Eleazar slowly puts down the dagger he had hidden along with his other weapons. "I am putting my weapons on the floor like you asked. I had nothing to do with this incident. I just want to finish this lovely meal that Ameiko made."

Nic's spell goes off without interruption, causing all in it's area to become irresistibly exhausted and fall immediately to sleep. Wow!

Saves:
Ameiko: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Eleazar remains sitting down and continues to eat. "Well done you probably saved the lives of those guards. Its a shame that Ameiko and the cook fell asleep too. Doesn't seem like the proper way to thank them for this meal..

Posting now as I might be AFK for a bit this morning.

Looking slightly forlorn at what has transpired, Nic shakes his head, looking at Ameiko, the cook, and lastly Kerak. He seems to make a conscious choice not to look at Narvolo. Sometimes the magic it is as cumbersome as can be the hammer, ja, but it seemed wiser to wield it here rather than the doom bringer, da. Also pointedly ignoring the elderly noble, he tells the guardsmen, The spell will only cause the sleep, a minute or two. Please be the easier with Narvolo, he will rouse in quick time if roughed. No gavver need fear for the moment. The others, ja, we will see to them and their safe arousing. We would want to see no more blood shed for the mistaking of words for actions, ja.

It seemed better to risk them than hit the guards and have them mistake it as an attack. Now we just need to get Ameiko safely up and at it, then try and convince her to help smooth out the ruffled feathers. We need a good group diplomacy effort here I think. I wonder what her father was fussing about when all this started. I think we probably missed something.

Narvolo snores in a deep slumber, mumbling in his sleep about "a hamma" and "smash". Nice move Nic. Narvolo won't even understand what you did, so he won't be mad.

Male Human Evoker Level 3 (HP 17/17 | AC:16 | T:12 | FF:14 CMB: 2 | CMD:14 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+3 | Will:+4 | Init:+4 | Perc: +7 | Speed 30')

Nic will still regret the decision, turning on a friend, even if it was decided it was to save everyone. In the future he will probably be very helpful to Narvolo for handing him over to the Gavvers' justice, seeking a way to make things right.

Hemlock makes a quick assessment of what just happened, sheathes his blade, and walks over to Nicolae. "That was pretty quick thinkin there. I didn't know what to expect from you all but I think I'm getting a picture of what happened now. Unfortunately for the big guy, there are laws against loose cannons firing off wherever they please." He shakes Nic's hand, "Thanks for the assistance. It was certainly much smoother thanks to your efforts."

The guards carefully shackle Narvolo and strip him of his weapons as the sheriff gets statements from everyone. Afterword he looks to you all, "Y'all enjoy the rest of your meals now," and hauls Narvolo off to the garrison.

This is all assuming everyone told the truth. If someone wishes to tell a different story then let me know.

Outside you can hear Lonjiku arguing with Hemlock for not arresting all of you as they trail off. Ameiko walks over to the bar and pours herself a drink. Aldern, the only other person who didn't flee, seems somewhat excited by it all, a bit giddy.

Male Human Evoker Level 3 (HP 17/17 | AC:16 | T:12 | FF:14 CMB: 2 | CMD:14 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+3 | Will:+4 | Init:+4 | Perc: +7 | Speed 30')

Nic asks Sheriff Hemlock if he may hold on to Narvolo's hammer until he is freed from custody. I owe him for saving my life before, neh. "While maybe not entirely true, I do owe him for this, and I do have my life, so, a little white is not too bad, alright, da." Nic will spend some downtime if possible polishing up the hammer, maybe he can create a little metal bluing polish to give it a real "doom" enhancing look to it. Craft Alchemy +7 Nic also needs to replenish his reagents if there is a place to do so.

Nic will go over to Ameiko after the guardsmen leave. Rani Ameiko, my lady, I am sorry for that our group has disturbed your place, and you speaking with your dadro, your father. If there is anything we can do to repair this harm, to remove this shame, we will do so. You are too fine a gaja for troubles to be having.

