no just less than eggs. My favorite food! My name is Draken Shar Black, and some of you have showed that you are worthy of my presence. I hope that if you group up, that you can take their example to heart!" with that pronouncement he jumps up flaps his wings a few times and lands on Aeron's shoulder once more.

Aéron Skáh |

I turn my gaze from Tarinhil and look to the Dragon with my mouth open slightly "...Draken?" I am obviously confused, but at the same time fascinated. I let the talking Dragon onto my shoulder again, "Ya seem to like it there." I smile at the Dragon. "Eggs huh? Any type of egg, Fried, Boiled, Scrambled? I could ask for a second Fried Egg with ma breakfast, if ya want it?" "I'm talkin' ta a Dragon! Shaman would never have seen this!"

Lady. Eryda snorts derisively. Just Eryda will do, Fernus. No need for such pleasantries with me. My, that's a first. Lady... She chuckles to herself, as though lost in a personal joke. A foreign, raspy voice snaps her out of daydreaming. She looks around only to realize it was the liza-dragon that was speaking. Well I'll be hammered. An articulate dragonling! She regards the now-perched dragonling with curiosity and inquires. Pray tell, what is this worth measured by? And turning to address the group I do have some spare time, what with no projects to work on at the moment. I was hoping to smelt some off the equipment from the goblins yesterday to start working on an axe but I supoose I wouldn't mind hanging around. If y'all will have me, of course.

Unalaq |

"Greetings Draken. I will be happy to share eggs with you. The tongue that you and the others were speaking? Giant, wasn't it? While I do not know their speech, I have come to Sandpoint because of a vision. My clan was destroyed by oath-breakers and evil among giant-kind. With his dying words our spirit-talker set me on a path to this very town and swore me to protect it from others of their ilk. Tell me. Do any of you that speak the tongue know more of them?"

Fernus Stonecall |

Ok you guys. I am shutting down the kitchen for a bit. Fernus you better give Draken a shiny coin or you will have terrible luck. I don't think he is amused that you have not given him one yet.
"Oh was that why he was holding up his claw?"
He searches his backpack for a suitable shiny coin and manages to find a suitable one.
He stretches out his hand with the silver coin between his fingers, the head and tails side of it are smoothly polished and the side is covered with a fine sparkling dust.
"So sorry Draken, I guess I still have a lot to learn about pseudodragons. This is a special coin from Janderhoff that my father treated in his workshop. I hope you like it."
Fernus pays his tab at the bar and packs his things to get going for that day.
"Are you guys ready to go as well?"

Draken Shar Black |

"Boiled is best, and all eggs that have met my palate have been very welcome. Aeron another egg would be welcome." Draken says in response to Aeron.
"Well if you have been observing the group you would know, though I will answer five of your 'yes or no' questions until you have been deemed worthy. And if you ask a question that isn't a yes or no, I may or not answer it and it goes against your total for the day." Draken says in response to Eryda.
"Yes... Who?" He responds to Unalaq after the first question, then the second.
"Now Fermus... or is it Ferus... no Fernux... emmm... Fernus, yes that is right, Ooooooh Shiney." The dragon's eyes get a little bigger, then see above (MiniGM)... :P

Aéron Skáh |

When my second breakfast comes over on my plate there is bacon, sausages, baked beans, tomatoes, waffles, mushrooms, a slice of bread, a fried egg and a hard boiled egg. I take the hard boiled egg and de-shell it before holding it out to the dragon, "Here ya go, enjoy." I quietly eat my breakfast whilst everyone is talking, finally wiping my plate clean with my bread I gather all of the plates up and take them over to the bar, placing them down quietly. "Here ya go Ameiko." I then reach into my coin pouch and pull out some coins, placing 4 of the silver coins down beside Ameiko's hand, "One for each of ma breakfasts, one for the Dragon's egg 'n' the final one for any nuisance made last night. Thanks for the food 'n' room, see ya tonight."
With that I smile, nod and turn back to the group. I pick up my hammer and strap it over my back, "So ... where first?"

Unalaq |

"Very well Draken. Have you seen any evil giants within a day's walk of Sandpoint?"
Unalaq will plan on finding Ven Vinder and would tag along with anyone going o see someone from whom he could learn more about the countryside surrounding Sandpoint.

Draken Shar Black |

The dragon, rides Aeron's shoulder to Ameiko. He winks at Ameiko, and continues to ride the shoulder out the inn when he goes that way.
"Evil Giants, not to my knowledge, I don't think I have even seen any giants, well Aeron might be close to one but he is the good kind. Plus the last three weeks I have been in town." Draken responds to Unalaq.

