Kus-Kus |

Kus-Kus rocked his chair back and forth a little as he pondered, tapping a claw to the table and scratched at his scaly cap. "...that's not entirely true." he mused, before turning around in his seat and peering over the back.
"If you wanna take some action, the goblins have a few big tribes around these parts. I wouldn't recommend it, but you could always storm the places and see what they know. Admittedly, that won't be much, but..."

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

But it would be better than say doing nothing, ja. How far to away is the closest tribe? Would we be able to go there, do some damages, take a prisoner or more, and be back to Sandpoint in a day? To not leave the town all the way defenseless for the too long, yeh?
Nic is more muttering out loud, than proposing a real first strike. He has a few things he'd like to do first, supplies to replenish if given the time.

Kus-Kus |

"In a day? Uh, no. In fact, an emphatic no. Just getting there would be a challenge. Goblins are stupid, but sly; ambushes are something they like to do. Granted, not well, but it takes time to get around them. Even if we caught some, I doubt they'd know anything; like I said, goblins are stupid."
Kus-Kus grimaced as he sat up higher in his seat. "If you want definitive answers, the best bet would be to chase down each tribe. It could be done, the tribes aren't exactly hidden... but if you take the fight to them, you'd best be ready to finish it."

Eleazar Wheelock |

I don't think we should go goblin hunting just yet. The sheriff wanted us to keep a local presence. If we left now the city would be virtually defenseless if another attack occurred. I think we should leave the scouting to Shaelu and wait for the sheriff to return before making any decisions like that. But I do think that we need to go on the offensive at some point.

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Nic stretches a little bit now that everyone has agreed on a plan of action, or in this case, a waiting action. As we seem to be in agreement, that the peoples need us, but not yet, I will now see to picking up a few items I am to be needing for my crafts, ja. I will stop at a few shops and meet back here at the dinner times.
Nic is looking to pick up the following from around town. By now he should be familiar enough to locate the items if available without too much trouble.
Spell Reagents he is interested in stocking:
4 units of Brimstone or Sulphur at 5sp/unit for 2gp total (Acid Splash)
10 units of Darkwood at 2gp/unit for 20gp total (Mage Armor)
9 units of Quicksilver at 1gp/unit for 9gp total (Sleep/Charm Person)
3 units of Saltpeter at 1gp/unit for 3gp total (Fire)
12 units of Urea at 5sp/unit for 6gp total (Cold)
1 flask of Acid at 10gp total
1 flask of Alchemist's Fire at 20gp total
Shopping trip total cost 70gp
I will await GM approval for the items on the list before adding to my sheet. Do we truly still have 350gp and 2 potions in party stores?

After most of the day has passed Shalelu winds up making her way to the Rusty Dragon for a meal before she heads out. She can answer any questions you have on the local goblin tribes. I'm going to cut to the next scene now, but I'll allow questions to be asked of Shalelu over in discussion until the end of the day.

jimibones83 |

As the evening grows late Shalelu thanks you for your company and help but plans to get some rest before she heads out into the wild. When you wake in the morning she has already departed.
Today, for the first time, Ameiko is nowhere to be found. The cook still begin to prepare a meal around 9am, but he is the only one present aside from other customers. As you sit and converse you are approached by an elderly halfling woman, you recognize her as the maid here at the Dragon. She seems quite worried and would like to speak to you all in private.

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Nic addresses the woman, offering her a seat at the table, himself taking one from an adjacent table and turning it towards the group. Please Bibi, have a seat, ja. Tell us what is to be bothering you so.

jimibones83 |

"Please, not here. Follow me." She takes you all into the kitchen to finish the conversation.
"I haven't been able to find Ameiko all day. I knocked on her door this morning thinking she overslept but there was no answer. Against my better judgement I decided to peek in and make sure she was ok, but no one was there. I found this note crumpled up near the bed."
Its originally written in Minkaian, but Bethana has translated it into common on the opposite side
"Tsuto was something of a scandal when he was born. Neither of his parents possess elven blood yet he is a half elf. It was obvious that Lonjiku wasn't the biological father but Atsuii never revealed the truth of who it was. Lonjiku kept her as a wife but sent Tsuto off to the Turandarok Academy to be raised outside of the Kaijitsu family. Ameiko found out she had an older brother when she was 10 and began visiting him, just to keep him company or bring him food. After a few years they got into an bad argument and Tsuto slapped her. She never told me what the argument was about but whatever it was, it sent Ameiko away from Sandpoint for a year. She returned to attend her mothers funeral, where there was a confrontation between Lonjiku and Tsuto. Tsuto blamed his father for pushing Atsuii off of a cliff. Lonjiku broke his jaw with his cane. Tsuto Cursed him and left Sandpoint. Ameiko tried to re-establish contact but was never able to do so."
Bethana is worried that Tsuto is up to no good. She's already been to see the sheriff but he has departed for Magnimar.