Nic seems to steer clear of Aldern, allowing him the opportunity to pester the others with his questions. "The hahtmushi can talk to Kerak, wonder the joys of magical sleep, ja.

Hemlock looks you in the eye with a seriousness meant not to be overlooked. "I don't think so."

Ameiko takes a drink and then responds, "If that old man wouldn't have barged in here making ridiculous demands this would have never happened. Still, the extremity was uncalled for. It's no matter though, my father has disowned me, something I feel he's been eager to do for quite some time. As for your friend, there may be some hope for him. My father will push the matter but is leaving town soon and wont likely be here long enough to see things carried out. The sheriff's Shoanti himself, he may sympathize. I'm not saying yur friend will get off scot free, the sheriff's a just man and upholds the law, just that the factors may be right for it to be forgiven after some time.

Male Human

Eleazar finishes his and gets up from the table walking towards Ameiko. "Many thanks for that delightful meal. Please forgive our friend for the trouble he has caused. His heart is often in the right place, his head on the other hand is a different story.

Male Kobold (HP 13/15 | AC:20 | T:15 | FF:17 | CMB: 1 | CMD:13 | Fort:+3 | Ref:+3 | Will:+1 | Init:+4 | Perc: +4 | Speed 30')

Sorry for my delay, everyone. Just got back from attending my first Con, so... that was an experience. Thankfully, we've got someone who knows how to keep a level head. (Nic) ...s'not nearly as much fun, though...

"Frankly, 'meiko, I'm thrilled he's not calling you family anymore. The old man is the hide of a purple worm's ugly end." Kus-Kus pipes up from his meal, apparently so calm among the utter madness around him that he hasn't even bothered to stop eating. "It's his fault for busting in here to begin with. I don't get why he's such a tightwad about you and Tsuto."

Then again, you bigger races make such big deals about parenting and stuff. Our tribe just cared about who made it furthest, and you two have proven that much...

Again, Rani, you have my apologies and well thoughts, da. It is the way of parents, I think, that to love they seem to hurt too Nic says, moving back from Ameiko. Looking to the others, Perhaps we should retire for the evening, ja, and let Lady Ameiko have some time with her thoughts, da. We have disturbed the quiet enough for today, yeh.

Nodding towards Kerak, Nic continues, If someone would be the good enough, let us move our friend to Narvolo's room, let him to be sleeping off my spell there, neh.

Speaking to Aldern, Sir Foxglove, there is never a time too dull with us, ja. I am sorry your dinner was to be so interrupted. The boar was very tasty, and to you a very gracious host I think. Good evening.

As you all retire for the evening Ameiko and the cook clean up. The inn is remarkably quiet, but when you awake in the morning its almost as if nothing ever happened.

Kus-Kus seems to be the first one up in the morning, a habit since hatching he's never been able to work out; early to rise saves kobold lives!

Trudging downstairs, he looks around, seeing what there is to munch, with little success. Under normal circumstances, he would've banged on the innkeeper's room and demanded why there was no food, but given this was Ameiko's place, he opted against it.

He instead decided to head for the fireplace and curl up next to it, keeping himself warm. He'd have to visit the jail later, see about busting Narvolo out...

Nic greets everyone, still somewhat disheartened over the previous nights events. I for one would like for it if I can take a meal over to Narvolo, to express my apologies for this turn of events. We need to know what is to happens to him, and to use too, ja.

His fringes perk up a bit at the noise in the kitchen. Curious, he leans around Nic and Kerak to the kitchen, trying to get a better listen on the activity in there...

After some time Ameiko brings you all out a plate and sits down to eat with you herself. She addresses you all when she speaks.

"Well guys, while things got out of hand last night, I appreciate the good intentions. Nic, that was quick thinking with the sleep spell. It probably saved lives as well as a great deal of damage to my Dragon. Between that and your bravery during the goblin raid, I feel a debt to you, and honestly I just kinda like having you all around. You are all welcome to stay here free of charge any time your in Sandpoint."

