Ameiko smiles at Eagle, "So I guess subtlety isn't your thing?" However, her composure is completely lost when Julen falls to the floor as she lets out a laugh that turned any head that wasn't already looking. A little embarrassed, she adds,"You know, if you weren't a hero I would make you pay for that." She says it a loudly in hopes to save face for both her and Julen.

Xai watches, dumbfounded, as Julen somehow manages to wreck the table and chair. This is the same man who outboxed me before? she wonders as she offers him a hand. What a strange day this has been...
"So... free room and breakfast... pretty swell deal, considering all we had to do was pummel a few goblins. I like this Ameiko. She seems nice." She says this knowing well that Ameiko is nearby. "Unfortunately, it seems my new companions are in a race to impress her and gain her affections. Curious people, these." She smiles quietly and finds herself a seat at the nearest empty table.

If subtlety was my thing, love, he says as she turns her attention elsewhere, I doubt I would have gotten in on the goblin action to begin with! He speaks to his newly acquainted motley, So, we start off fighting each other, then out of no where we find some pretty new goblins to smash and, boom! Turns out we make a pretty great team. I don't know what your stances are on the unseen but, I'd say the gods are up to their mischief again. What say ye to a toast of teamship? Eagle is finding himself in a social high. It had been so long since he's had real friends. He didn't want to get his hopes up, he just wanted to savor it while it lasted.
In the morning's revelry, Yngwie was quietly eating and obviously distracted and perturbed by something. He said nothing to the current conversation.

Along with Eagle, Ameiko also turns around to Yngwei. She leans on the table with her elbow and places her chin on her fist and tries to mimic his face as she asks, "Yeah, why such a Debbie Downer?"

Julen peels bits of egg off his face, and tries to put the chair back together for a bit before giving up. He cleans up the mess his breakfast plate made while mumbling something about how the chair is prob-ABLY Yngwie's doing. The cur.
Julen, perhaps unsurprisingly, has decided to keep his overlarge mouth shut for now.
"Why try and let them live?" Yngwie asked after a moment, quietly. He waited a few beats, then continued "They were killing people... They came here with the soul purpose of Killing and pillaging. " He finishes at a roar and stands up abruptly, shoving Eagle on top of Julen. "It'd be different if you could actually hit them! But no! They continued right on while you missed, trying not to hurt the poor little gobbies! Heroes my left asscheek! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go find a shovel to help clean the Children out of the street. Thank you for breakfast, ma'am."

If Eagle falls atop Julen, then the stool he is perched on breaks again. Julen stands up from the wood splinters as a man incensed.
" By the sword and by the damned blades of Chelliax~ I shall no more suffer such villainous attacks. Bear you to the street and gutter.Leave us here to boil astutter, and you will not be missed once. Pitborn, look ye at us askonce Chew upon the bones of the children in the streets alongside blood of our kin spilt in honest effort and in vain fore the guards could not the pain of duty bear in earnest effort to protect our carnival ill-fated. In Sandpoint, little honest port where greenskin thirst was sated.

Xai pretends to calmly sip her morning tea, but is clearly disturbed by the sudden argument. "Oh, my. Someone's furies are clearly out of balance this morning..." She shrivels down in her seat a bit.

Following the embarrassment of landing on Julen, Eagle searched rapidly for a quip to retaliate with, as humor was his fall back, but none came. Instead, he was unusually solemn himself. "Mate, there's plenty of blood to paint the streets as it is. When you've lived a life as I have, you start to look for alternatives to blood. One death scarcely justifies another. " Eagle's eyes begin to sting as memories flood him, he bites the inside of his lip. Stop that Eagle, not here.

After the stool breaks, Ameiko is quick to jump in, "Woah woah woah, I think this is a conversation best had outside. Why don't you all go out for some air?" She tries to sound calm, but she is speaking through gritted teeth. It is clear that it wasn't a suggestion.
Still reeling from the incredible awkwardness of the blowup between Eagle and Yngwie, Xai follows Julen out and begins wandering, keeping an eye on him but not making a great deal of conversation aside from exchanging pleasantries while she does what she can with the cleanup effort.
She seems bothered by something, replaying the prior day's battles in her head and wondering what went wrong with her; her fighting skills had never failed her so dramatically before, nor had she ever felt so doubtful of her own abilities. Was it the change in scenery? Or were the ever-worsening nightmares finally causing her to crack? She finally forces herself to move past the issue, chalking it up to a bad day to clear her karmic pallet and start anew today. But I'll keep watching Julen's fighting style should another bit of combat come up, she thinks. He's a gifted fighter. I could learn much from him.
Finally, she decides to find out if there are any weapon and/or armor merchants in Sandpoint that might be interested in purchasing the masterwork goblin weapon they had found on the commando. Perhaps returning with some money might cheer up her new friends! ...she hoped.