Aéron Skáh |

I am starting to get used to Draken being on my shoulder, so when I walk I don't move my shoulders too much, as as to not disturb him. As I pick up my hammer I turn my head slightly to Draken, "Watch out, gonna put this on ma back over ma shoulder. Don't want ya gettin' hit." Once Draken is safely away from the path of the hammer I attack it to my back and then let the dragon get more comfortable.
Once we are all outside I turn to them and ask again, "So ... where first? We all have places we wanna go, who gets ta go theirs first?" I look slightly to Draken, "Is there anywhere ya want ta go?"

Eryda follows behind the group, still unsure of exactly where they were going. She didn't like to wander, peferring to plan out her day properly. A sharp smell of blood passed her as they stepped out into the streets. Eryda discerned the source quickly and hurried forward to help the man. She lays her hands on the man's face and channels a brief burst of divinity, stabilizing and staunching his bloodflow.

Unalaq |

Unalaq draws his weapon and darts to the entrance to the alley.
Perception 1d20 ⇒ 14

![]() |

Oh, just realized there isn't an underline format.
Eryda inspects the man, making sure he isn't hurting anywhere else.
Heal check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Are you well? Indicate where else you are hurting.
If he does not need medical attention, I will draw my weapon and wait for Fernus and Tarin to move up. Guarding the rear.

MiniGM |

I am Maver Kesk, a jeweler. I think I just have a cut...but they have my jewels.
Eryda is seems he does just have a cut.
[ooc[ If you intend to follow them, make me a Perception OR a survival. I will only take the first one each person rolls, so make your choice...Perception will be harder[/ooc]

Fernus Stonecall |

Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 4I guess I'm totally getting lost
"Thieves that made their way out with valuables. How exciting!"
He looks at the man apolegitacilly. "So sorry I tend to get carried away with a possible good story."
He sees the others except him, Tarinhil and Eryda, storm off after the thieves. He wastes no time in hurrying after them.
"Wait for me, I wanna see what happens!"

![]() |

Eryda nods at the man and sees Fernus run after the 2 warriors. She addresses Maver. Wait inthe inn. Tell Ameiko I sent you and let her have a look at your cut. In the meantime, we'll see what we can do about getting your jewels back. Do you have an idea or description of who robbed you? Eryda waves Tarin onwards and looks around the alley entrance.
Perception: Suspicious characters lurking along the path Unalaq and Aeron is taking.: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Aéron Skáh |

Hearing about the Jewel thieves I turn my head to speak to Draken, "Ya might wanna get on ta Zara's shoulder for a bit, things might get dangerous." Once Draken is safely off of me I draw my hammer and move up with Unulaq. I start to look at the floor for any signs of a scuffle and where the thieves may have run off to.
Survival : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
But I am not used to being surrounded by buildings and I lose sight of any marks that could have been helpful.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil chuckles, "Is that to help Zara or the Dragon?", and runs off as well. Glad I left my pack back in my room or I'd never ever catch them...

![]() |

Only till I get some sort of description, which I'm guessing I have? Perhaps I should have asked more clearly. Your call.

![]() |

Eryda senses that she will not get any useful information out of him and decides to follow the group. She forcefully turns the man towards the inn, gives him a small push, and heads down the alley.
Survival: Following tracks made by group/thieves: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
She stares at the ground for a while, shrugs, and walks on.

![]() |

Can I assume that I have rejoined the group since you've used 'them'?

![]() |

Meh.
Eryda follows the trail to a street. She signals to the group to stay low as she scours the immediate vicinity for more signs. Nothing. She motions for the group to look around and stay on alert while she inches out into street, looking left-right-and-then-upwards.
Perception: Enemy ambush: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

![]() |

Backing into the alley again, Eryda tells the group that the coast seems to be clear. We should start searching the area. They should be around here...

Aéron Skáh |

I look to both buildings to the side of us, then at the dwarfess, "Maybe we should split inta 2 groups 'n' each check out these buildin's? See if they've gone inta one of them?"

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus pipes up at Aéron's suggestion.
"Are you sure that is a good idea? We could find them faster, but in some stories splitting up is a bad thing to do."
He looks at the street and the buildings with interest.
Do any of these buildings look out of shape or something? somewhere thieves would hide?
"Besides I believe there was always a type of adventurer that died when they split up. Can't quite remember what it was."