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Looking to the others, Nic asks Do you be thinking we should to visit the Glassworks, to be seeing if anyone there has heard anything, or has seen anything, of either Rani Ameiko or this the moosh Tsuto? Nodding to Kerak and Kus-Kus, You know where this is to be located, ja? You could lead the way if we decide to be going, neh? I can be ready to go in but a few moments, da.

Eleazar Wheelock |

Eleazar reads the not and starts pondering. Maybe that was why he was going off at us for helping protect the city.
Eleazar turns to Bethana,Tsuto might know something but is being overly cautious. He seems a bitter but can't really blame him though with his "father" sending him off like that. He might be onto something though because that might explain why Lonjiku went off at us the other day. Even if Tsuto is up to something, Ameiko should be fine. Seems like She is the only person that cares about him. either way we will look into this matter. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Lemona Engel |

"This Lonjiku gave you trouble the other day? You did not tell me this."
Lemona frowns.
"I must speak with this man"

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Nic looks up at this, his personal shame scarcely hidden as he speaks. Actually, he was to have a few words to share about the "civilians" what interfered in the town's defense during the goblin attack, ja. One of our group returned offense to these remarks. He voiced such vigorously, striking the man with a heavy hammer to be accentuating the point. Our man he was captured, or rather I captured him for this act, not knowing what was to happen next. He was jailed for the offense, neh, with a sentence of banishment from Sandpoint at Lonjiku's insistence. He seems not to be one for the polite conversation this chavi, not even with his family, neh. The town it does seem to bend it's knee to his wills. I would not speak to him until we at first know what Ameiko is safe and to be hearing what she has to say on this, da.

Kus-Kus |

Sorry for being absent for all this, folks. Been having some personal problems. They may persist, but I will try to keep up.
Kus-Kus comes out of his room yawning, little rows of fangs bared as he trudged downstairs. Apparently, he overslept.
"Gruh... sorry, stayed up late on watch last night on the roof. What'd I miss?" Kus-Kus looks around, before quirking his brow; something was off. "Hey, where's 'meiko? She never sleeps in."

jimibones83 |

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Nic takes a moment, watching the light reflecting off the glassworks, and casts Mage Armor adding 5 units of Darkwood to the spell to increase the duration to 2 hours.
I agree, da. It would be most likely to be the office and entrance for visitors to be using that door. But caution is remaining the byword I thinks.[/] As the group moves out, Nic will waiver towards the last ranks, to give the warriors room. Under his breath he mutters, [b]I am wondering, do you think Ameiko could put in the good word, get me deal maybe ordering a few tinkering items from the place?
I updated stats for the change

Lemona Engel |

"Let us make our way inside we do no one any favors by idling."

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Spell cast and awaiting the warriors approaching the door, Nic takes a Double Move Action over to the side of and then along the building, hoping the vantage will allow him to peer into the windows as the group closes on their destination, the door. Circuitous route up and along the outside of A8 and A9

Eleazar Wheelock |

Eleazar will take a double move action west and will try to check if he can har anything unusual

Eleazar Wheelock |

Get ready I am going to try to unlock this door. When every one is ready Eleazar will attempt to unlock the door.

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Nic will move up next to Eleazar, ready to open the door on the warrior's say so. You give to me the word, I will pull the door open and stand to the side, ja.
If the door opens inward, Nic will push the door open and then pull back out of the way.

jimibones83 |

Kus-Kus |

Kus-Kus impatiently taps his foot waiting for everyone to get to business, before looking at the townsfolk gawking their way. Snarling, he walks over to them, before baring his fangs and claw at them. "Get lost! We're paying the old dotard a visit! If you're looking for a demonstration...!"
He roared his best, channeling his inner dragon blood and snarling, hoping to frighten off the bystanders.
Intimidate: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

jimibones83 |

The onlookers all laugh.
Onlooker 1 "I wonder if he knows about the 6' of toilet paper stuck to his boot."
"Awwe, why so fussy there wittle guy? Are ya hungry? Want a treat?" He tosses up a piece of jerky, laughing as it lands on the kobold's unwavering forehead.
"First he's caught stealing meat, then breaking into a shop, yet he constantly claims he's no thief," another giggles as he mutters out.
Just realized I had forgotten to stick Lemona on the map

Nicolae "Nic" Plamen |

Nic moves to the wall opposite the outer door, checks around the corner, then holds the door for Kus-Kus. Peeking inside the factory he asks, in a half-whisper, Are those doors being locked Eleazar?

jimibones83 |

As you look back to Kus-Kus you find him missing. You recall the bitter look on his face after his failed intimidation attempt and figure he probably changed his mind about helping out. Kus-Kus has been having some personal problems and has had to drop. I really enjoyed his character and I'm hoping he can get things cleared up and come back, but I'm not counting on it. We can go ahead and move on.