Eagle sat in the bar alone. He was causing no trouble, so he could stay. He took a long drink, and observed the other bargoers through the top of his glass. Eagle knew most of them. He was friends with most of them. Friends... he hadn't had friends for ages. He thought he might but now... who knows? He looks at Aura, who's curled up beneath the table. "You and me, sweetness, just like always. " He stood up to find a quiet place to sit. He didn't know many, but he was in a rare mood. The memories...

At the same time, his body snaps to a kind of mock attention. He has a distinctly goofy smile on his face. “Sir yes I do sir! I wish not so for now, for we are at present fallen in row. Pitborn has no mercy for the greenskins. Never fear, the comp’ny is on the mend. With haste and footsteps fleeting I would gather them for your meeting. Forbid, you do seek them presently. If such case, may we avoid pleasantry? Perhaps tis best to reconvene at your, respectable master, red-painted door.”
Almost absentmindedly, he adds ”Is Keetan come to Sandpoint yet today? I know my mentor had planned to be here. Soon, but how soon he neglected to say...”

"'Heroes of Sandpoint'...?" Xai asks, confused. "Well, I suppose if there is indeed a discount, there would be no harm in perusing... but what is this 'Heroes of Sandpoint' nonsense?" She glances about for a moment and proceeds into the shop, saying: "Interested in buying this fun novelty weapon? It's well-crafted, and my friends and I took it from the body of a goblin leader. It could be quite the collector's item someday! ...Albeit a collector of what, exactly, I've no idea."
"Heroes, eh...? Well, maybe in one of my past lives..." Xai mumbles. "Anyway, thank you very much. I'll be going, now. Got to meet back up with the other 'Heroes of Sandpoint!' I promise I'll come back for more shopping later, especially if that discount is still valid!"
Xai departs the shop and begins looking around for the others.
Julen and Eagle's paths never meet, however Eagle and Xai bump into each other. Julen does sees Yngwie and calls out to him.
"ho, friend. I must apologize for my outburst this morning. I stand by what I said, but I should not have lashed out like that. As for the sheriff, we should probably stroll through the market first, I saw Xai make off with the little goblin backscratcher. She's probably looking to sell it. "

Xai, for reasons even she cannot comprehend, comes running up to Eagle shouting: "Eagle! Eagle! I sold the thing! I got us 155 gold pieces for it. We can split it up however you guys want. Not bad, huh?" After she calms down, she adds: "Have you seen Yngwie? Are you two still mad at each other...?"

Eagle is relieved to see Xai. He would prefer her at the moment over Julens heroic antics and Yngwies attitude. "[/b]Did you know? Well how bout that! Well see about splitting it up in few minutes. And suppose that won't be mine and Yngwies last disagreement, so nothing to worry about, love. Where are the others?

Xai shrugs. "No idea. I guess we could head back toward the inn and see if we bump into them."
After a few minutes of walking, Yngwie and Julen spot Eagle and Xai walking toward them.

In a quiet side-street, Julen waves them over. When they meet, he says "Hail. The sheriff summons us." Then he checks the street with his guardface on.
"Why are you looking like that? That's weird, Julen." Xai scrutinizes Julen's curious expression for a moment. "Oh, right. I sold that awful goblin sword. Made us 155 gold! We can divvy it up later if you want. Let's go see what the Sheriff has to say. Hope we're not in trouble for some reason. Fairly sure none of my past lives ended up in the slammer."

Eagle laughs. "I understand you come from many walks of life, love. But a convict is indeed a stretch."

Julen chuckles heartily. "Ah so, mistress Xai would be fated for a stretch if she were a convict. I feel while stretching her neighbor inmates, she might great harm inflict..."
The sheriff spots you all across the square, and waives you all to him."It's probably nothing, but Father Zantus discovered that our last priest's tomb door was open this morning. Worst case it's a goblin that hid in there, but I figured I would have you guys along so I could thank you all personally for your heroics.Would you care to follow me to the cemetery?"
Xai blushes thoroughly at the joking compliments she receives, but says nothing. As they turn to leave, she mumbles: "Actually, yes, I do know a hold or two that involve some rather nasty stretching... very painful indeed..."
"Of course we'll come along, Sheriff," Xai says. "I hate it when the dead are disrespected. Let's see what happened."

The sheriff praises you all on your good job and on the way to the cemetery, and we you get there he points to the open door to the tomb and says,"See what I mean?"
"Yes, the door is indeed open," Xai says, squinting into the darkness. "Shall we go in?"
Eagle notices several footprints, and one set is considerably larger than the others.
Eagle also knows that it was about six goblins and one medium humanoid.
Once you enter the tomb, you don't see much besides the sarcophagus in the middle. Then you start to here a clicking sound in the back of the tomb. You suddenly realize that whoever had broken into the vault had left a nasty surprise for you. Two skeletons are on either side of the tomb.
The sheriff curses when he realizes he forgot his weapons and backs out of the tomb. He hands Julen his lantern and shouts "You guys got this?" as he is backing away.