This offer includes meals but not alcohol

Graciously thanking Ameiko, attempting to deflect the praise for an action he wants to forget, Nic speaks up. Lady Ameiko, thank you for the gracious offer, da. It is most appreciated. However, we must be doing something to earn our keep, yeh, to prove to the peoples we are worthy of such rewards, ja. Eleazar has been checking around, the gavver he asked us to keep ears open for another thing, but if you are knowing of anything it is that we can do for Sandpoint, gladly to be saying and we will help out, ja.

Looking to the others, Nic asks, Are you for agreeing, yeh? Meals and lodgings deserve some support, ja? Thoughts on what to do, or on the gavver's request, our helping the father with his matter, neh? Maybe hunting down more of the goblins in the area, ja?

"Cleaning out a few goblins would be my pleasure. I say let's be about it!" Kerak says, suddenly aware that he is only half-dressed. "Well, perhaps after breakfast."

"Are you nuts!?" Kus-Kus replied in shock, sitting up with his fringes at full mast. "Like hell I'm staying here free! You all can dull your senses and take advantage of generosity. I'm paying. I don't take handouts, and I don't accept gifts. "

Kus-Kus pointed a little clawed finger into the table, tapping it in. "Yeah, let's clear out the goblins. They've only got an advantage in numbers, a home terrain, hiding, bases, familiarity with the environment and a few other odds and ends. But sure! Let's go slay them! Would you even know where to start?"

Male Human

"Goblin clearing sounds like a good idea, maybe we can speak to the Sheriff when we go visit Narvolo. Maybe he knows something. Of course after breakfast.

Male Human Evoker Level 3 (HP 17/17 | AC:16 | T:12 | FF:14 CMB: 2 | CMD:14 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+3 | Will:+4 | Init:+4 | Perc: +7 | Speed 30')

I think it would be good to find out more about the missing bones, neh. The goblins seem to be a good place to start with that. I agree the Sheriff may have an idea of where to start, and we do need to check on Narvolo. If the sheriff cannot assist us, maybe there is someone in town with more local hunting experience than the little drake, someone who knows were the type of goblins that attacked Sandpoint could be found, da.

"If we need to appeal to his ego, maybe that would drive Kus-Kus to help."

As you all contemplate what to do next, a frantic woman bursts through the door sobbing. She runs over to your table clutching a baby in one arm and clinging to a boy with the other. "Your, your the goblin slayers of Sandpoint. I'm Amele Barett and I need you help. My son Aeren saw a goblin light a cat on fire during the raid and he hasn't been the same since. Every night he cries in terror which sends our dog Petal into a barking fit. When I or my husband investigate he always claims theres a goblin in his closet. My husbands checks the closet several times and never found anything. It's been getting more and more frustrating and last night Alergast threatened to make Aeren sleep in the woodshed if he could learn to man up and sleep through the night without telling stories."

The woman pauses and begins to break down again. "Last night Alergast didn't go to Aeren when he cried out. This morning we woke to Petal yelp as our son again begain to scream, but they soon turned shrill." She grabs her sons arms and thrusts them out for you to see, which are covered in fresh goblin bites.

"When Alergast burst into the room he found a goblin perched on my sons chest. Petal was dead with a knife shoved in his ear and the goblin was frantically trying to chew Aerlen's arm off.My husband attacked the little wretch and drove him back into the closet where it clambered into a hole it had hidden under a fur." The woman appears quite sincere as she pleads to you. "He started tearing up the floor and I ran for help. Please, please help us!"

Kus-Kus continues to munch, raising his brow at the sudden entrance by the woman and her kids, but seeming generally disinterested. That is, until she showed off the bite marks on the boy's arm. Kus-Kus stood up from his seat onto the chair, leaning over the table to get a better look before snarling.

"Sneaky little--! Wait, he's trying to go after it? By himself!? Oh for- show me where, we've gotta move now!" Kus-Kus ordered, leaping up and over the table and making immediately for the door.
